Why didn't I bought the Protectobots when they were on the shelves? :BANG_HEAD:

I only managed to find Blades today. I'll have to do some serious hunting just to get First Aid and Streetwise. I can just forget Grooves...

I'm having similar regrets for passing on them when they were on shelves. Might have to order them 1 at a time as funds are available. :-?

Here's a funny little haul, with an interesting little story.

Image
"Life Stuff", caused me to cut down on TFs during Prime. I mainly stuck to Cyberverse (which are totally sweet, in my book btw). So I'm kinda slowly catching up on the bigger toys. And trying to do it on the super cheap.

While making a run to target today, I noticed a new store front a couple doors/parking lots down. Go! Games and Toys. The type face and the word Go! reminded me of a place I used to go years ago, in downtown Chicago. Where some legendary deals had been found. Such as, The Fantastic Tale of of Cybertron Primus with Unicron Head for $23.50!
So I went there. This was Games and Toys. The place in Chicago was Games and Calendars. It is a toy liquidator store. everything is %50 off the marked price. All the time.(of course everything is marked up, so everything is more like %35 to %40 off MSRP) Good deal none the less. So I nabbed these guys for $9.99 a piece. Easy! They didn't have much else for TFs. A Windblade, some movie and Prime Cyberverse, AOE flippers, but they DID have one CW Silverbolt for 15 bucks. He was in a pretty heavily damaged box. Lots of Kreo too.
Anyway if you ever see this place. GO! in. You might find an Easter egg.

I totally second that! She is the best Dragon TF out of that line. At least in terms of transformation and alt mode. Mega Congrats Cobotron! Let us know how you find her.

PS: I hope that starscream doesnt tick you off as much as it did with me.

Just finished opening them. Ripclaw IS awesome! Haven't quite figured out what's up with the tail, but cool fig. Both modes are great. Transformation is cool. Love the shoulder armor and the head sculpts, dragon and bot. I wonder how all this rubber will hold up over time?
Starscream is ok. I thought he was a retool, but he is his own mold, ya? Can't stand up to save his life, but He's neat looking, and I like his fruity colors.

I am really loving most the PRID and BH stuff, but my main beef is with the giant gimmicky weapons. They are crap. Am I outta line for saying so? Although Ripclaw's is kinda cool.

Edit: Ripclaw is a lady? Totally SWEET!
Why so ticked WJ?

Edit, edit: Now I'm gonna have to get all those Go! dragons. #-o

Oh yeah, total crap. But they dont cost you a penny more so I could never complain about them ;)^ . Yeah, starscream is completely a new mold (which I think never got a recolour from hasbro). I didnt like that toy though and sold him the moment I got the First Edition mold. I found the transformation very lazy for a plane transformer and that antenna on his head ticked me off to no end. But I must admit that it is neat he got an original sculpt.

I really liked that BH Soundwave too. It was really neat how they retooled him by giving him actual arms that fold down instead of just having hands hanging off the wings. And I really love how they gave him ravage, which makes BH Soundwave the only way of aquiring this fully unique prime "casettebot". The way he fits on Soundwave<s chest is awesome.

By the way, the Beast Hunters Dreadwing and Bulkhead molds are also completely new. I like how they went out of their way to give new stuff in a line that could have just been full of redecos.

In case you want to reply as I edit, I will make a new post. You are in luck if you want the Go! Dragons. They are cheaper now than when they were available for preorder...at amiami !!!

All except for Ripclaw which you have. Here are the links, have fun, you are about to collect 2 of the best headsculpts ever made in TF history:

http://www.amazon.com/Takara-Tomy-Transformers-Go-G04/dp/B00CXE0AXI/ref=pd_sim_21_1?ie=UTF8&refRID=161CHJEN9ZGMQ6HHR28E&dpID=51-W7p8%252Bo1L&dpSrc=sims&preST=_AC_UL160_SR160%2C160_

http://www.amazon.com/Transformers-Judora-Figure-Takara-Tomy/dp/B00DQ1AJTW/ref=pd_sim_21_2?ie=UTF8&refRID=161CHJEN9ZGMQ6HHR28E&dpID=512HNbFbpKL&dpSrc=sims&preST=_AC_UL160_SR160%2C160_

http://www.amazon.com/Transformer-Go-G23-Guren-Dragotron/dp/B00FAI20NW/ref=sr_1_19?ie=UTF8&qid=1442030738&sr=8-19&keywords=transformers+go%21

http://www.amazon.com/Transformers-Go-G08-Budora-japan/dp/B00DQ1AJRY/ref=sr_1_5?ie=UTF8&qid=1442030716&sr=8-5&keywords=transformers+go%21

And for good measure: http://www.amazon.com/Transformers-Go-G18-Hunter-Soundwave/dp/B00C1TV3V8/ref=sr_1_8?ie=UTF8&qid=1442030716&sr=8-8&keywords=transformers+go%21

Check the OTHER SELLERS section since most are free shipping and even cheaper than the amazon subsidised one. People are losing money on these since shipping is at least 5-10$ a toy.

WHAT?!?!?!?!?! You have been very very lucky with distribution since you got back in the game. With Arcee, Brainstorm, CW and the rest. I am very happy for you! Let us know how you find him.

2 Different questions: Is he worth it? Do you like him?

IS it luck? Or is it 20 years of hard training that has honed my hunting skills?

Billy-Jim wrote: Is he worth it?
IMO, totally! I think this price point is right where these should be. The cars should be $49.99 and the seekers sit comfortably at $60 as opposed to Sunstorm at $79.99. Starscream is solid. He doesn't have any of the flaws or mold fatigue that Sunstorm exhibited. There is a little bit of mold flashing, but he looks and feels good. I did have $10 in R Us Rewards so that made him even more worth it, but I would have paid full price.

Liam-Ames wrote: Do you like him?
Yes! For some reason I am more excited for him than I was for Sunstorm. Maybe it's the classic character/deco, and now I feel like I have a leader for my MP Decepticons. The transformation is cool and far better than the original Seeker mold (despite the chest slidy thing). The colors and plastics used look really nice. The grey/silver has a nice subtle metallic sheen/swirl, and the blue has a great metallicness to it also.

Only 2 minor complaints. The tabs that hold his wings to his back in robot mode aren't holding that well, and the instructions are totally whack. They are for the right toy this time but he comes packed in jet mode and the instructions go robot to jet. It's totally doable but just annoying. Hasbro can't seem to get the instructions right for these Seekers.

Will, do you not have a version of the redo MP Seeker mold? I thought you did. If not, I think this is your best opportunity to experience this mold at a reasonable price. Plus your Apolyon needs this chump to kick around. :-P :D

Well K, I guess that was kinda my point. I don't think so. That new Takara Thundercracker looks beautiful, but I wouldn't pay $200 for it. If this Starscream cost that much I would have stuck with my Hasbro Skywarp (old mold) and Sunstorm. But I do think he is worth $60 US.
What is the MSRP on this guy in Canada? The current equivalent in Queens money?

Regular price would be 90$CAN+15$tx in Quebec, meaning 103.48$CAN total. Or 78.05US with taxes. A bit expensive, but perfectly fair for a leader sized MP. However, the coronation kit itself is NOT worth an extra 150$. I'm still pissed off to have lost my really awesome MP-03(g1) for a very average and clearly overpriced figure. 100$, OK. 200$+, hell no.

Note that MP Silverstreak was also priced at 90$CAN plus taxes. Hell no at that price, but perfectly okay with the 30% off promo I used.

I just checked conversion. They are still weirdly over priced up north. 60 US = 79 Can. I don't understand the pricing on these things. TRU is guaging. we know this. But why was Sunstorm $20 more last year for the exact same release as this Starscream? (I don't expect you to know the answers  I'm just asking the the cosmos here. )

The ridiculous thing is, I was perfectly fine shelling out 200 bucks for MP Ultra Magnus. Leaves me asking myself, WTF me?

I only had the original mold which broke after a few transformations. And Appolyon can always take it out on the Leader Gen Starscream coming out by the end of the year.

But that aside, I thank you greatly for your in depth review. I hope the wings dont tick me off and can stay put. Do you enjoy transforming him?

Also, while he is 76$ US in Canada, I was able to get him for less (47$US) as did anyone else who followed the instructions I laid out. But you knew that already ;)

Not a haul per se, but in Friday I got my shipping notice from HLJ for Grand Scourge. This is my first time shopping with them and I was a dumbass and didn't get tracking, so anyone know how long they usually take to ship to the east coast of the US?

PRiD Soundwave actually has arms that fold the same way.

Not exactly. See below how the arms for BH soundwave are a black piece extending outside of the wings:

Each forearm has been completely replaced. Instead of one thin piece, the outer part is a sleek wing piece with a curve at the end and three "blades" near the elbow. His hands are now a separate (and very thin) piece of plastic that can swing inward.

Oh and Shajaki, CONGRATS!!!!!!!!!!!!

So after paying out nearly $2500 in bills, organising, running, and performing in a two day jazz festival, I was looking forward to sitting down and having three days off.

Nope, stupid server at work decided to just ... stop. As it's new and haven't been given correct instructions on how to work on it remotely from him, I drove into work.

At 7:15am, on a Monday morning. When I'm suppose to be on holidays.

So I decided. "RARGH! I WANT PLASTIC CRACK!"

So I went out and got RiD Grimlock. I've been very slow in getting the RiD figures and am only getting the deluxes (and even then mostly the Autobots because I just don't care about the Decepticon characters) so he joins Strongarm, Drift and one-step Fix-It.

Nice figure, dino head is a bit floppy but that's easily over-looked. Made me feel better too.
