Well I have PRID Magnus and its a fun mold. Been a minute since I've folded him up, but I remember the transformation being pretty clever and fun. Possibly more so than the FE. I really only wanted Megs, but they were sold together. Haven't made up my mind what I'm going do with Prime yet.

I also have FoC Sideswipe. I got Jazz cause he's Jazz, and you know, Jazz... Anyway he is the light blue visor variant, so I'm pleased. The transformation is satisfying, and he is fun to pose, but the big chest hole is kind of a bummer.

Haven't cracked anything opened yet, I'm a bit overwhelmed at the moment. I'll probably sit on the pile for a few days before touching any of it.

She did! I was going to pass on the rest of Defensor and Cyclonus, I'm glad she didn't. I have to say, Hotspot is the sturdiest combiner.

Awesome! I managed to find one also. Just to let you know contrary to rumor, the plastic is on par meaning identical with Takara's release. Cockpit to waist has been fixed. Joints are tighter. Really it's just a matter of preference of deco. The "blue painted nose cone" isn't painted at all, in fact the Takara release is painted over blue plastic. Anyone out there worried about quality vs set your worries aside. Wings tab into the back.

Yeah, I understand. I felt the same way until I saw him in person. Honestly, he's enough of a reworking to make him a new figure, rather than just Silverbolt in purple. The wings and nose are all new, and he's so purple that it's not even a purple repaint, if that makes any sense. I like him, and I was expecting purple Silverbolt with new head as well. For the few years ago $19 Voyager price, he'd be a sure thing, but at the now $22-24 Voyager price, I can totally understand the trepidation.
I'm happy with him though.

I bought him two weeks ago and brought him back to the store. Het backpanels on his legs/back of the plane where misaligned, with no way of correcting them. When I opened up another one in the store (with an employee), the same problem occured. The misalignment causes the torso and the jet to stay loose, so only the robotmode works. Also, the large gun was warped on both toys.

And today, because I could, and because I don't actually have the mold, and also because I'm a tight arse skint and he was still on special, I got CW Warpath.

Mine does the leg misalignment thing too, but I think I remember Silverbolt doing that as well. I have to give the legs a little squeeze in jet mode to have them tab all the way, and then the wings fit right over them fine. Overall his plastic feels a bit thin, especially the wings, and the knees feel bendy during transformation which is a little bit scary. I think he looks good by himself and I'm not overly interested in torso mode, so I'm not too concerned with that.

He does feel like the weakest --physically-- of the Voyagers, no doubt. My Hot Spot feels a little flimsy as well. Maybe it's a wave wide issue?

It looks like it's a wave wide issue.

Funny thing is, my Silverbolt is just dandy. That's why I got Cyclonus without too much thought.

Here is my haul for the day. That Optimus was in a bag of junk at a second hand store for 3.99$, so I said why not. Big mistake

Ultra Magnus is awesome though! Really like this leader class transformation. It is perfect, the way every part in robot mode becomes something else in vehicle mode. It<s very fun. I am not fond of how light he is, and someone has to send me instructions as to how to make him hols his weapons (especially his hammer), but overall I like him quite a bit. Great looking robot mode, aside from the limiting ratchets in his hips which inhibit great poses. I love that shade of blue though!

Oh and can someone tell me what these are for? I dont get why they rotate since when the missile are pegged in you cant flip them, and the vehice mode doesnt let you flip these flaps either, its really weird.

Nice Will! Bummer about the OP for the wee one.

Answers. If you get the flat backs of those guns just square against the palm of his hands, you can close the fingers around the handles just right. With the big main blaster, make sure the trigger is just above the trigger finger. As for the hammer, it's pretty limited. On either side of the hand hold are those double rings, slide the space between the bottom rings into the slot in the blue piece of forearm under his hand.

Shoulder flaps. I believe they are hinged to give his arms more pose-ability and range of motion in robot mode. That way his biceps can swing all the way up. It sort of makes up for his shoulders only being on a swivel. I actually find this a nice added little detail and consideration on HT's part, other wise he'd have the shoulder articulation of a titan shampoo bottle. :lol:
