Hope the Blitzwing version is good for you. I needed me a quality Voyager G1 Megs and I'm really happy with the figure and all three of it's modes (and how many ways you can combine and attach his weapons). Only thing I don't like so far is the red wheels on his arms. If in black they'd be a lot less inconspicuous especially since they break through the tank treads (to roll in tank mode). I may paint those so they're hidden particularly on the forearms. But yes I don't know how retooled the Blitzwing version will be but it's a great and very solid mold to begin with. I can't seem to stop playing with it. Hasn't gone on the shelf yet cos I've been keeping it on my desk while I work on projects.

Here's pics of Megatron in all 3 modes. Was my first time transforming him so the tank isn't quite 'flush' but close enough. Jet mode really reminds me of Starscream. Given a few allowances for the sheer difficulty of designing a TF that has two or more alt-modes in addition to a cool robot mode I think he's a very successful triple changer in all modes. (Again I didn't spring up the bits in robot mode on either side of his head...which are again kinda Starscream-ish cos I just prefer it without them and they get in the way a bit of head turning and using the weapon ports up there where you can have shoulder mounted cannons like Soundwave)

Well, I'm glad to see some people are finding Megatrons that aren't a floppy mess. The QC on the one I had was just terrible.

You know, when these 1steps were first released, I thought they were pretty stupid. The pure fun and joy they bring to my little boys though, well, it makes them some of the greatest transformers ever made. Plus, they love holding and playing with the figures while they watch the show!

Out of all the official TF figures I've bought (and sold) in past year or so my Megatron has by far the least amount of floppy joints or parts. Everything holds up well, clicks into place snugly and had nothing to attempt to fix (apart from that bit I broke cos I thought it would lift up but doesn't but already fixed)

I'm still a bit upset over the looseness of Takara Titans Blurr's antenna which I attempted to fix only to get distracted by an unpleasant phone call and is now permamantly glued halfway in.

Painted Megatron's Titan Master gun so when combined with the fusion cannon is looks more as a whole and more weighty and powerful. Dunno why they didn't just do it in black in the first place. The black also makes the hollow seating area much less obvious too.

That fusion cannon looks much better painted!

CW Leader Megz remains my new school fave incarnation though....I'd love Megz 2.0, but at $220, maybe not..... ;_;

Yeah Leader Megs is great but sold out and silly monies plus too big for my collecting scale of figures and affordability where this Voyager is more than sufficient.

Yeah, to get him now would be expensive - I have seen him 2 or 3 times randomly at Target and Walmart on the hunt for others....must be random back stock.

I cannot unsee Meg's gun add-on in anything but black now!! So much win with painting it black.

There's no denying it, it IS an amazing figure. Just add a set of reprolabels to make it perfect. BTW, all the red bits are a callback to the G1 toy. If you are not already overdosing on Megs, it is a great purchase.

However, on my end, I already have the Henkei voyager, the Gen Leeder, the original G1, the Cybertronian deluxe, the Animated Leader, and the Titanium War Within. Also, Hegemon, who rot in his box.

The final nail in this coffin are butjet and space limitations. So, after Combiner Wars, I'll stop buying remolds and repaints whennever possible. And because Blitzwing will be a sure purchase, AND will be light years better than the horrible previous Generations, I gotta skip on this Megs.

Still...
This may be an impulse purchase if I ever come accross it on clearance at 15 or 20$CAN.

I wasn't gonna, but I did anyway, and I have no regrets. Overkill is basically just a blue Crashbash, but Crashbash is fricken awesome, so he gets an A+ in my book.

Also got a semi-haul as well. My mom took me and my siblings out to Target to buy gifts for each other for Christmas, and when I went to the TF aisle, they had a couple of A3s and Astrotrains. I gestured towards Astrotrain and said to my brother "Hey, this would be a neat Christmas gift". He picked it up and said "Merry Christmas". A similar interaction occurred with A3 and my sister, so I've got those two waiting for me.

That Megatron - in that colour scheme at least - always reminded me of the Unicron Trilogy guy. It's a very weird scheme for him to have, but ah well. Looks good and you're lucky to find it! Why'd you want G1 Scoop out of curiosity?

Been awhile since I had a haul.

Terrible pic but I was in a hurry to get to fiddling with them.

It's spaceguy, double dragon, porkypine, and uni-lion.

Edit: a slightly better picture. My lens must be dirty or something because I cannot get a decent pic anymore.
