Thanks to a sale and part 1/3 of a Hasbro coupon for Toys R Us, I got myself a leader PotP Optimus Prime (finally!) and a PotP voyager Hun Gurr as the clerk unload it from the truck.................... for 54$CAN! WITH the taxes! Man, what a deal!

Optimus is VERY good. He look amazing in bot mode and the Orion Pax component is pretty boss. Unfortunately mine have a bit of a QC issue with Orion's left leg tending to pop off the ball joint to easily. Oh well. Truck look like ass, but I had genuine fun figuring his transformation. I never glanced at the instructions. Everything is intuitive and FUN. Man, I love that figure more than I thought I would.

As for Hun Gurr, I was sure that I was going to skip Abobinus. But the TrU clerk was dangling him and Elita One in front of my nose. That sonnova! He was like: "Not even officially on the shelf, now, want dibs?" I skip Elita with no regret but I bit hard on Hun Gurr. No regrets here. That figure blew me away! Not looking at the instructions, he was easy to figure out for both modes. I think he may be the most SOLID combiner torso yet.

All right Hasbro, you fabulous bastards. You won. I WILL make PotP Abobinus. I'll also hunt down the G1 version. It will be a while before that display is complete though.

Good haul Kan. I too found Prime to be quite impressive, and I was surprised how solid Hunger's torso mode was. I'm so jacked about completing Abom 8-}

Part 2 of 4 of the June Online haul has arrived! He came with most of the cardstock too!

Funny thing was, I got him out of the packaging in rat mode and set him aside to watch a movie with the girlfriend (I don't like figures sitting in packaging, they need to be out in the open). When we had to pause the movie halfway through because I had to take a call from mi mama, she picked him up and transformed him without the instructions. I was surprised and impressed!

That’s basically my take on toys. In my opinion they’re meant to be played with, posed, played with, and reposed. I do get why lots of collectors try to keep their figures MISB, but that’s just not for me.

TM Rattrap really is such a quality figure. He’s a lot of fun, in such a small package, and is somehow really well balanced, despite his backpack. Thankfully mine hasn’t succumbed to that pesky metallic paint flaking.

What I more meant here was that I can't stand for him to be in a shipping bag for a weekend! but I still open all my figures, I won't be keeping any in box, they deserve to actually transform and be messed with

D-Max - nice! I just got Jawbreaker at the very beginning of the month. He’s pretty great. That beast mode is so ferocious looking.

Well all my orders came in. I can honestly say that I’ve never dropped this much on toys all at once before. I just got paid for a few design jobs, so I might have gone a little overboard. Going to have to take it easy on toys for the next couple months. I did get some pretty great deals on most of these though.

Nice haul Bucky! You and I both can appreciate the transmetals. I have the white PrOWL and he's pretty funky but I love the beast mode. Makes for some great shots!

Been waiting on Greatshot for almost 3 months now since he was running late and then I shipped the previous stack minutes before he came in stock!

Got a Real Barry this time, and I'm super thrilled. Got him on the TFsource Memorial day sale too, $80! retail price score!

Haven't gotten myself anything in a while, so I picked up Authentics Grimlock. Actually pretty good for the price, decent articulation and transformation, both modes look decent despite a few flaws and sacrifices, and it's got good enough plastic quality to not feel like a knockoff despite being "oversized" (and i don't necessarily mind getting a Voyager-sized figure for a Legends-sized price).

No intention of getting Optimus or Bumblebee, though, something went really wrong with those two.

Emerge - thundercracker is absolutely worth picking up, when you get the chance. The paint on these three is gorgeous. Especially Starscream. It really takes a decent mold, and brings it up to a whole other polished level.

Kanrabat - yeaaah, the coneheads set me back a bit, but at least they were on sale. They’re worth it to me. I don’t think I could have financially justified buying them at full price though. Now I just need Skywarp, and my seekers are complete.

D-Max - Thats a nice haul you’ve got, too. Im really tempted by that Greatshot.
I’m just trying to get as many of the transmetals that I like, where I can. I’ve had some good luck so far. The ones I just picked up are pretty amazing. Especially Prowl, Scarem and Scourge. His colors are wild, and he’s pretty huge for his size class. TM2 Airazor is still my favorite.

There was something that was rotting away in storage:

A MTG Arabian Nights Serendib Efreet in played condition. I sold my 3 others on Ebay at 40$ each years ago on Ebay. My last one I traded it in for store credits at my local geek store. What did I got?

Yup. G1 Headmasters Juniors Downbeat and Siren, all 100% complete and in perfect condition. That's the closest I can get to have the Masterforce kids. Furthermore, G1 Throttlebot Goldbug, in perfect condition. That thing can ROLL! Oh yeah, tech specs included for good measure.

And I thought I was done trading. :shock:

Neat, the Autobot "Juniors" are pretty nice figures for their simplicity and surprisingly big in bot mode. They felt more like the regular Headmasters, compared the diminutive Decepticons.

My seller only have Hosehead left. The Decepticons were all sold. Still, they never interested me because they are too bizzare for the price. Plus no emotional attachment.

Will I ever get Hosehead to complete the Autobot trio? Maybe by bringing something. But I won't pay cash for it. Plus compared to Nightbeat and Siren, he's not rare at all. :-?

Looking forward to complete my PotP Abominus, I went ahead and bought the original G1 version. 100% complete of course. I bought it from a Quebec store from Ebay so I still had to pay taxes and expensive shipping. Despite that, it was still the cheapest option for me at 180$CAN shipped. Plus the thing came in less than 36 hours! :shock:

The monster modes are very cool and solid. These are obviously the main modes of those TFs. I love their weirdness. Hung Gurr have a loose hind leg at the knee (elbow of bot) but it can still work pretty well.

Appart Hung Gurr, the individual bots look REALLY bad. Dinky arms and monster kibbles aplenty. But eh, forgivable due to their size.

The combined mode is SPECTACULAR. Yes, I reversed the arms from the official configuration, but it was the best way to interate EVERY GUNS into the combiner. It look really good.

That posability..... Is this really G1? And a gestalt combiner?! :shock:

Hang in there G1 Abominus. Your grandson's limbs will eventually hit my local stores...

TlDr; Geewun Abominus is GOOD. Buy it if you find it.

That Grapple coin is just bizarre! The face is a terrible likeness and while the truck side is nicely detailed they chose the bucket instead of the hook.
