Huh. My NP shipped directly in his marked cardboard box, but Repugnus and Blast Off got the bubble mailer treatment despite also having the cardboard boxes. Maybe only early batches have the boxes?

My Repugnus and Blastoff came in the extra brown boxes thankfully. Last month I ordered SS Megs and Brawl from Amazon and they both came in envelopes. Meg’s box was all beat to hell. Even the cardboard background inside was damaged.
Had some good luck, though! Yesterday I found an Elita-1 at Target for $22.50. Almost didn’t pick her up, because I honestly thought I wouldn’t like the figure, I’m very happy to say I was wrong. I actually like her a lot more than Hun-Gurrr which came from Amazon yesterday (in a box). He’s exactly what I anticipated. Fine bot mode, abysmal dragon mode. He would have been markedly improved simply by having some beefier forelimbs, with elbows.
But today I got a MIB TM Optimus Primal! One of my favorite toys growing up. Won him on an eBay auction for a fair price. $40 plus shipping. Cheaper than what he typically goes for. Zero chipping or cracking on his TM paint.
For me, this is the best figure that I’ve bought in a long while.

D-Max - I know, right? The Transmetals are awesome in their own right, but a big part of me collecting them now, is that I’m trying to rebuild the collection I had growing up. There’s a few that got a lot more attention than the others, and TM Primal was one of those. He’s every bit as great as I remember.
Shajaki - Woah. That...that is a haul. I’m not shipping my Dinobot until next month. I’m sure that because of his size it won’t be all that cheap to ship him, even with the economical option. So I figure I’d wait and see if there’s anything I want/can afford to toss into the shipment in September.
I’m actually a little worried about how much even the SAL option for him will be from HLJ. I don’t mind waiting 4 or 5 weeks for him to arrive, if it saves.

Starting to love that second hand toy store I’ve been going to! To be totally honest I didn’t get Hot Spot today but I still got him there and wanted to say how great a figure it is. I like him a lot more than the Combiner Wars voyager.

It was my birthday day-before-yesterday and my wife was kind enough to give me some cash for converting robot toys, so I got the Titan Master Repugnus - the Headmaster with bug shell, not the Amazon Deluxe sadly - and the TLK Deluxe Cogman which only recently appeared in New Zealand.
My wife called Repugnus' bug mode "a demented chicken" and was horrified when I showed her the Repugnus head on Cogman's body! She was very impressed with his bot and car modes, however.
