Unless that's a Canadian citizen thing, does that mean it bring it's price back to the same as the normal price of the previous release?

Pretty much, OG was $40, new one is $60, so 25% off brings it down to $45, but with Target's Redcard and another 5% off, it was pretty much back to the original price, so I said why not. I was regretting passing on the first one, so this worked out pretty well.

Went hunting today. Walmart is TRASH.

Toys R Us was barren too, safe for two ER Thrust that I didn't pick up. I don't want him and I'm no scalper.
At least they had some things on clearance so I took the one Micromaster team that I missed and that Cyberverse Rodimus VS Sharkticons pack for my shark collection.
Rodimus is okay for what it is, but the tiny Sharkticons are clever and so CUTE!

Ah, well that price isn't that far off from the US price then after exchange. I still thing the US price is grossly overpriced compared to the first one.

60$CAN. And I'm still pissed off about it. Gigawatt would be worth 40$CAN at the very most. meaning 30$CAN for the base deluxe price, then add 10$ for the "premium upgrade". But DOUBLE the deluxe price is bulls#it.

Add insult to injury to the fact that they produced the damn thing like there's no tomorrow and he's EVERYWHERE like plague rats. Want the latest SS86 or Kingdom? Hell, even the previous SS or ER wave? GET BENT! Have Gigawatts aplenty instead!

Late to the party as always, I've gotten two more 'bots- Hoist and Grapple!


Hoist is fun. Transformation is a bit finnicky and I don't like the arm flaps much, but he's still cool. Really love his deco.


Grapple is amazing, probably my favourite of the two. I've shaved his pegs a bit to avoid the infamous breakage problem- pegs aside, his transformation is great, pretty simple and fun but interesting. I wish his head was on a balljoint though.

And here they are with some other industrial 'bots!

What I did for Grapple was not to shave the pegs, but to drill the holes under the feet a bit to make the Hexagons rounders. Just a few seconds of work for a result that is not apparent and damn effective.

So far, so meh. I haven't transformed him yet, but have definitely been frustrated by the backpack barely staying on and how the gun connects. Really glad I didn't pay full price, but still underwhelmed.

Yup, sad to see that it's not just my copy. Definitely the most underwhelming TF of 2021 so far

Nothing big, but I was happy enough to find Warpath, Cheetor, and Blackarachnia at Target. Blackarachnia is easily my favorite of the deluxes. So far, with the exception of Cheetor, these Kingdom beast bots are great. Although I haven’t gotten my hands on Megatron yet.

Oh yes I did. But look like you missed my post and then being a main thread, the post have a few pages piled on. So I'll TlDr here:

Optimus: If it's not broken, don't fix it. Simple, and effective. Bot is the same size as Megs and Starscream yet the vehicle is tiny, scaling well with them.

Bee: Haven't found it.

Megatron: Appart the huge backpack in bot mode, he's fantastic. Great paint and sexy tank mode.

Starscream: Perfect bot mode, decent jet mode, and a mind-blowing transformation.

Rattrap: Tiny, cute, in scale, and an impressive transformation.

Vertebrax: Cool and simple.

Verdict: Each ones are well worth their full 14$CAN price.

I did finally get around to transforming him today and like him a bit better, if fact it is really just the backpack that annoys me and mainly for robot mode. Still not a fan of the rubber hoses and how they connect. The connection for car mode is pretty secure and everything lines up nice for me, so I was pleasantly surprised when I first converted him. It is really just the robot mode backpack that is such a disappointment, the connection is seriously lacking. Glad I got him, but even more glad I didn't pay full price.

Got in another one of my most wanted figures today. Cybertron Metroplex, 100% complete and in fantastic condition! I knew he was a large figure, but wow I can not believe how tall he is (Lego Ironman for scale). Also, every joint on the this guy is a ratchet, he makes music every time he is moved. Now just one more "giant" figure and I can cross another team off my wanted list.

I have been stalking him on ebay for months now and was able to snag him for about $57 (US) all in. If you watch long enough you'll get the right one. Good luck!
