Had this beauty arrive in the mail today.

I love the crazy designs Beast Wars had in the later seasons. Turning Megatron into a dragon, who looks like a demon in bot mode, covered in shiney chrome, is just the kind of excessiveness I need.

Only came with one missle, and its stuck in his mouth (think the chromed plastic inside degraded so it won't fire), but otherwise in great condition with minimum chrome flaking. He's going on the top shelf with my old Optimal Optimus.

After passing on him the first 3-4 times I saw him in store, I finally decided to pick up Kingdom Ultra Magnus.

I have the Siege version (which will be going on ebay) so the Kingdom version wasn't a must have. It is the white they used that finally sold me on the Kingdom version, it is just so bright and shiny.

I've seen more people picking up Leader UM. I got the Netflix version just Because I wanted Battle Rung, but I didn't already have the Siege Magnus, so Netflix became my UM. Leader Class are like spotting Bigfoot in my area. I've seen Beast Megatron twice (and I think the 2nd time was from wave 2), and Ultra Magnus once. Oddly enough, I never seen Optimus in the Kingdom packaging.

Definitely waiting a bit on him and likely the rest of my Siege sell-offs. I'll wait at least until Huffer (CW legends is in the same pile) and UM aren't at retail anymore.

I managed to get one with the shoulders assembled correctly, but as a tradeoff with a stress mark in the corner of the button, which was hard to push so yeah, maybe my fault. :???:

The little guys are so simple, kinda remind me of the updated battlebeasts/botshots. Straighten legs, turn around, done. Liking the ball joints to allow sitting or monster head movement and I think these little critters will be more for motu display as some weird eternian things.

The big bug is one of those toys that feels like it should do more (and not have a decepticon symbol on it, but hey its hasbro and if they ever master faction symbols the world will end - yes I've seen the cyberverse episode). Still a nice figure though.

I just remembered this despite the preggo brain! That and I was just looking at mine last night while moving her.

If you look at the pins in her shoulder:
Correctly assembled is where the pins are recessed in the shoulder when viewing the figure from the front.
Incorrectly assembled is where the pins are flush with the shoulder when viewing from the front.

If you look at the pins in her shoulder:

Or put differently, the smaller end of the pin has to face forward in robot mode like it does in the stock image. If the wider end (basically the size of the recessed area) is in front, it's misassembled. The shoulder detailing is also different between the front and back, another clue to look out for.

I will warn you, Elit-1 has minor tolerance issues in her red plastic (hence the stress mark), and the thigh joints are painted, making them even tighter :shock:

Yesterday I was at Walmart and noticed the giant Funko Pop Optimus Prime, thought it was interesting, but not really something I was going to pay $30 for since I already have the normal one. Then I ended up back at Walmart today and it was moved to the clearance section for $13.48 which was definitely the right price!

Got 3 boxes today! One from Ebay that is a 3P toy, shown in the proper thread.

The other was a silly impulse buy from Ebay at a very, VERY good price!
Botcon Huffer and Universe Treadshot. Both 100% complete and like new!

That version of Huffer work really well and I like it a lot! And that Armada Sideswipe mold is still horrible as ever and I LOVE it! Especially in these colors.

My first MOTU figures ever, Classics He-Man and Skeletor, SS69 Devastator box set, and it's upgrade kit!

The MOTU figures are awaiting their cats. As for Devastator, oh boy. I'll be busy for a while. Going from "almost combined" to vehicles, to bots, to fully combined. This will be a busy weekend. 8-}

Nice haul, I still like that huffer and he's my wrecker wannabe even after getting Kingdom version. Treadshot looks good in those colors and was probably my first 'combining' character that doesn't have a combining mode.

Was shocked to find Cogman still on-shelf in Ohio, and I found the other two bagged together at a Collectors store for cheap.

I have the blue version of that Ironhide already, so it’s cool to have it in screen accurate colors. Was really interested in the Blackout, which as I found out was packed with a different legends class Ironhide when it released, but I gotta admit it’s not very accurate in either mode. Still kinda neat, though, especially since I got up close with an MH-53 at the USAF museum earlier that day!

Thoughts on Cogman are coming to the Studio Series thread shortly.

One of the worst looking alt modes Prime ever had. I dont recomend buying him at full price.

I think I paid $15 for him on clearance thanks to local Walmarts dumping a pallet of them in the middle of their stores and it not selling well at all.

Really his best feature was his giant cleaver.

And Hasbro and Takara Tomy sure did get their mileage out of it.

My local Walmart and Target re-stocked a bit, so I got Hot Rod, Primal and Rattrap (was going to wait for the Netflix two pack of the last two but it's not showing up, so I figured I'd snag the mainline figures while I saw them).
Hot Rod is very impressive. I hadn't watched any reviews on him so I was surprised to see how many accessories he came with. The visor is also a nice touch, so you can recreate the "what? Decepticons!"

The price would be the same either way, unless you have a Target Red Card, or they occasionally go on sale at Target, *might* be the better deal. Anyway the deco differences on the Walmart/Netflix ones are minimal. Besides, even though many other geographical locations in the world has those 2 packs already, the U.S. has to wait until August for whatever reason...
