thats the the thing. for some reason, american stuff crossing the canadian boarder is troublesome. once an item is declared over 150 or something, BAM customs fee. anything, from anywhere else, with any dollar value? nothing.

i still like BBTS, but i try not to deal with them on certain things (like MP's or other big ticket items).

That's the thing. MP Bumble was worth below 80$US but they still charged over 20$ of customs. I bought a MP-11 from China and I had to pay customs as well. 26$ to be exact. The difference is it was for a 200$ purchase, not for a below 80$ purchase.

weird. i havent seen a customs charge in a long time unless it came from the states. my BBTS orders usually cost me 20-50 bucks extra cause the hauls are big (damn pile of loot).

Just picked up Crosscut and Windblade. Crosscut is pretty awesome. Makes me wish I didn't miss-out on Skids. Either way, I'm good with this! Windblade... Well after all my talk of not liking it, I kinda do like it now that I have it. I don't know what the hell it is about it that I like either.

You could probably still find Skids, but, ya know, there is just something more awsomer about Crosscut.
Windblade is not the best toy ever, but she is a pretty lady with a really nice head sculpt and a neat sword.

and yes, i think he's absolutely worth that money. he's rock-solid, looks good, intricate and very nice to transform, unlike mp rodimus.

Obviously, when I said 200$+, it was with shipping and exchange rate.
Finances are tight at the moment and after being burned twice by MP-11 and MP-Bee, I wanna make sure before taking the plundge.

For the record, I overpaid MP-11 at 230$, all fees included. Honestly, I feel it's of LOWER quality than my old MP-03, which I paid 120$ at the time. Sigh.

As for Bee, I made the mistake of ordering from BBTS. Most expensive price ever plus a suprize buttsex err, 26$ custom fee for a whopping 110$ total! Damn, that's an aweful lot of money for a deluxe comparable to HFTD Battle Blades Bumblebee in overall engeneering and quality. The later being sold in stores at 16$.

And Kanrabat, I will just wait it out for Magnus. I want him very much, but there will surely be other ways of getting him, either as a Hasbro version, or an asia reissue of the hasbro version (like I did with MP 10) or with Lena. Hasbro and Takara milk the crap out of these expensive molds, I am sure we will have another chance of getting him at a price similar to what Wilcosu35 got.

For us, canadians, he would cost 199$ US, which becomes 230$ Canadien plus whatever fee the government wants to impose. Question is, holding him in your hands now, would you have paid 200 euros for this?

unlike the MP seekers, he actually feels like a $200 figure, and i would have paid it for him.
i've put him on a scale, and he's just over a kilo. he's chock full of die-cast and an impressive beast to have before you.

Yeah, and right now, the exchange rate is brutal. It is directly related to oil prices and as these are the lowest oil prices we have seen in 5 years, this is the shittist exchange rate we've had in the same amount of time.

And Wilcosu35, thanks for letting us know about the die cast, he does seem far more worth it.

Got Beast Hunters Abominus today. The individual figures are a lot of fun and very well sculpted, although the translucent plastic is...odd. The combined mode, whilst not hugely poseable, is very cool looking and fun to mess with. My only gripe is the weapons- 2 of them (a hammer and a crossbow) snapped, with the bow's peg snapping in the hammer's socket (which was mullered whilst attempting to remove it from said socket). If you can, make sure to have replacement weapons on standby- I've ordered some weapons off ShapeWays to replace the broken ones (which are still technically useable, but have had their modular gimmick somewhat gimped).

That aside he's very cheap on eBay, so by all means pick 'em up.

Just grabbed Tailgate and Groundbuster. Tailgate is pretty underwhelming, especially after having bought Skrapnel and Reflector. He's an alright little robot though. He'll look decent sitting in the background NOT sharing shelf space with Cyclonus.

Is it at all weird that I like Groundbuster more than Tailgate? I mean, there's nothing to him. He faceplants to transform, his weapon mode is stupid, and he's got insanely long arms. But I can't help but like the little guy the same way I like Micromasters.

Well, to be fair, Groundbuster is based on Neutro, albeit with a color scheme changed to match Tailgate's flames. He's even got the fists molded inside of his tread-arms.
