I'll be honest, I went to Chinatown L.A. looking for MP KOs. Didn't find any, but I found this. I never had any intention of going through the trouble of tracking this guy down. But when he's right there in front of you, whatcha gonna do?
I even wangled 'me down 10 bucks. ;)

I really want to get an MP for myself. Not sure which one I want to look into getting first though.

Anyways, got a bit of a haul today.

Only two Dinobots left! Unfortunately, Scorn is going for quite a bit it seems like.

Easy for the MP. You will meet one is a wild encounter at TrU. No matter what it is, grab it. 90% of every MPs ever are simply perfect and amazing.

As for Snarl, don't bother following the instructions for his weapon storage. Do this instead:

The weapon fit pretty snugly under his tail/butt in dino mode!

Got a Salvage to go with my Blurr off of eBay, and it arrived today. One of the few rescue bots with articulation, and an alt mode that's pretty rare.

Not a haul, per se, but I'm glad he found a place in my collection eventually.

Pretty much all MP's from 08 to current (excluding 09) are amazing. If you're looking to test the waters, maybe try and find the upcoming TRU Bluestreak. But I'd recommend any of the ones I just said.

Good haul! I'm interested what you think of Lockdown, as I don't think he was well received. Personally I really enjoyed him though.

I can kind of see why he wouldn't be. He seems pretty thin in robot mode. There's just not a lot there it seems like. His transformation is extremely easy and I was able to do so pretty quickly. Plus his face sculpt doesn't really look like what he did in the movie, imo. All of those things, I could see people being disappointed with him. If it wasn't for the trouble Crosshairs and Slog have with transforming he'd probably be my least favorite that I have so far.

As for Slog, I love his look to death in both Robot and Dino mode. Dude is a beast. But man, those ribs of his are a massive pain in the butt to get into position. I haven't been able to get him into Dino mode completely yet because of them. It's really frustrating and it's a shame since I love his looks so much. Haven't opened the other two, but I'll let you know my thoughts when I finish with them.

Came into a little bundle of things in the last day or two:

Image

Generation Chromia I got as part of a package deal from BBS prompted to by JazZeke Prime, (he got Arcee). I had thought she came with another pistol for some reason, and I still wish there was some way to take her windshield off so she can have a shield like in the IDW comics. Still, great figure.

Generations Bombshell 'cause I already have Shrapnel. Hopefully we get Kickback in the next year, (or some Deluxe Insecticon redecos). And Blackjack - I'm not really into any of the Stunticons, but I already had the original Micromaster so he seemed like a natural buy. (What is that purple thing he has though - an axe? A fan? Pooper scooper?)

Also included is the Complete Allspark Almanac! Because I wanted to show this bad boy off but there was no "non-toy Transformers-related product" thread, or at least none I could find.

A mini haul, but a very satisfying one.

Image

First, I got my first (and most lokely only) TF Happy Meal toy from McDonal, Underbite. It was they only one they had so I took him. NO REGRETS and 2$ well spendt. He's perfect looking, have a fun gimmick, and scale perfectly in my legend/Cyberverse Wars display.

I also got the boxeset of Cobra Guy and Dino-Flower Guy from Sonokong. Both figures are great and I really their 100% biological design. They don't transform. They MUTATE into an human "native" wearing the skins of some mighty beast. Bulbasaur is a bit kibbly in bot mode, but his flower gimmick make up for it. Cobra is my favorite. No kibble and I do love his tail/wip that have a mind of it's own.

Still available for a very reasonable price from two sellers. Feel free to make an offer. I did and it paid.

These are the Sonokong versions, meaning the South Korea ones. They are fully made and licenced by Takara. The only differences are the box and manuals.

And what an awesome box it is. If all TFs came in boxes like these, I wouldnt get rid of any (which is probably a good thing they dont, and it makes these all the more special).

Great box for sure. However, it's a bit too big, came from a standard set, plus, storage space is a bit limited.

So, I hum... trashed it in the recycling bin.

But at least, I kept the manuals and cards! Image

Realized I was actually missing a few RiD Transformers today, so I picked them up while I was out.

Bumblebee was surprisingly difficult to find. I know I checked at least four or five stores before I was able to find him at a Target across town. Steeljaw, however, I've seen all over the place, which is weird since he's the only Decepticon. Are kids just not picking up the villains in a toy line anymore?

Naah, Steeljaw is the figure that is maybe 2 or 3 times per cases, 2 waves in a row. We have a wolfpack at my local TrU as well.

What do you think of the figures? For me, appart the hefty price hike, I find this a pretty solid line overall. Except the fact that some figures have those weird hands-covers that don't transform away like W Strongarm and W Optimus.

What I think of the figures:
Steeljaw. The weakest, He got an interesting design and transformation. Unfortunately, you need his tail for him to stand and the way these arms are designed... scary...

Optimus. I love the guy and he's a lot of fun. His only fault is he don't scale with anything. In vehicle mode, he scale with the Cyberverse figures. In bot mode, he scale with the other deluxe Optimuses.

Bee is amazing. A perfect mold all over. Too bad the Hasbro version is so poorly painted. I have the Takara and it's perfect. A Reprolabels set exist for him, but it will double the price of your figure.

I'm actually really liking the line so far. Drift is far and away my number one pick though. He looks great, is really poseable and has a decent transformation. Bee may have just jumped past Grimlock into the number 2 position though. Steeljaw is definitely the weakest of the bunch though. The way his legs are designed makes it nearly impossible to pose him without using the tail as a crutch and there is no hint that his biceps move forward and back (I didn't realize it for a while and just thought he didn't have an elbow joint). I think if his feet were a bit better designed, it would help him out a lot. I like Strongarm a bit as well, but your right about the weird, covered hands with her and Optimus. As for the big guy himself, he's all right. His transformation is kinda neat, with the shoulders covering his head to make the cab and the legs separating to make the rest of the trailer. He is very out of scale though.

Overall, I'd give the line a solid B.

Hell yeah, Drift is awesome! Did you know his face is just pegged in his head? Just use his horns to wiggle it out. This way, you can easely paint or sharpie his glorious goatie and mustache! Then, once it's dried up, just peg his face right in.

Or make a sadistic pose with a voyager Movie Optimus.

Toys!
000 - Cars.jpg

Oh yes, it's Revenge of the Fallen Ratchet, Hunt for the Decepticons Ironhide, Dark of the Moon Sideswipe, Prime: Robots in Disguise Cliffjumper and Generations Trailcutter. What a mix bag.

001 - Robots.jpg

They are as awesome as they look and just tons of fun. Couldn't love 'm more even if I wanted to.

004 - Headshots.jpg

I usually only buy one toy a month, so I guess because of this exceptional haul I'll force myself off eBay until... October, Jesus.

My last big haul for a little while, have got some pre-orders but those won't be coming for another month at least.

Image

Getting the Allspark Almanac made me want to revisit Animated again, so I managed to find a loose Swoop and Animated Ratchet (Takara release), and also put down an order on Adventures Roadblock from Japan, mainly 'cause I like the Scoop mold and love how he came out in Constructicon green.

Finally after months of trying to find this toy. Earlier today Walmart.com relisted this G1 CW Megatron toy as back in stock. Finally was able to buy one.

Had to also order a $7 Hero Mashers Jetfire. to save $5 in shipping fees and qualify for free shipping. as $50 orders before tax qualify for free shipping.
