Finally, FINALLY I got the YOTH Starscream! Brand new and sealed. I never wanted to pay full price for that TRU Exclusive that never came out in Quebec due to no French on the box. So I bid my time. And now, thanks to local classified, I got it. For only 55$CAN, delivered right to my door!

Also, got my trio of Prime Masters as well. Full price unfortunately.

I'll be moving out to a new apartment at the end of the month so I can't take any out for now.

If you only had enough for 1 of them and want them both, then Rodimus Prime was the best choice since OP is also coming in wave 2 and you'll have more chances.

This guy arrived off the slow boat today. A couple weeks ago I gave up at ever finding him at retail, so I found a good deal on eBay and snapped him up.

Gave myself a little gift today. From my local guy:

G1 Battletrap and two teams of Micromasters!

Battletrap was bought in anticipation to the PotP version. He's dorky as hell but I love it.

As for the Micromasters, the

duocons team will populate my G1 Scorponok while the

Rescue team will populate G1 Fortmax.

This lot was expensive as balls, but well worth it.

Movie toys are back at their full prices in Canada. Except for the Legions who are 5$CAN instead of 10$CAN.

I found Optimus and Megatron. Only one of each in a troop of Hounds. Guess how much I paid for them?

ZERO dollars. For each of them. :-P

The Hounds scanned at 5$ as they should be but Megs and Optimus scanned at 10$ for reasons. Using the Accurate Labelling Law of Quebec, I made two separate purchases at two different cashiers. In each cases, the figure came free because of the 10$ penalty the law impose.

I already had Megs and that Optimus mold. But I knew I would have those figure for free. So at that price, my sealed-on-card collection can use those two! ;)^

My Grotusque arrived as well. I'll never know why TRU thinks it's a good idea to ship adult collectibles in little more than a thinly padded brown paper bag. :evil:

With such inconsideration for their own products I'm surprised they didn't just slap a shipping label directly on the box and call it a day. :BANG_HEAD:

The bottom front edge is crushed in and the part of the bubble that says "Grotusque" is cracked with a big hole broken out under the "u". If it weren't for exclusives I'd never buy anything from TRU, I'm just sick of them as a company (this isn't the first time they've done this to me and their customer service doesn't care) and wont miss them at all when they're gone.

At least the figure isn't broken. He's pretty fantastic and looks great next to the Takara Tomy Doublecross thanks to the premium paint on both. I really wish his gun had a middle handle so he could hold it like the G1 gun, but it's fine, at least he can still mount it to his back. I hadn't realized from pictures that his beast thighs and feet are different from Doublecross, but the lower leg (the furry bit) is the same. Really cool how much they changed to pull this off.

He was at the top of my list for figures that I most wanted to see get a remake so I'm very excited about finally having this on my desk!

They must use the same system that Amazon uses, a box 3 times as large with a single air pillow. My Grotusque shipped in a flat long box, it could have held three of them with room for bubble wrap. Fortunately I padded the order (in hindsight both figuratively and literally) with another toy for free shipping. My box wasn't beat up, but it's no longer collectible grade. It's a real shame considering how cool these boxes are. I kinda wanted to mount it on the wall figures sill intact. Makes me want to order Arcee just for the box. I hope Hasbro keeps using these boxes for future special editions *cough* Blast-off *cough*

I rarely give TRU money, more because their in store inventory is lacking than anything else. With lack of stock and higher than average retail prices I won't miss them. Besides we always have BBTS to pick up the exclusive figure slack. Those folks have amazing packing/shipping practices!

I did, too, but they shipped Grotusque alone. #-o

They did this same thing to me back at Christmas 2016, I had bought a Lego set from my nephew and they stuck each in padded envelopes. The box was totally flattened. The rep refused to do anything about it, I forget what the excuse was, but I ended up having to get a different set from Barnes & Noble locally. I still have the crushed one around here somewhere. There was another time when my points didn't show up after an order and I could not get the rep to understand the problem. She kept going on about shipping addresses and tracking numbers, totally deflecting the issue. Between crap service/shipping online and nothing being available in stores after a 70 mile drive I really have no use for them outside of occasional exclusives.

OK, I'm giving up on hunting for TR backstock in my area... Would you believe my local TRU still has TR Twinferno at $19.99, while the PotP Deluxe are only $16.99?! That would be the drop that flooded the bucket :evil:

I already made small start on PotP with Slash, so I added these to the lot, from Target where they're a a dollar cheaper:

Vector Prime with Metalhawk
Liege Maximo with Skullgrin

Nothing to say that has already been said, no doubles in mine unfortunately. Shame, I'd have liked a second Vector for future customizing plans

I did consider getting Dreadwind... Crap, I should get him soon, he's not slated for repacking in the next two waves :shock:

EDIT: FoC Jazz and AoE reissue of Energon Grimlock were the one's I couldn't remember.

Not bad design wise. However, he is super floppy. I've actually found that to be the case with every movie figure I've gotten this year. I'm starting a Bumblebee collection (since my kids love the character) so it's a keeper. Defiantly better than the version from AOE.
