And last Friday I finally found Brainstorm while out of town. Wasn't planed, just happened to drive by a Walgreens so I turned around and there he was! Now I just need Highbrow to complete the original Headmasters.

Haven't opened him yet, but the box is nice. Sadly, despite being wrapped in bubble wrap the box still has a big puncture hole in it.

I finally have GRAND GALVATRON!!!!!!!! No amazing deal, but I got him for $160 US and change which for a canadian is damn good since its like buying from BBTS without getting hit by customs or paying shipping



And yes, that is Beast Wars Moon which will be for a cousin of mine who has always been obsessed with that toy. Its her christmas present.

A certain guy named Cobotron. I tried a few out and I actually preferred the older ones to the more recent ones. They felt better. The more articulated and taller micromen could pose better but all that articulation made the posing hard and cumbersome, like they were constantly slithering through my hands. These older ones (pre 2000) are nice and solid feeling, and still pose well. I already had the girl and wanted one of the guys to go with her but I wanted one of the ones with a more robot like face, so this one was perfect. Plus the LED is super fun. They are fun to use with G1 toys that were microman compatible like Perceptor and Megatron. So now I have 2 to pose with those.

he's a gorgeous piece. that headsculpt is one of the best starscream heads I have ever seen. And the amount of paint everywhere (including starscream) is staggering. However, as nice as Stasrcream is, that thrust has amazing paint apps, he looks phenominal.

I know exactly what you mean about the more modern Microman figures. And that's really lease of the problems, they're ridiculously prone to breaking! The clear plastic they used is pretty brittle and the ankles shatter pretty easily. They made some great looking figures, especially some of the later stuff, but after a few broken ankles I gave up on the line.

I guess I didnt play anough to get to that problem yet. What I do find neat is that the original G1 Joe figure was inspired by one of those fully poseable wooden drawing dummies and these latest micromen, which are the a continuation of what GI Joe started, resemble that the most.

Anyways, the only ones I liked of the later stuff was the Bio machine line but more for the mecha aspect. The micromen became secondary in importance to me.

I still think the leader seekers are cheap repaints, but the price dropped to what I was willing to pay. I do have a Starscream collection to keep up, you know.

Received the TR wave 2 deluxes today. I have to say that I'm a little disappointed. High Brow's head is extremely loose, much worse than Scourge's. On top of that, the Titan Master's legs are also super loose, and flops around like crazy. I find the figure is unplayable in this state, and will have to get it replaced. Wolfwire also has a QC issue. His lower left leg pops out way too easy at the ball joint at the knee. Chromedome and Mindwipe seem okay so far, but I haven't transformed them yet. The QC issues with the TR deluxes thus far make me scared for wave 3. Either that, or I just have terrible luck with this.

I can say that I've had no such problems with Wolfwire (or for that matter, Chromedome). Think you just got unlucky

That is actually more common than one might think. At least it's just Xort that has the problem, and not Highbrow himself.

I can say that I've had no such problems with Wolfwire (or for that matter, Chromedome). Think you just got unlucky

So the good news is TRU is sending me replacements and I can keep the defective ones. I definitely have really bad luck with my TFs. In addition to these 2 figures, I've also had issues with my UW Superion, Platinum seekers and Predaking, TR scourge and skullsmasher, and CW Cyclonus and Motormaster. That's just off the top of my head.

Are my standards just too high? Do people also have these issues and just accept it for what they are and/or deal with customer service for fixes? I personally don't think my standards are too high. I realize these aren't MPs and I may get a figure with loose limbs, etc. I just hate having to deal with customer service for what seems like 10-20% of the time.

Probably going off on a tangent here, but my unlucky streak with TFs has made me gun-shy from ordering figures off of Ebay unless from a reputable retailer. And for MP-Megatron, I feel like for me personally, I'll be better off dealing with a domestic retailer in case of issues.

1) these stickers are bullshit.

2) while a lackluster Optimus and Megatron, these will make an amazing Blitzwing and Astrotrain.

I recently got Titans Return Wave 3 Voyager Megatron and Optimus Prime. I'm surprised that i much prefer Optimus Prime to the Megatron, just becausd the tank mode for Megatron is disappointing. Both are damn awesome anywaya.

I did at first and the head actually doesn't stay in place at all when I tried. Upon closer inspection, the 2 white pieces that clip onto the titan master seems too wide. I can see a gap when the tm is inserted. The overall figure seems lower quality then the others from the wave.
