Found some G1 micromasters at the thrift shop today. Always fun to find G1, nomatter how small.

There were other things at the thrift shop but I already had them.

nah. Joking actually. Truth is it's pure jealousy. I'd love to be able to walk into a shop, or a garage sale and find something like that. But I'm rural and I don't know about other places but any stuff that is dropped off at our local "Op Shops" are sent to a processing centre and all the good stuff is sent to more populated areas while the basics (like clothing) is sent back here.

Still, that's one hell of an expensive splurge.
Especially because my recent TR Trypticon ate up the last transformers I no longer cared about at my local seller. So now that I no longer have anything to trade, it will be cash only and my G1 binge just went to a screeching halt.

But you know, I can't really complain. Because now I do have all the G1 I really wanted (and more).

Same. The closest I've ever come to a Will-style find was a broken T30 Skids at a kid's consignment store. No TFs at thrift/consignment shops before or since.

US folks, does Goodwill seem to have TFs at all regularly? I know it varies by location to location, but has anyone ever found anything interesting?

I think he makes for a pretty kickass prime. That g2 redeco is one of the best toys of the year to me.

I dunno about Beast Wars. I got rid of many in my G1 hunting quest. Usually, I find then fiddly with their tiny legs barely able to hold their weight and many are shellformers surrounded by annoying panelling.

Also, space is VERY limited and now that I cleared some, I became very greedy of my spare space. I'm also now VERY picky of what I buy. When I got rid of all these figures to get G1s, I noticed how too much of them were either bought on impulse, or "just because".

Still, there's so much good coming up with Power of the Primes that it get me conflicted...

Finally found a Scorn from the last knight movie series. I was psyched! Seems some of the movie line toys are really hard to find in actual stores. Never even saw Sqweeks and finally just caved and purchased online. But I did find a Strafe last weekend so that makes two weeks in a row I've found a toughie!

Received wave 3 bee and TR Octone and Blitzwing yesterday from Amazon. Bee is ok. The feet are as floppy as the video reviews make it seem. Bot and alt mode is pretty cool though. Blitzwing is a little annoying. All 3 modes are really nice, but that leg/thigh tab is extremely difficult to get right. About 10 minutes and a few pained fingers later I finally got it. Haven't really played with Octane yet, but I have a very positive initial impression of him.

Yeah I'm loving my Octane and Blitzwing. I was toying with Blitzwing, when I found out you can take off the cannon barrel, and slip it onto the "seat"gun, and turn it into a large shoulder cannon! Or an armcannon like Megs. Pretty nice! The sword is tiny though. Laser prime's (octone mold) sword is a lot better. A very interesting mold indeed. I'll post my pics in the "sitting on my desk" thread.

Same here! Most of his parts won't stay flush together. It's pretty frustrating

Octane is really great. No QC issues, and really OWNS the mold.

A small little box of G1 goodness arrived today.

Three little Firecons. Cindersaur, Flamefeather and Sparkstalker. The designers were NOT kind with these guys, in fact, compared to their Autobot counterparts (Sparkabots) it's downright insulting!

I'll have to disassemble all three and give them a good clean, hopefully that will get their sparking features working.

Also in the box (but was in a lot with the Firecons but he (and Flamefeather) was a double) was Twin Twist.

Jumpstarter feature still works (though he's yet to land on his feet) and I have him standing on the desk in front of me with his modern day version.

Now his modern day version is a bloody good figure, but seeing them side by side you really appreciate how much effort the designers put into the little details to tribute the G1 toy.

It would be nice, though they wouldn't have the sparking gimmick, but hey, if it means the Firecons actually get SOME articulation then that's a good thing!

They did made a Cyberverse Commander version of Guzzle in the DOTM line. Saw it at Walmart. 10$CAN was "too expensive" so I skipped to wait for a sale.

I never saw it in a store ever again after that and now, it's 30$ plus shipping at the bare minimum on Ebay.


I also saw those firecons at my local geek Store. But they are way too ugly and primitive for 20$ each. But I wouldn't mind finding them in some lot like Burn did though.

I already had Flamefeather (though he's not in THAT great of condition) so I hunted through E-Bay. Nearly pulled the trigger a couple of times.

Then this little lot popped up on an Australian TF Facebook page so I jumped on it.

Keep an eye on E-Bay, thought you might have to be patient as the prices don't seem to be moving much.

I've run into this on both Megatron and Blitzwing. The good news is it seems to be temporary. After the first 1-2 times of getting the leg/thigh tab in there it became much easier. Also, I find it easier to get them tabbed by leaving the panel on the back of the legs open, so you can push on the leg from behind, then close the panels once the tabs are in. Also, I've found it easiest to tab each leg/thigh individually first, close the panels on the back of the legs, then tab the 2 legs to each other last.
