Well yesterday made 3 days in a row with a haul. In addition to replacing my Rippersnapper (not shown) that had 2 left shoulder cannons, I also found this guy. I was so excited to complete my dinobots that I forgot to take a photo before I unpackaged him.

Even better, today made 4 days in a row with a haul, but I'll save those for posting tomorrow. (Yeah, I'm a tease that way...)

My urge for the Studio figures had me hunt for bargains on current movie toys.

Deluxe Megatron and Skullitron turned up at the closing down Cambridge Toys R Us for £8.99 each (the peg label says £14.98 but all action figures there have 40% as well). They aren't figures I would have paid the regular £23 deluxe price for but at 9 quid each I thought eh why not?

Legion Dragonstorm and Megatron were £2.99 each from B&M.

Figures are alright. Quite like Skullitron. His knight armour is cool & his joints aren't as loose as I've read about. Deluxe Megatron is kinda loose and I'm not keen on it (it's a new-head re-release of a Generations G1 Megatron I didn't care for in first place). Nice colours.
Legion Class Megatron is a nice tiny version of the cool TLK Megatron design and good as a pocket figure (do wish his wings would fold away in robot mode though, it does it so well on the Voyager). Dragonstorm is cool. Totally inaccurate to film but really nice colour work too.

The figures aren't new releases, but today I took 2 steps towards completing my Rodimus collection. I recently reacquired Energon Rodimus and Masterpiece Rodimus Prime and they both arrived in the mail today. I only have a select few to pick up and I will be done. Until 2019, when the next Rod comes out. :lol:

It's mah birf day, so I went out and bought PoTP Grimlock, Slug, and Swoop. They're sitting here, combined, and wearing their Streetwise and Rook boots. These guys are perfect, I don't know why people complain about them!

So Saturday I gave in to temptation and went on a road trip to the Bangor Toys R Us that's currently closing. It's in a city I don't particularly like going to anymore since all of the stores I liked have closed long ago. I did buy a few things, but I didn't save enough to make up for the gas I spent on the hour drive each way. The only Transformer I got was Infernocus for $28, ended up being the only Transformer I got on the trip. Target there only had 3 Jazz and a Dreadwind and a couple Prime Masters for PotP. They also had a bunch of RiD Warrior class figures, still at full price, I scanned just to be sure so I guess my local Target isn't the only one that didn't clearance them after Christmas. TRU also had a bunch of RiD Warriors and Crash Combiners as well, but nothing I was looking for. Went over to the Walmart and the only Transformers they had at all was, you guessed it, RiD Warriors, 4 whole pegs full of them. And not even new ones, just the same assortment with the masked Windblade that's been around for months. #-o

So yeah, 2 hours of driving and all I had to show for it was one Transformer that still felt overpriced on clearance and a few assorted other things. I was hoping to find a PotP Rodimus Prime since I've only seen him once and wave 1 has seemingly already come and gone so it doesn't look like I'll get another shot until Wave 3.

So I completed the masterpiece that is Beast Wars, man what a series! I'm rewatching so many of my favorite episodes, and there are a lot of them.

But thanks to Beast Wars, I now have 5 old figures I plan to track down based on how much I loved them and/or their designs in the show, other than the ones coming and I have on pre-order (Dinobot, PotP Primal).

And so, thanks to an auction, I won my first of the 5, and admittedly, my favorite of the ones I want to hunt. And he also may have become my new favorite antagonist Transformer of all time:

Silverbolt is my favorite Maximal, period. Tigerhawk was the most awesome looking character. Transmetal 2 Dinobot had a totally metal and rad design. Rampage was a great character I enjoyed. All made my top 3 of each faction from beast wars, Found here!

So, my TR Octone was terribly loose and excess paint made it hard for things to tab in properly so I sent it to Hasbro and here is what I got in return.

Fair deal, I think I will turn it into action master Prime with the toy hax stickers.

Now, coincidentally, here is what I did get from Japan today:

The prices were awesome

That's $51 for Scourge and $18 for Kup (wow, I was doing that conversion and it was way cheaper when I purchased them, the yen went up in the meantime).

I really needed this deco for Kup because this is how I know him, but I will admit that the Hasbro version has more paint apps, surprisingly enough. And Hasbro's shoulders work better in alt mode. Plus, those targetmasters from Takara arent that great. But, as I said, I wanted this deco and I love the mold.

The only Autobot conehead and his little friend!

Managed to snag another Jinbu (w/ Jin) for an okay price. It's kind of funny that misassembled Jinbu includes an Arms Micron whose instructions tell you to assemble him the wrong way.

Despite my... issues... last time, turns out Jinbu's a relatively simple fix after all once you have the right tools.

Got a pretty outstanding haul. MP Inferno, Red Alert+, and TLK leader Megatron.

Inferno is such an impressive figure. What a straightforward, fun transformation. I’m pretty sure I’m going to be taking this guy out of his display case a lot. Can’t wait to pick up Grapple when I can.

Megatron was the one and only TLK figure I wanted. Just felt like I had to wait until the price dropped enough to justify getting him. Awesome figure. Worth the wait.

I went out trying to find Moonracer today and ended up with a consolation prize. $13 clearance Nitro Zeus at Walmart. Makes me feel bad for the one I already bought at full price for Thunderwing. So I guess Scorponok gets to have a body now too.

You may plan to have a weird Scorpy jet, but I'd go further. I could remove the wings for some different kibble, like the scorpion legs and claws. The nosecone could be heavily modded for the tail. The scorpion head can be where the jet thrusters are. Flip the bot over and you get a killer techno scorpion. As for the base mode, just improvise a transformation.

Ah, to have a spare Nitro body and that Scorponok head! :twisted:

I've never customized anything before, but a thought did just occur to me.
Actually, there were 3 more that I left. I'm heavily considering getting the other 3 tomorrow to have 5 total and use them as sort of like radiation suits/bodies for a group of 5 decepticons that would have to be headmasters. Sort of like an anonymous attack squad in jet mode where you can't tell who is who until they transform and you can see their heads to know your enemy. You could do a sort of All-Star lineup with Megatron, Galvatron, Thunderwing, Scorponok and Soundwave (although Galvy and Soundwave might look weird without the helmets). Or give bodies to those that have none like Thunderwing, Scopronok, Apeface, Flywheels and Crashbash. Or, only use 4 and do the current scavengers that have heads in Flywheels, Misfire, Krok and Grimlock (ignoring the

for him).

I have Nitro Zeus, and I'm honestly not that attached to it. I'm thinking about customizing the body for Chaos on Velocitron Rodimus. A red and yellow jet Roddy! Flames on the red nosecone and body, yellow thrusters and wings! :twisted:

Or maybe a minimal repainting of the chest to yellow and crotch to red, and finally Clobber can have a full body that sort of looks like Grimlock! Don't even have to mess with the arms and legs, they're already gray. Jet Grimmy. I like it. :DANCE:

And what do you do with all the extra Zeus heads?

Where are you located? If it is in the US and not to far, I could pick one up for you and ship it. Can probably be done for less than the original $30 price point. The one I snagged yesterday came out to $14 after tax, so that plus shipping is all you would need to cover.

I actually do give him his own place, sort of. I use CW Megs as my generations Megatron. So I put Nitro's head on TR Megatron as the color match is almost perfect.
