Received Studio Series Starscream. This is only my 5th movie toy ever, and first ever movie Starscream. Wow, I'm impressed with this figure. It looks really nice, and the quality of the figure is very good. I wasn't really planning on getting any other SS figures but now I think I might need to get the leaders... at least Grimlock.

You may have heard by now, but try getting HFTD leader Starscream.

This is one of the BEST Movie leader ever, right next to ROTF/Buster Optimus.



But if you don't want another Screamers getting one of the versions of Buster Optimus Prime would be a great adition to your collection. It's way more fun to handle than the MPM.

I lucked out with good timing and a sighting right here on Seibertron from today and snagged this guy. I won't get to open him until tomorrow, but he'll go nice with my 2 Nitro Zeus's (Zeusi?) for some head swapping hi-jinx tomorrow for sure.

Because he was a bonus for other stuff I bought (total of $70 USD).



Now the only 2 toys left I really want but cant find for a decent price are Prime First Edition Optimus Prime and Beast Machines Battle Unicorn.

Oh, that is nice. I never once saw Guzzle in stores and he was one DOTM Cyberverse figure I really wanted (along with Powerglide and Hatchet which I did get).

A bit less regrets on that one.
From the Dino charge collection, I only kept my "black team" and the Pleiso/gabby(?) team. I got rid of my Red team at my local geek store.

But Guzzle, I now have the G1 original and the DOTM version is even more missed.

Agreed. All of them are bad, and for what? The ability to combine? I might be able to forgive that, if Volcanicus was a good figure, that's the worst. I still need to get those 2, but strictly to complete the set. The deluxes are not that bad. Grimlock and Slash? Crap. They stay in robot mode. Forever.

And shajaki , if backseat space restricts your TF enjoyment, maybe it's time to get a Caddy. Or better yet, a Lincoln Continental.

That’s a really impressive haul, Shajaki. I’m still on the fence about ordering any of these, but I’m sorely tempted by that Bee, Nemesis, and Bonecrusher.

With Hasbro’s and Takara’s new stance on unifying the brand across both companies, I’m still not sure why they didn’t opt to merge the Movie Best and Studio Series toy lines. It’d be nice to get these figures, without having to import them. I’m sure there must be a complicated rational for that though.

The Movie the Best line may be the last line that is completely exclusive. Still, I'm pretty sure there will still be single toys that are exclusive-something-or-other here and there.

The Movie the Best line started over a year ago now so they probably started planning the line out before Studio Series was even an idea and just let it keep going while Hasbro took the lead on SS.

I finally got Blackwing (and Moonracer with him as well) and I was able to complete my Galvatronus!
He is a really cool figure, and I like the way they retooled him and Dreadwind from the Aerialbots. It's really hard to say that they start from the same figure.
The only bad note I'd say about him is the prime armor/combiner hand.
With it being cast all in blue plastic, it stands out too much compared to the other hand that came with Dreadwind, and they don't look good together on the combiner.
So, for the moment, I decided to use my CW Bruticus HFG on him (afterall, I have the UW version as titolar Bruticus, and my CW Bruticus is right now incomplete, waiting for the soon to be released PotP BlastOff)

About Moonracer, it's probably the best fembot-looking figure we got as combiner limb so far (the ones for Victorion/Megatronia didn't look too feminine) and her back kibble problem really disappears if you rotate it down and use it as trench coat, a detail that also fits really good with her sharp shooter bio.
I believe that with her they teased us the general look for the next line, that will rotate more around cybertronian alt modes.

I love them all but Starscream is a fantastic voyager figure.

I finally got close to a Fivebelow (i live like 1000mi away) the other day and they still had Ramhorn in both colors! I found Blackwing last Saterday and Hun-gurrr at Walmart in the wrong place for $9.84. Over all it's been a pritty good week.

Neat, that's the first time I've seen the two Ramhorns together. The local Five Below first got wave 4 and then restocked with wave 5, but all of the Ramhorns were gone. Good thing I already got my Ramhorn from THS, but would like to have both colors someday.

My nearest car boot sale has started again as of this morning so I cycled the 6 miles or so there.. but it had been raining a bit so weren't a lot of sellers and I almost went home empty handed. But then I found this G1 Metroplex for £10 I figured I should pick up to make the trip worth while. Except after buying it I realised it didn't fit into my backpack and I had to carry it and while walking my bicycle all the way home again. Ah well, done now.

Anyways it's quite a good piece for the price. Missing a few parts of Six-gun and Metro's left shoulder antenna but Slammer and Scamper are both complete and this is the chromed thigh version of Metro with the rubber tires and yet thankfully not broken at the waist. Also there were some bits of unbroken G1 Jetfire armour in there too.

Stupid tatty box. Wasn't til I got home and got Metro out of there that I realised HE WOULD HAVE FIT IN MY BACKPACK JUST FINE! It was the damn box and it's polystyrene insides that added all the extra mass that made my trip home take over 90 minutes of walking home instead of a 25 min bike ride. Ugh I need to nap cos I got a rehearsal later on so will be on my feet all that time too and I still haven't had a good night's sleep in weeks. :O
But yeah this Metroplex appears to be a nice example, He's very brightly white too for 30+ year old TF toy.

There's some nostalgia for me cos I had Metroplex when I was a kid (though I had the later one with silvery stickers on the thighs instead of chrome and the plastic tires instead of rubber) but I'm probably going to auction off on eBay at some point soon (probably starting at the price I paid for it cos that's pretty low anyways) so it can go to a proper collector's home. My G1 days are long since passed. Will likely also be selling off Omegatron (the Grandstand UK version of Omega Supreme) that I got last year and also my original 1988 Powermaster Optimus Prime as I've had that for 30 years and I feel like it's time to move on. Plus I'm poor and really want more Studio figures cos that's my TF focus.

Whoops. Guns missing here but I'm pretty sure that part is easy to salvage from a bajillion broken junker Metroplexes out there.
