I dunno about over your way, but from what I've seen on E-Bay AU and AU Facebook groups, even junker Metroplexes aren't cheap.

They appear often enough at the car boot sales and some been brought into my local charity shop at times and usually get thrown out. I knew i shoulda grabbed that top half of Metro missing his arms and both head antenna i saw in the charity shop sorting pile last year.
Burn wrote:I wish there were car boot sales and charity shops like yours around my way. Seriously, car boot sales are basically non-existent, garage sales are normally a bust, and charity shops? HA! All the good quality stuff is shipped to the larger stores in bigger areas.
Some day though ... some day I'll stumble onto the garage sale that has me leaving my girlfriend as collateral while I race to the bank.

What's THS?
Hotconvoy wrote:Nice find man. And Burn you think that's bad? Well here in the US the thrift chain Goodwill has started shipping anything they think is worth a buck to larger stores to be sold on there website shopgoodwill.com. I use to see at least some Tfs there, but i think th last one i found there was over a year ago

This damn HLJ box took up 3/4 of my back seat!
I guess when you spend X amount of dollars, you get a creepy happy pink folder thingy![]()
Time to open up this beast!
So what's actually in there? Well, all these fellas![]()
What do plan to open? Pretty much just these guys![]()
Black Hat wrote:Oh man, not a bad haul at all! I'm especially jealous of Stinger, Skystalker and Skyhammer. I'm a little surprised to see a loose Nendo there, did it come complete?
Emerje wrote:First Gaiking, now Raideen, I didn't realize you were such a big fan of the classic super robots. What's next, Grandizer or Getter Robo (I assume you already have a Mazinger of some sort)?
Also a Bakudora, the best of the deluxe oni. Ripclaw was nice too, and we should have gotten a Ser-Ket, but this guy's got style.

Emerje wrote:Yeah, Goodwill is crap. It's pretty well known that anything that might actually be worth anything short of furniture goes to either the website or eBay. They use to just sell everything that comes through their doors for dirt cheap, but now they check the prices online to see if they're worth anything. Never find anything there, broken or otherwise, at best I find the non-transforming McDonalds toys.

But getting another Con jet just reminds me of Hasbro's screwup in not giving us deluxe Skywarp and Thundercracker in either PotP or TR to go with Starscream's torso mode. Starscream, Skywarp, Thundercracker, Dreadwind and Blackwing would have been a perfect opposite to CW Superion, even if the combiner didn't have an origin in fiction.

Goodwill did get the platinum blaster and perceptor set (which Canada never got) for a ridiculous price:
And yes, some did go to e-bay but I fail to see how its a bad thing. The first thing fans did when they saw the sighting was complain that their goodwill didnt have it. So thanks to goodwill putting it on e-bay every american could get this $100 set for only $45. Thats a better discount from a thrift store than I ever got in all my time collecting.

I still haven't seen Blackwing, or any wave 2 deluxe or Prime Master, so you are not late at all
