That was kind of the extreme, but I regularly cross state lines and my normal range is 3+ hour drives. In fact I'll be traveling over 3 hours to Alabama today. Another 3 state trip (including my home state).
I waste more time hunting then I'd like to admit.
Ha I get it. I just went on a trip in PA where the are a bunch of stores known to stock TFs. I hit up 2 Targets, 3 Walmarts, and an Ollies. Didn't see much unfortunately but had to be done.
I drive my wife insane with all my "hunting stops" whenever we travel.

Work travel definitely has its privileges when it comes to this hobby. I've done the 10+ stores in 3 states trips before. In fact, a reasonable part of my collection comes from out of state with a few even coming from out of country.
The only time I saw CW Devastator was when I was out of state on a trip. Southwest with no bag fees, so I bought a clearance roller bag just to get him and his packaging home safely. In hindsight, I'm really glad I did since I never did see him around my home.

I make the run between Omaha and Kansas City often. I have every Target, Walmart, TJ Maxx, and Ross between here and there memorized.
But there are rarely stops made if the wife is in the car.

I nabbed Trypticon just recently from an Ollie's while out of town for work on a Monday. It about killed me to not open it until I got home Friday.

Yeah, I never hunt with my wife. She slows me down and is way too nice to kids that are in my way.
Joking aside, I am a lone wolf on the hunt. I do most of my hunting on my lunch break since being in a metropolitan area, I can get to lots of places during the week in a 1 hour window. And Walmart and Babies R Us is a go to place weekly for my wife so I tag along and go check the toys out real quick.
And since Canada is rather small, most walamrts adn TRUs are rather similar from one to the next so what one has in their neck of the woods would be similar to what you find elsewhere. Plus we have only 10 provinces (and 3 territories) dividing the 2nd largest country in the world, so crossing "state" line is far from common.

I wish I had a haul to post but I have yet to see Optimal Optimus in stores and the G1 reissues are a big too expensive for my taste. Plus, my POTP Throne is from japan so it will have to wait til next year.
This thread will be dead for a whil as we wait for the next gen toyline and the bumblebee movie toys. Espcially since Cyberverse is clearly not geared in any way towards older kids.

Allow me, catching up from the weekend I got Throne Primal and Cogman. Love them both. I'm giving Cogman's body to Shuffler, he just looks badass to me.

Sort of a haul, I got my Toyhax stickers today for Doubledealer and Grotusque. They cleaned up incredibly well. I love these 2, and I think Grotusque if my favorite G1 toy. But all my G1 toys are pretty fun, and I get ones that interest me, so it's a hard contest.

Re: Transformers Toy haul thread
Ok, so technically I got 3 figures today but since Studio Series Optimus is a duplicate that I’m not opening for the time being and MMC Dicamus is third party, I’m only loading pictures up of Studio Series Ironhide (unless people want to see Dicamus here too, I don’t visit the third party haul thread much). Anyway, Ironhide is absolutely fantastic. I’ve never messed with the leader DotM toy but compared to the rest of the Ironhide figures I’ve handled this guy blows them all away. The transformation makes him feel like he’s a RotF-era figure, his details are fantastic and his articulation is way better than I expected. There are a bunch of swivels in his shoulder area that let him move them quite a bit, so anyone who was worried about that can rest easy. He’s definitely mistransformed in the box, and like Ratchet he’s got a few unmentioned pegs and slots so he holds together beautifully. I think I’ve still got my DotM voyager somewhere but this is a total upgrade next to that hot mess. Highly recommend him. I’ll also get some shots of him next to the other Autobots once I find them, I’m still getting set up from a move and I’m pretty sure they’re at the bottom of a huge box somewhere. I should also get Lockdown from BBTS on Thursday and that should complete the Studio Series lineup that’s currently available outside of SDCC gold Bee.

Congrats Roadburn! You will let us know what you think of Ironhide in the studio Series thread because I am extremely apprehensive of him. And those pics dont help because all I see straight away is that giant bumper right there front and center splitting him in half.

Re: Transformers Toy haul thread
Got my hands on POTP Inferno. I was really debating getting this figure or not. I think what finally convinced me was when I got the Amazon exclusive Blastoff. I was deciding what to do with the original Blastoff, which got me playing with some loose CW figures. I forgot how much fun that was, so figured, can't hurt getting another figure that can combine. I'm a fan of the mold too, so it works out. Plus I hate OP as a torso, so I'll probably replace him with Inferno.

Checked out a Fantasy Comics & Games store in O'Fallon, IL this evening. They had a pretty good selection of TFs including Elita and Moonracer, plus a few Combiner Wars figures I'd missed the first time around like Motormaster and Silverbolt. They had two rare finds in particular: Generations Roadbuster(which I already had) and Generations Doubledealer! MINE.

Roadbuster is a rare find? He's currently $20 on Amazon, he was as low as $15 as recently as July.
