Doesn't look right without pegs full of RID shelf warmers like every Walmart I've been to recently. And yet we can't have the reissues. :roll:

I've never seen Studio Series in an actual store like that. Only shop I've seen them in at all here in UK is Forbidden Planet which be a comic shop/merchandise shop. I was in two shops earlier that sold Transformers (Tescos and the Cycle Shop i forget the proper name of) and even then it was just a very small selection of nothing but Cyberverse stuff mostly the half-transforming scout junk.

very cool. It's a fun figure and I've had mine well over a year and customised it with paint, toyhax stickers and dr wu weapon upgrades and when i get the oversized improved KO of studio grimlock, Prime will be sat on top of him when in dino mode.

I kind of went on a Transformers binge over the last month. I made some money on eBay and found some older figures that I've re-added to my proper collection. I may have mentioned some of these before, but they're no properly in my possession. I've since added (or re-added) the following figures:

Beast Wars Neo: Guiledart and Stampy.

G1: Chase, Crosshairs, Flattop, Goldbug, Iguanus, Landfill, Quickmix, Sureshot. They've all got all their accessories.

G2: Road Pig. Had to fix a snapped leg with some glue, but otherwise still perfectly displayable.

Generations/Legends/Power of the Primes: Deadlock (e-Hobby), Drift, Rodimus Unicronus, and another Gnaw. I now have a small school of Sharkticons, with my G1 Gnaw being the "alpha."

Henkei! Henkei!: Dinobot. I've had this figure sitting in storage for years and am just now appreciated how cool it is. It's going in the display shelf, for sure.

Live action movies: Transformers (2007) Scorponok and DotM Laserbeak. I really dig Laserbeak, for some reason.

Robot Masters: Reverse Convoy.

Robots in Disguise (2003): Dark Scream.

3rd party/replacement parts: Reproductions tail shield and gun mace for Victory Deszaras; replacement tail sword for G1 Skullcruncher; reprolabel sheet so I can give the proper Masterforce treatment to my Korean KO Minerva; replacement after-market head for my Encore Ratchet; and some custom accessories.

I found the deluxe Hot Rod from TLK at my local Ollies here in Muncie Indiana! I'm so excited! They had lots but because I don't have a cell phone, didn't get pics in store!

Yeah, well, you still have to drive there and pay entrance fee

But this was a nice haul. I also ordered a Generations Springer, but the guy from the store forgot to bring it so it will be shipped for free.

I saw and held a leader POTP rodimus, but it felt cheap, light and the whole mold is just bad imo. Saw one in a beat up box for €35,- but passed. Got Prime for €50 instead.

Prime will feel as cheap in hand once you unpack it. Hope you wont be disapointed. It's still an amazing toy though, despite the iffy cab mode.

I actually did hold him at the Hasbro booth as well, but somehow he felt better to me. Good joints/ratchets, whereas Rodimus had slumpy shoulders at a weird angle, and hollow legs/arms.
His robot mode just looks off somehow. I'll stick with mt TR Hot Rod, and the Rodimus titanmaster from the Velocitron set.
Prime's backpack kinda looks like a jetpack too. But yeah the truck mode is a bit weird.

Updated my wanted list! Huzzah!

To keep this post official related, the Falcon is a brilliant thing, and it's so big and chunky and I love it to bits. Great set for those who are on the fence about it.

See, I loved the idea of Volcanicus, but the toy was just lacking that oomph it needed to be the best. I rarely buy upgrades or anything 3P (this is time #5 total, 2 kits, 2 weapons, 1 figure, and the last for a while again), but this was an exception needed, much like the Bruticus black version I used for FOC Ruination (makes that figure good).

I chose TDW because the PE didn't do it for me with the lack of leg armor and the fact that it looked like you got parts to replace Grimlock parts, and I prefer to add, not replace. That an TDW seemed a better price for the kit, and I got some extras as a preorder bonus.

He is quite bulky and good now, and dual swords is a grand thing, as are individual Dinobot weapons. But I'm not a huge fan of the way the shoulders work for Grim in Volcanicus mode, it's a bit wonky, and I had to shave down the hand and foot pegs since they were a smidge too big to start. ugh.
