These two arrived today from HLJ, totally worth the wait! They actually scale fairly well too, and Optimus especially is a fantastic deal for a Takara leader figure with chrome (got him for a little over $50). Bee is a little frustrating to transform but his robot mode is fantastic. A good amount of die-cast, good accessories, finally a nice looking battle mask. Love it. I think I actually like Optimus a little better though, Evasion Prime is my favorite movieverse Optimus mold in general, and all the extra staps and parts they added make this one look even better, especially the chrome and shoulder pads. The transforming gun is pretty neat too. I’d recommend picking up both of these, especially Optimus. I think he’s the first leader Prime I’ve bought and kept since Revenge of the Fallen (not counting PotP Nemesis).

So just an FYI I paid about $25 less and am supposed to get both tomorrow from Amazon JP via DHL. However the shipping from Amz JP varies a bit, but at least you know in advance how much. I've never pre-ordered from HLJ cuz I wasn't sure how much shipping was and was afraid to get stuck with a big bill.

Sorry for the late response--I don't get to come here too often.

I like your suggestion, but I think I'm pretty good on Sweeps and Cyclonus's armada for now. Indeed, the same haul saw me getting a Junk Heap to build my Junkions. Now if Amazon would ever get me my Legends Sharkton, I could have a nice little collection of Sharkticons, too . . .

Got MPM-7 and Legendary Prime via Amz JP. One of the boxes was a bit beat up but luckily the internal packaging was done securely. Probably open them this weekend.

Got Legendary Prime, not sure what i make of him yet. There are lots of new complexities but i dont think they add anything.

I personally found the fully exposed (and articulated!) hands and bigger shoulder pads went a long way towards him being better.

Picked up an Authentics Grimlock at Big Lots for only $10 (the smaller Authentics are $5, better than Walgreens). It's nothing amazing, but for what it is it's a fun figure to play around with and the transformation is pretty smart for a simplified figure.

I’ve got a very nice haul being shipped from BBTS, which I’m really looking forward to. In the meantime...

I know they aren’t toys, but I did pick up the two player box of Transformers CCG. I was excited to see them on a hanging display in Target, so I figured “why not?” No idea how I’m going to store the oversized cards. I almost grabbed some booster packs, but they look like they’re just the big cards?

Nope, he is gorgeous by himself, definitely worth the remold and re-release. I love this guy, definitely my definitive Soundwave figure!

Monday's arrival direct from Japan. The box is rather stunning in hand.

And today my Furai Model Optimus Prime finally came in from Amazon. I had him pre-ordered, but they still managed to run out. On the bright side the price had come down to $35 after tax so I got a good deal at least.
