Awesome! That’s good to hear. I keep forgetting that I preordered Throne Primal, so I’ll be getting that in Dec/Jan. I still want Optimal Optimus, because as you said, the colors do look great.

Congrats on the Depth Charge. I picked one of him up a couple months ago. He is a big toy. Mine isn’t complete, but his joints and paint are in great condition. I just need to pick up his tail and missiles at some point.

Got SS Brawl for my friend's B-Day.
So that's something I guess.

I changed my mind and I'm keeping SS Brawl.
I'll be giving my friend something better. So I went to my local geek store and traded in my TR Fortmax for 95$ in store credits. Add 15$ more and I got this lot:



Universe Onslaught for my friend (I'll be keeping mine so that's why I bought this one) G1 Flywheel (WoC Skythread can't cone soon enough!), Beast Machines Longhorn (he's neat and adorable) and finally, Energon Battle Ravage (Simple, but fun). All in perfect condition and 100% complete of course. Note that the store credit plus cash also covered the sales taxes. No great deal here, but at least I have them NOW instead of waiting for multiple shipments.

Hope my friend will love his gift tomorrow.
Also, no regrets getting rid of TR Fortmax. I already have Encore 23 and Gen Metroplex. The TR version was taking just too much space. Plus For the price I paid, it's as if I rented it for 20$. Not too shabby.

Z3ROhour - Very nice haul you have there. Congrats. Blackout is still far and away my favorite thing to come out of the SS line, and there’s some pretty stiff competition to be had there. I’ve passed on the Dark Energon Prime toys every time they’ve gone on sale, because I felt like the only great looking one was Wheeljack. That mold is always going to be top notch. I’m a sucker for clear plastic. And he does look good in blue. He’s the only one I want, but I haven’t picked him up because I can’t justify a place to fit him in. But that doesn’t take away from how flat out awesome that variant of him looks!

Oh yes, he have a few more. Ranging from 15$CAN to 20$CAN plus taxes. Not too shabby considering we have to pay that on Ebay PLUS shipping.


He also have Beast Wars Transmutate for 25$CAN is you wanna. COMPLETE. Comparing to Ebay, I think you should run. If you don't have the adress, I can PM you.

That’s quite the discovery! Both Depth Charge and Rampage go for a fair amount on eBay, whether they’re loose or MISB. You could make a decent chunk of change off of those if you wanted to sell them. Personally I’m waiting to find a Rampage for a price I can justify.

I just got Zauru & Uriad (aka Legout) from that Bumblebee Vol. 2 Retro Pop Highway set, and I just noticed... Hasbro used a KO mold to make it with. If you know the differences, you'll see what I mean, so I'd rather not explain how I know, other than Legout's arms and face are obviously the one's that the KO has.

Anyway, I just found it interesting.

It's because they are popular characters, and they have goo toys. But mostly, blame all the detachable bits and pieces that were lost. So MANY uncomplete DC and RP...
BTW, got the Universe version of DC and Missing a single disk of course. I can see why people love it so much!

If you know the differences, you'll see what I mean, so I'd rather not explain how I know, other than Legout's arms and face are obviously the one's that the KO has.

Anyway, I just found it interesting.

Hasbro said they're actually 100% new molds based on the originals since those were unavailable. They do look like KOs, but they're simply poor approximations of the originals. The KOs look exactly like the real thing.

I found a vintage toy store while in Houston yesterday and I may have gone a tad nuts. I already had the e-Hobby Galvatron and the G1 Scourge and Cyclonus . . . but I figured, "why not do a little army building?" So now I have Titanium Scourge, Generations Scourge, Titan Returns Scourge, and Universe 2.0 Cyclonus.

To be exact, the new molds are based on the original wooden 2-UP masters. I don't see why Hasbro or TakaraTomy would take a KO of all things... you know, legal issues?

I could be wrong. However, I just found this old image, which leads me to believe Hasbro could've fibbed (maybe a little). For example, look at the shoulders and facial structure on the KO. It seems to be nearly the same as our new official one. Perhaps my optics have been ripped out and I can't see squat. Idk. What do you think?

Wooden masters? Wow, that's pretty neat, actually.

As for legal issues... It wouldn't be the first time Hasbro has licensed something that they didn't exactly design. For example...

I can't imagine a KO company like Zhong Jin (you know, those wacky dudes that "reissued" the G1 Dinobots, Minibots, Mini-Cassettes, Metrotitan, Springer, Red / Clear Mirage, Scorponok, Cyclonus, etc. etc. etc.), or a 3rd party company like MakeToys (makers of Not-Devastator Giant Type-61) having much of a case in court, if they attempted to sue Hasbro for design theft. I could be wrong...

Weekend hauls for me and my youngest.

For me, PotP is now complete with Wreck-Gar. The Junkions have reached the Chicago area as well.

For my youngest, I have to give a huge shout out to Jelze for mentioining TLK 1-steps at 5 Below. Sierra says thank you too! We found Prime and Megs, and she loves both of them. And because she is a fan of everything police and ambulance, I gladly paid Walgreens full price for RID 1-step Ratchet when I found my Wreck-Gar, because, well I spoil her.
Ratchet became her new favorite out of her growing collection, barely edging out Underbite.
