Finally, I got my hands on both Shockwave and Ultra Magnus from Siege. The Walmart I work at had 1 of each, and they were in the stock room. So of course they never made it to the sales floor.

Argh! That's awesome! I used to to the same thing when I worked there.

Why the hell is T30 Gears so expensive?!

Because of us. I saw that dude so many times on shelves, wish I'd stock piled them. Siege being a G1 orgy has got my spidey sense tingling that we'll see a more accurate Gears before this trilogy is over. well something is tingling

Three beauties that came in throughout the course of this past week.
Really digging these Siege Leaders!
The one in the middle is Diaclone Battle Buffalo.
Need to carve out a serious block of time to dig in to B.Buff. So many modes!

I will "love" them each in my own way.

I think Siege Shockwave by himself is an amazing figure, too bad they couldn't design him so that he wouldn't need all the extra crap for the alt mode. I don't like how the shoulder pads look that way so I had them pegged on sideways instead. With the 2 extra cannon arms he looks like a victim of one of his own twisted experiments.

This guy arrived today (Finally. Protip: If you buy from eBay seller atencios, expect shipping delays/ Took him nine days to ship Dinobot, eight days to ship Primal). He came with a tail half... but unfortunately, it's the right-hand one, which the tail I got already has. Anyone have a spare left-hand tail half and fancy a trade?

At least a half dozen times now, at various stores, I've picked Shockwave up, talked myself into getting him, walked 3 or 4 aisles away, talked myself out of it, and put him back.

I want this figure a lot, but I know I'll be able to find him for much cheaper later on. I have with all recent leader figures, as they just don't sell well in my area, and Amazon or HTS always have them for the cheap after some time. I want it, but I just can't justify paying 50 bones for him...

I don't blame you. The figure itself is amazing, but not worth 50 bucks. Do I regret buying him? No, I don't. I get why he cost as much as he did, and it's not like the extra parts are useless. But I would have preferred a voyager figure by itself at the voyager price.

Magnus, on the other hand, was worth 50 to me. He's sharp, solid and pretty hefty. I just wish he was a bit more posable. I don't care for the truck mode much, but both robot modes are pretty sweet.

I personally think a "spaceship" Megatron would have been ideal considering, but oh well.

Yeah, I would have preferred a leader class Megatron as well. It's been a long time since we got a decent leader Megatron outside of TLK. Hell, I can't even remember a good leader Megatron. The CW figure is a POS.

Could explain why he's smaller than a Voyager but bigger than a Deluxe like Orion Pax, Hot Rod, and Primal.

Shockwave does need a retool. I've been saying this for a long time, but knowing now how Shockwave's altmode looks without the armor I think they could very easily turn him into Super Megatron as an SDCC or Amazon exclusive. I really want that.

As for actually buying Shocky or Magnus, I've seen them at Walmart, but I haven't paid full price for a Leader in a long time and I don't intend to start now. They'll be on sale at Target or Amazon and maybe Rollback at Walmart eventually.

He's a decent figure. I got mine mainly to complete my Maximus family.
