D-Max - They really, really are. PCC has swiftly become one of my favorite lines. It’s so awesome and fun to simply slap together a Combiner. Very satisfying. I’m just waiting for Grimstone to arrive (Friday or Saturday) and then I’ll have the whole line! I even snagged the exclusive microns from BBTS while their prices are slashed.

Kanrabat - ha. Already took the plunge on those. JetMaster is on its way. It’s the first United EX one I’ve bought. I found it on EBay for a very reasonable price, but most of the others are pricey. I’ve never looked at Mandarake before, but the prices here are superb by comparison!! Thank you! Do you know if the shipping rate is fair, because if so, I am absolutely buying the rest from here. The decos on Race, Build, and LoadMaster are gorgeous.

Shipping is usually very fair. It work from stores to stores independently. SAHRA is the only store that will give a shipping estimate up front when you're checking out. All the other stores will give the shipping rate when they bill you. So just put some similar sized stuff in a SAHRA cart to have an idea, then empty it.

I use SAL registered for "cheap" stuff when I'm not in a hurry. But for big expensive stuff, EMS is the way to go. So far, I spent thousands at Mandarake and I just had a problem once. A pretty good track record. Plus their stuff is completely invisible to Canadian custom for some reasons.

Oh, and speaking of prices, everything is "package damage" just to avoid the MISB hipsters. But when the box is REALLY damaged, there's big savings to be made. On a funny note, American goods are very expensive because they had to import them.

At least, E.B Games have a peg-full of Siege Ratchets so I took one. A bit bummed to have to pay full 34.50$CAN, but at least I had the chance to grab this exclusive.

Just got myself Cyberverse Warrior Class Bumblebee (Sting Shot)

He even has a neat gimmick that allows him to be similar to the Super Gobot "Bug Bite" Just lift his chest over his head in robot mode and you'll know what i mean.

I've been really busy lately, almost forgot to mention that I bot my Refraktor set Friday. It is funny how big the box looks in the photos. Part of me wishes they did the box up completely to look like a "real" Refraktor camera box and all the actual Transformers stuff in black light ink.

I was surprised by how small it was too. here it is to scale with my other recent aquisitions.

Today I got Titans Return Blitzwing and Power of the Primes Rodimus Unicronus. Other than the weird shoulder articulation, Rodimus is a really nice design.

Got Siege Megatron and Combiner Wars Ultra Magnus today. I really like that Ultra Magnus, nice figure.

CW Magnus is still one of my favorites. I had no need to get the Siege one because CW is so good.

I prefer SIEGE Magnus, myself. I like his armor mode look better than CW Ultra Magnus', and the fact that he has a Voyager-height inner robot (as opposed to a non-transforming Deluxe-size cab) is also very appealing to me. CW Mags looks more G1 in altmode, true, but said altmode is irrevocably undersized (it's no bigger than the G1 toy and thus can only carry 2 Deluxe cars) thanks to the integrated Deluxe-size cab. Whereas SIEGE Mags has a Voyager-size cab robot that could potentially hook to a larger trailer.

Plus you'll have no way of knowing if the parts are the original vintages, the reissues, or the KOs.

Not everyone's picky enough to get fussed about that.


Picked up SIEGE Springer on Saturday. He was one of the "Shut up and take my money!" figures for this line, so I'm happy to have him. He's pretty great - if he had a transforming rotor sword he'd be perfect (and of course the idiots at Shockwave's Lab decided to make gratuitous miniguns instead for their "upgrade" kit )


Comparison with Thrilling 30 Springer. I think SIEGE Springer is much better looking - and I find him actually enjoyable to transform. In fact, I'd happily put T30 Springer up for trade...


...as soon as I'm no longer needing to occasionally lend SIEGE Springer his sword.

The point of hunting parts like this is ONLY to have the whole original.
G1 Devastator have been reissued and KO'd to hell and back. So if someone is REALLY "not picky" (and sane), he'd just buy a reissue or a KO box set for a reasonable price and be done with it. Other wise, it's just masochism and a fruitless waste of money.

I hunted for a cheap 500y Kagamine Rin figurine at Mandarake. To make shipping worthwhile, I bought a little tag-allong:
TF Prime Arms Micron AM-17 Swerve! At 4000y, this was the best price I'll ever get. So many years late to enjoy the Prime Voyager Breakdown mold!

Sometimes you end up with part of a figure or set when buying a lot or whatever, and you want the rest to go with it. But of course, you don't want to buy a complete one because then you end up with awkward leftovers.

For something that have 2 or 3 parts, it's feasible. But G1 Devastator is a bloody LEGO set. It's one insane hunt. As a "why not" "bonus stage", heh, go nut. But if one REALLY want a complete figure? Better avoid the pain.

No official hauls for me in September yet because Thursday is my birthday, so anything that arrived this month so far is patiently waiting in the closet to be wrapped. Man, Thursday's haul will be glorious.

In the meantime, my youngest and I finished off hunting down and completing the wave 3 botbots, and wave 3 was really outstanding. I think Nampy (the crib) is my favorite, just because he kind of lays his head down on his arms like he is going to sleep when you transform him into the crib. Oh, and Sippy Pup is all kinds of adorable too.
