It was my B-Day some days ago. Thanks to the combined gift cards from my not-so-rich family, I was able to finally get myself Siege Jetfire! And man, he's glorious! With him in hand, I don't feel the need to get any 3p options.
From Ebay, G1 Brainstorm finally arrived. He's loose everywhere (except the usual INSANE hip ratchets) and the labels are worn, but at least he's 100% complete and I got a great deal at 65$US! …That is, until the super expensive shipping, taxes, and exchange rate kicked in, making the deal totally pointless compared of simply buying him locally. Oh well, at least I finally have him.

Brainstorm pretty much conclude my G1 VS TR headmasters collection!

That big-ass Jetfire really impressed me. Well worth the money. Now to wait for the upcoming Cyberverse "voyager" Jetfire. Man, so much Jetfire love lately!

Just keep an eye on those arms. Mine had one simply fall off. Should be a pretty easy fix, just have to find the time to do it.
It works on his arm being screwed together from inside the upper torso and the thread has just stripped.

Jetfire's plastics are the soft kind so at first, I was disappointed by how "cheap" such an expensive figure felt. Then when I transformed him (without instructions), I was REALLY thankful for that soft plastics because many times things would have snapped off due to some incompetent ham-handling. I'll keep my receipt close at hand though. If within 3 months he go on sale, Toys R Us's Club R guarantee will refund me the difference.
I'll keep an eye out for G1 Brainstorm. The arms seem okay but the face-plate of the headmaster is loose and I can't tighten the screw because the head-flap is in the way. Plus the wing tabs are (as usual) worn out so he have droopy wings. I won't dare risking a drop of glue. But maybe I'll at least refresh his stickers via Reprolabels.

This might not look like much of a haul, but this toy comes with a story. A few days ago, I was just browsing some stuff on eBay. I almost bought Animated Blurr, but on a whim I got Arcee instead. And then I got an email from someone I hadn't talked to in about a decade, Charles Emanuele. Back in the day, I wrote a few TF reviews for 411mania and InsidePulse, and he was a fellow reviewer. And it was his Arcee I had bought randomly. And then he asked me if I'd heard about what happened to Chris Hyatte, who'd been instrumental in getting toy reviews started on a wrestling news site at a time when TF reviews weren't all over the place. Maybe BWTF and a couple others, and nobody was doing video reviews. I didn't even wait to get a reply, I googled Chris Hyatte and turns out he's got kidney failure, congestive heart failure, and a complications from a partially amputated foot due to diabetes, and is in need of some funds while he fights for disability. So I ended up contributing a hundo to his GoFundMe all because I randomly bought an Animated Arcee. This is the Arcee of Fate.

I was finally able to pick up my latest Amazon Japan order Friday after a lot of nonsense from DHL and USPS turning 3 day shipping into two weeks. Finally get to share it.
MPM-6 Ironhide for the low price of $57 shipped, they're like $110 still at BBTS and TFSource (though I think one of them had them on sale for $65 recently) and $85 on US Amazon. Super happy with the price, I just couldn't see myself buy one at full price, but this made it easy.
Also picked up a $13 Siege Red Alert from Amazon.

Megs is a really nice figure. I enjoyed his transformation. Still haven’t messed with the other 2 yet.

Kanra - awesome figures. My Jetfire also just came. I also have to say that as a big fan of Headmasters, I’m exceedingly jealous of you Headmasters shelf. Very, very cool.
Plutoniumboss - Animated Arcee is a great, and fun figure, like almost every figure in the Animated toy line. It’s extra great when we get to attach something memorable or sentimental to a particular figure, that goes beyond simple nostalgia. Just watch out for her thumbs. They stress and break easily.
Emerje - awesome deal on MPM Ironhide. I think I paid about the same from a sale on AmiAmi last month. I love the weight of Ironhide, and the sculpting and detail on him is gorgeous, but he’s definitely not a full price MP. There’s a lot of room for improvement on his figure, but what irks me is that I think most of it could have been caught and addressed very early on in his design. I still haven’t been able to fully transform mine, because of his hood and bumper section...
I’d have still paid full price for Siege Red Alert, because I think that mold is the bee’s knees, but I also got him for dirt cheap. It just makes him all the better.
STngAR - Repugnus and Grotusue are such great toys. I’m glad you picked them up. Even though all three monsterbots are based on the same mold, they each manage to do something different. Grotusue is the best of the three in my opinion.

Me and my friend went toy hunting at a flea market. The kind of flea market that is more a giant antique shop than anything. Still, great deals and nice treasures can be found.
So here's what my friend got for around 50$CAN total:

A sealed Generations Drift, a Super Gobots Stacks in great condition (no stacks), Gobots Water Walks, some old KO Constructicons in wacky colors, a G1 Wheeljack in great condition (no accessories), and HFTD CRANKSTART in perfect condition. Quite a haul.
However, I found the better deal.

Got two "arcades" at 5$CAN each, Packman and Space Invaders. They can still be found in store at 25$CAN each. Then there's a mysterious transforming robot from Select, year 1984. Arms are missing but I'll "repair" him. Can't find any pictures online nor can I identify him. He's quite awesome despite the missing arms for 2$CAN.
But the real deal was to find an almost perfect condition, 100% complete with both guns, G1 Punch-Counterpunch for 40$CAN!
That's nuts!
My local TrU and Walmart may have nothing, but there's still awesome hunting grounds around!

I got the ID covered: that's Super Defender D.A. Tona. He's designed after Galvion, one of the characters from the anime Road Fighter Galvion, but legal shenanigans following loosely affiliated company Takatoku Toys's bankruptcy lead to this release.
Convertors Super Defenders on Super Toy Archive.
I say loosely, because Select is tied to Mark, the original creator of the toy and maker of budget toys of Takatoku's licenses including Dorvack (Deluxe Autobots), Macross (Jetfire) and Beetras (Deluxe Insecticons). Takatoku was indeed absorbed by Bandai, but Mark went its own way via Select and the Convertors line, until its assets were bought by Jam, one of the big 3 of budget toys. Jam re-released some of them (multiple times); D.A. Tona was released as Super Machine Super A:
Super Machine by Jam (with a footnote of Mark's release) on Triebflügel

Amazon was working overtime for me this week. Sunday they dropped off my Siege Off Road Patrol and Monday, despite tracking saying they'd arrive Tuesday, I found Siege Soundwave and Thundercracker sitting at my front door. I knew Sunday delivery was a thing, but I did not expect anyone to be doing deliveries on a holiday.
With this mini haul all I'm missing from Siege that's been found in stores is Sideswipe and Hound, just holding out for a good price.

Decided to pick up what I could from what I’m missing for Mechtech HA figures. Got Icepick, Backfire, and Whirl. Also managed to find PCC Heavytread at the most reasonable price I’ve ever seen him online. I didn’t want to deal with the ensuing regret that would surely follow, if I had passed him up. So I snagged him. Also got a great deal on Takara Tigatron and Shadow Panther. Never owned either before, so I’m pretty happy.

So today was pretty good. Got Siege Optimus Prime (was supposed to be new but it was obviouly opened and figure removed. It was also missing the instructions. Left the seller a nice message
). Also got Titans Return Sixshot and Astrotrain, and got a lot of the Titan Return cards for the figures that are missing one.

Bucky, your hauls have been incredible lately!! I feel like you and I are almost in the exact same collecting circle!

Cobotron - That they are! I’m a little surprised by how much I like these two. They’re pretty endearing. Especially when posed together.
D-Max - Yeah, I’ve noticed that, too. Very similar tastes in TF toys. Especially when it comes to Beast Wars!

No Beasts this time, but one box each from Amazon, EBay, and Hasbropulse!

What's up with all the PCC love lately?
Oh well, why not import some more from Japan?
https://order.mandarake.co.jp/order/lis ... EX&lang=en
Some of these repaints look pretty damn swell and the prices are not too bad.

D-Max - They really, really are. PCC has swiftly become one of my favorite lines. It’s so awesome and fun to simply slap together a Combiner. Very satisfying. I’m just waiting for Grimstone to arrive (Friday or Saturday) and then I’ll have the whole line! I even snagged the exclusive microns from BBTS while their prices are slashed.
Kanrabat - ha. Already took the plunge on those. JetMaster is on its way. It’s the first United EX one I’ve bought. I found it on EBay for a very reasonable price, but most of the others are pricey. I’ve never looked at Mandarake before, but the prices here are superb by comparison!! Thank you! Do you know if the shipping rate is fair, because if so, I am absolutely buying the rest from here. The decos on Race, Build, and LoadMaster are gorgeous.
