Let me refine that comment a bit. The robot mode for G1 Scorpy seems very blockish and inarticulate compared to ER Scorponok. His scorpion mode is not bad. If I had the money, I'd get both Scorponok and Zarak (if he'll be made) because technically they're 2 completely separate characters. And it's not like Zarak would be a straight repaint of Scorponok, they would change some things, most notably the head. I assume it would still be a double headmaster like Scorponok, so I wonder what the smaller robots would be called. One of them has to be Devil Z, but which one?-Kanrabat- wrote:Rodimus Prime wrote:Really? Compared to the Titan figure, the old G1 figure looks like a Tonka toy. Unless you have a strict rule against getting more than 1 of each mold, I'd say grab ER Scorponok.
You're the first to even made that waky comparison.
But yeah, I do have a rule is no doubles for titans. I have G1 Fortmax so I sold my underwhelming CW Fortmax. I never had and don't plan to have G1 Omega, Trippy, nor 'Plex. So by getting a Select Zarak, I'd be cheating just a bit. It's the character that I really want after all.
Still, if Zarak is not announced by the time of the last batch of Scorponoks hit stores on sale (like for my Omega Supreme), I'll just get Scorpy.

If by just "Zarak" you mean BlackZarak, then... No, they were the same guy.Rodimus Prime wrote:If I had the money, I'd get both Scorponok and Zarak (if he'll be made) because technically they're 2 completely separate characters.

That's splitting hairs. Yeah, I meant Devil Z. It's been a few years since I've seen Masterforce, I remembered Black Zarak being the transtector for Devil Z. I didn't even remember that he was around before that. I guess it's time to watch Headmasters and Masterforce again.Sabrblade wrote:If by just "Zarak" you mean BlackZarak, then... Well, okay, BlackZarak technically got a new identity when he became the physical host for Devil Z, but on his own, he was Scorponok in a new upgraded (admittedly smaller, but still more powerful) form.
Yeah, Devil Z's a ball of energy. BlackZarak was Scorponok in a new form from outer space, who came to Earth in the show long after Devil Z was already there.Rodimus Prime wrote:That's splitting hairs. Yeah, I meant Devil Z. Sentinel_Primal wrote:Honestly, if they are going to do Black Zarak, I'd rather it be Leader or Commander class because I plan to pick up Scorponok, and prefer not to buy repaints of Titans.
Though, I will say, a Commander class Scorponok would be an instant buy just because he'd be tall, but not so tall that he can't really be with other Decepticons without dwarfing them. Especially because while the Titan Scorponok looks great, at that size, I feel it definitely represents Zarak+Scorponok, rather than just Scorponok

It's been all but confirmed that we're getting Ririchi (Black Zarack's gold Fasttrack) in Selects which appears to be Hasbro initiated of all things. Pair that with it having a spear mode and...

My first thought when I saw Skylynx was the Defiant Shuttle Complex.
It was said in a leak a while back that we do have a G.I.Joe crossover figure coming sometime soon. At the time I said a Sky Lynx Defiant would be ideal, but now with Maverick revealed I'm leaning towards a Skystriker repaint, maybe named Ace (or probably Captain Ace). I hope Maverick turns out well because it has a lot of potential.
Totally had not heard that Joe news and have totally been on a Joe kick lately. Captain Ace, love that! Just don’t want them to have vehicles that turn into a robo Duke or CyberDestro it could go funky like the spindly oft-awkward Star Wars crossovers. Brrr, cringy.
