So with the discussion about ER Optimus Prime, I stopped back by a Target, they had him, Astrotrain, Grapple, and Starscream.

A definite good Karma moment!

So, as much as I would like to give a comparison between G1 OP and ER OP, my G1 collection is back in Missouri. So i just did a quick group shot with what I have currently of the ER line.

This morning, I found Earthrise Leader Optimus Prime! There was only one on the shelf along with Astrotrain, which I didn't need. Once again, that was the ONLY size class for Earthrise on the shelf at that particular Target. Wow, I can't believe in the space of 24 hours that I managed to catch up completely with Earthrise after seeing nothing anywhere before this past weekend! It pays to check frequently.

In reality, the sightings have been few and far between, like I said, leaks more likely than anything, employees not following direction, whatever. They are not in stock yet on Amazon, BBTS, or even HasbroPulse (still all pre-order status). After I told a contractor that works in my building on base about the ER OP, he went to that target and asked employee if they had any in back and they did. He definitely got lucky. Weird that they initially only put one out, was apparent they only got the two in.

I will say Grapple does look great. While I'm not to keen on how he looks in vehicle mode, I will still eventually get him.

This past weekend I went to my usual Target. Now keep in mind, my prior trip they had pretty bare shelves. This trip the shelves were full, of Siege product. Shockwaves and Firedrives as far as the eye could see...

Unfortunately your store probably won't get any new leaders in until some of those Shockwaves move. Most of the stores near me suffer the same fate. I'm keeping my eye on the 2 stores that "only" have 4 Shockwaves.

For the record, other Targets in my area have "only" 3 or 4, if that is a good thing, then I guess that is where hopefully Earthrise will show up first

That is how I ended up finding the micromasters and deluxes for far, keeping an eye on the Target that is low on them. Found the Voyagers today the same way, just the leaders and battlemasters left to go.

Shockwave was re-released in Wave 2, but apparently everyone preferred Ultra Magnus and Galaxy Prime. Taking into account parents usually restrict their kids' spending, it's not unfeasible that it was an "either or", and Shockwave usually got the short end.

Just spotted an ER Optimus out in the wild. He doesn't interest me, so I left him. The Transformers section was a complete mess though, with empty pegs and voyagers all over the place, so I figure they were finally restocking. Which is nice, as I'll finally be seeing some new stuff. I'm only today finding the latest wave of Studio Series, the one that released at least a month ago...

After messing around with ER OP, i guess the only thing I wish they had done was added blue to his combat deck. Mainly to the cockpit/droid part that has the claw arms.

Not uncommon to have different colors on the package than what you actually get. On the back of the package that piece with the claws is all blue.

If you really look at the trailer itself, it is almost too must grey (my opinion). Alittle blue would have broken up all that grey color.

In the instructions, it does show how Grapple can connect to the trailer ramp with his black claw in vehicle mode. Of course in the picture I included earlier, I just connected Ironworks to that ramp. There is going to be so many variations you can connect them.

Otherwise, I am happy i picked him up.

That, and a LOT of collectors were super salty about his price-point and vehemently swore they were gonna boycott until he hit clearance; but being repacked in wave two ended up being a big mistake
