He's ever so slightly smaller than Siege Starscream, if that helps. My best estimate is that the Classics one comes to about the Earthrise's chest.

To be fair, Antilla did first come from the G1 cartoon as the Cosmic Rust planet.Stargrave wrote:I mean Antilla? With Unicron on the box art? This is so cool!

I wonder if you got a loose figure, as the shoulder connections on my Grapple are pretty snug. I didn't even want this figure but after playing with him for over a week I am pretty happy.william-james88 wrote:That is more convincing. The robot mode is better, though I really despise the way the arms/shoulders don't say pegged in solidly when posing him. Those are some weak ass connections, reminds me of MP Roadrage or RID Sideswipe.

Once again, that was the ONLY size class for Earthrise on the shelf at that particular Target. Wow, I can't believe in the space of 24 hours that I managed to catch up completely with Earthrise after seeing nothing anywhere before this past weekend! It pays to check frequently.
This past weekend I went to my usual Target. Now keep in mind, my prior trip they had pretty bare shelves. This trip the shelves were full, of Siege product. Shockwaves and Firedrives as far as the eye could see...o.supreme wrote:Wolfman Jake wrote:This morning, I found Earthrise Leader Optimus Prime! The Target nearest my work this morning still has 8 Shockwaves on the shelf, I keep asking the employees to search the back for anything Earthrise related, showing them pictures, giving detailed explanations etc... and nothing. it's a conspiracy I tells ya!

Does anyone know why he was released practically first and in such large quantities? When I think of fan favorite characters, neither G1 Shockwave nor IDW Shockwave stand out.SGMLordMirage wrote:Shockwave could become the ultimate target shelf warmer. It's crazy how many are sitting on the shelves.
Didn't Shocky get released in more than one wave as well?aronjlove wrote:Does anyone know why he was released practically first and in such large quantities? Original Shockwave is definitely a fan favorite, however, for whatever reason this Siege Leader (probably based on a concept stemming back to the PotP contest) was seemingly way over produced. I still think they should have only released one Leader per wave, and in less quantity. It seems the amount of Shockwaves made as opposed to Magnus and Galaxy prime were 3-to-1.
For the record, other Targets in my area have "only" 3 or 4, if that is a good thing, then I guess that is where hopefully Earthrise will show up first

That is how I ended up finding the micromasters and deluxes for far, keeping an eye on the Target that is low on them. Found the Voyagers today the same way, just the leaders and battlemasters left to go.

Shockwave was re-released in Wave 2, but apparently everyone preferred Ultra Magnus and Galaxy Prime. Taking into account parents usually restrict their kids' spending, it's not unfeasible that it was an "either or", and Shockwave usually got the short end.
