He wouldn't be on shelves regardless, there'd be too much siege still shelfwarming :HEADHURTS:
This would be a big reason why I hope the G2 Megs gets pulled from Selects and moved to the retail line in place of the regular colors version.

Well hey, Skywarp was the first Transformer in the cartoon to receive an Earth mode in addition to being one of the two seen in tetrajet mode in MTMTE.

I feel the same way. I love that old mold. That, but bigger and better? Sign me up!

If it makes you feel better Shockwave has two Seekers coloured as Skywarp with him in one episode. Maybe Seige Skywarp can be that fellow with Earthrise being Skywarp proper.

Also, it's Skywarp and Thundercracker in tetrajet form who chase Bumblebee and Wheeljack down the road.

Lol. I was born in 1993. The cartoon kinda doesn’t matter to me; it’s all about the figures themselves. It does feel “right” in my brain for the main three and the Coneheads to all have earth modes. The background bros can be whatever.

So I got Starscream and Wheeljack today.

Impressions, Starscream - this is the classic seeker mold on steroids. Uses design cues from it, but with vastly superior articulation and size. I like it more than I thought it would. A great update of an update, with C.O.M.B.A.T. capability.

Impressions, Wheeljack - he seems a lot like the Masterpiece. A lot. I like how the box art shows the hollow inner leg lol. My wheeljack has a bit of a floppy left knee, but other than that he's great. I'd like an Exhaust, please.

As many as Hasbro thinks there should be. Not intended to be a snarky answer, we learned from Siege that Hasbro is willing to just randomly add waves if they feel like it. With Earth Rise already having a late start and all the crap happening in the world already causing delays for Hasbro I wouldn't be surprised at all if they considered 2020 a washout for them and extended Earth Rise through all of 2021. ER wave 2 will most likely be pushed to late summer and wave 3 to the winter which is usually when the next line starts. So then wave 4 could be spring and wave 5 (like Siege) in late summer/fall bringing us back around to the winter for part 3. In some regions we could effectively see only two ER waves at retail this year. Heck, I'm still waiting to see Deluxe wave 1 in stores, haven't seen ER at all at Walmart. Retail saturation is still some time off for ER wave 1 in general and it's already April.

40? I'm 46.

I got Cliffjumper, Starscream x2 and Wheeljack from Walmart in Baltimore, MD. My son's Optimus Prime I got from Best Buy, where they had all the deluxes as well. Haven't seen Astrotrain or Soundbarrier as yet. I need to find another Optimus, or I guess Amazon...

I'm a weird case in that I was born in 1998 (so currently 21), but I basically (to varying extents) grew up with every show/major installment of the franchise that existed during my childhood, up to about 2011?

The ones that were actually on TV/in theaters and major interests were of course Unicron Trilogy, the Movies, and Animated, but I also had DVDs of G1's first season and the 86 Movie, and I watched those (especially the Movie) aaaaall the time, and would often try to find old G1 toys in shops that had them used (my interest in G1 unfortunately started after the Commemorative Series).

Beast Wars and Beast Machines I wasn't quite as familiar with, but I had some of the toys from probably garage sales or something, and I saw some episodes occasionally as either reruns or clips online, can't remember, and later watched all 3 seasons of Beast Wars on Netflix. RID2001 is probably the one I had the least childhood familiarity with, but I did see the occasional episode, and experienced one or two of the toys from going over to friends' houses.

So one of the leaks is a G.I.Joe/Transformers crossover for SDCC. Have there been any rumors as to what this will be? I highly doubt it'll be an old G.I.Joe vehicle repainted like previous SDCC exclusives and I doubt it'll actually include a G.I.Joe figure since those have moved on to 6" scale. So it's pretty likely it'll be a Transformers figure, most likely from Earth Rise, repainted like a G.I.Joe vehicle. Problem is there's a real shortage of outright military vehicles in ER so far, just Megatron, Starscream (et al), and Doubledealer which would be kinda weird to use.

There is one that came to mind that could be neat, but I don't know if it would be different enough to warrant being made: The Defiant launch complex out of Sky Lynx. the Defiant has a crawler, a shuttle, and a base mode just like Sky Lynx. Only trade off is swapping a second shuttle for beast modes. The dino bird half would be in black and white and the lynx half can be darker blue with gray legs. Maybe change the gold parts silver.

(Incidentally, while looking for pics I cam across this neat custom Lego Defiant Sky Lynx.)

There's also obvious things like proper green G2 Megatron (was he already leaked?) who debuted in the G.I.Joe comics, or mirroring the 2013 SDCC Jetfire and repaint Siege Jetfire as a Joe SkyStriker. If they do use Siege there's also Skytread, Impactor, and Hound.

There really aren't a ton of options, but I'd be really happy to see Sky Lynx as the Defiant happen.

Funny you show the picture of the defiant there. That had been one of the toys I'd really wanted as a kid but never got. Then last year I was at the Local Army Navy Store and they have it as well as other GI Joe figures and vehicles on display. I can't tell you how excited I was to see it. None of the GI Joe stuff was for sale though. :(

That lego set is awesome. It seems to me Hasbro should have hired a bunch of fans to create the Kre-O transformer figures with the amazing jobs they do.

On the side note, I love the number on the station part, X 8008 X, it makes me laugh like a grade schooler.

Thrilling 30 Deluxe Bumblebee has been the G1 Bee I've had on my main collection display for a few years now, but I wouldn't mind an update. I picked up Voyager Starscream recently, it's a good solid mould, so I'll definitely buy Thundercracker and Skywarp, but probably stop there when it comes to Seekers.

Hasbro is relaunching their Joe line this year and you think they won't put a Joe figure in a Joe crossover set? I respectfully disagree, which is to say I would be absolutely shocked if they don't.

Yes, it poses scale issues, but there are a couple things they could do. I could imagine "mass shifting Soundwave and/or cassettes, though SW would only be slightly taller than a Joe. Ravage or Buzzsaw would be reasonable. Other than that, I can't think of any obvious repaints that would be in the same ballpark. The SS Arcee trio would still be too small since they're roughly scaled to larger figures.

I don't expect a 6" scale vehicle since they haven't announced any yet for the current line. Alternatively, they could release Joes smaller than 6", but there aren't any obvious choices there. Maybe a redecoed Battle Master? Actually, that could split a couple ways, with a Hound + Targetmaster Joe or Snake Eyes plus redecoed Lionizer. It would be a bit of a stretch, since those models don't look very Earth-like, but I find it more plausible than not including a Joe figure at all.

Vehicles are always a bit of a grey area to any GI Joe relaunch I would imagine. Considering how many exist within the line in a variety of sizes. For example, I highly doubt a new and larger USS Flagg or Cobra Terror Drome would even be considered.

That said, as a GI Joe/Transformers crossover concept, give the Transformers the role of their vehicles EG Broadside as USS Flagg, Megatron as a HISS Tank etc With a Joe/Cobra figure included as a "pilot", I think that would work.

While I don't know the state of the GI Joe fandom these days, I'd imagine the Terrordrome or Flagg would be prime HasLab items but only if there was a big enough and dedicated enough fan base to support it.

I think your idea about the tfs becoming the vehicles accompanied with a Joe is a good idea though, a return to the Human Alliance theme from Dark of the Moon (or its larger cousin that debuted in Revenge of the Fallen)

I mean of course they could pair a new 6" Joe figure with a random Transformer, who wouldn't be happy with a commemorative Cobra Commander/Starscream 2 pack? But that feels like a missed opportunity to make a Transformer look like a proper Joe vehicle. We had a few years of things the other way around at SDCC, but Hasbro always comes up short on doing it the other way around. We've had some thinly veiled tributes like CW Viper and Energon Snowcat, but never anything proper, instead preferring to go with Star Wars and Marvel crossovers. I think we've waited long enough.

I do like the idea of Battle Masters given Joe decos, but I feel like if Hasbro was going to do any Joe figure it would have to be their new 6" figures. Some Titans Return molds would be neat, too, but I don't see Hasbro going that far back, they like to keep things current.

In your opinion, we will see Elita-1 re-make for this series? No combine mode and more look like Arcee or Chromia for example? And more question, I love the Dinobots, but not like their Pop version, maybe a remake in this line too? And we will see a Command class for Decepticons (Overlord maybe)? Thanks for the replies or your opinions

If the Netflix show uses her in a cool way,we can certainly say she would get a toy.

Controversial opinion:
I think T30 Hoist looks better in both modes than Earthrise Hoist.

On another topic, since the earthrise seekers are an upscale of the Classics mold, are we assuming the coneheads will be retooled the same way the classics mold was?

But that feels like a missed opportunity to make a Transformer look like a proper Joe vehicle. We had a few years of things the other way around at SDCC, but Hasbro always comes up short on doing it the other way around. We've had some thinly veiled tributes like CW Viper and Energon Snowcat, but never anything proper, instead preferring to go with Star Wars and Marvel crossovers. I think we've waited long enough.

How about going one further than a Random Transformer? What I was proposing was for a HISS Tank, that transforms into Megatron. A [scaled down] USS Flagg with a Broadside altmode. Take the Joe designs and retrofit a Transformer into them. Not just a redeco over an existing Transformer design.

I'd assume so. As a lead on question though, do you think they will transfer all of the SIEGE Tetrajets into the Earthrise Seeker mold?

I hope the new Coneheads find a way to hide their face. It was barely okay back in the day. I hope they do it somewhat differently, however, since they also had nubby tips in place mode.

I don't actually think they'll do all the Siege Seekers as ER Seekers. If they're going by the cartoon then the Rainmakers were never jets and they seem to be going for cartoon accuracy. Although that doesn't rule out a Selects repaint, I guess. I wonder if I'd be stupid enough to rebuy ER Rainmakers...

I presume they will hide the Coneheads' faces, Gauntlet. After all, these are Voyagers where the Classics mold was only a Deluxe.

Well, that's you :P Some of us find the Hi-lux much better looking than the modern truck, and can enjoy a robot mode even if it's tubby. So nyeh :P

As much as I like the Coneheads I really hope that the Conehead feature is optional so people can have both.
