He's not as G1 as I'd hope, he's not as G1 as Siege Sideswipe was, & that was not strictly G1 either. There aren't enough call-backs to the G1 toy in bot-mode detail & color-wise, there's no red shoulders, his weaponry is inadequate, and...oh there it is! His car-mode has NO CHROME SPOILER, THAT'S IT!! He's like a cat missing it's tail, & for some reason it seem more egregious on him than on Sideswipe. A 3P will have to accessorise him & ToyHax will need to add retro detail & color!

Prime vs prime got arcee and sounded like he has the rest of wave 2.
I can not wait to get this arcee and have her with my wreckers collection, but I do think they could have done a bit more to integrate the kibble in robot mode.

I would use a T30 Arcee with the Wreckers, for the swords if nothing else.
Solipsist wrote:Runamuck looks great. His vehicle mode reminds me of a classic car driven by James Bond in one of his movies with Roger Moore back in the late '70's or early '80's. I can't remember which film it was. THIS is an awesome figure and I am going to try to find it when it is available.![]()

That is the version that I want, but the few times that I have looked it up on ebay it is going for crazy prices. For now, the ER one will do fine with my wreckers.

What are you referring to?

HasTak’s “unified brand cohesion” initiative; in other words there will be no differences between Hasbro and Takara releases, and Masterpiece and Selects figures that would normally be only seen in Japan is carried over as Hasbro Pulse exclusives and not imports, making them more widely available.
Fires of Inferno apparently hasn't gotten with the program yet. Look:Jeddostotle7 wrote:Mindmaster wrote:Jeddostotle7 wrote:cruizerdave wrote:I thought that since they merged a year or two back, there wasn't going to be any deviations between Takara and Hasbro's TFs?

No, I'm extremely aware of that, I was wondering what supposed deviations they were referring to.
News flash: The "Flashier Takara version" thing died with the start of PotP.Fires_Of_Inferno wrote:I am surprisingly underwhelmed by this Arcee. Her vehicle mode looks like a piece of candy. I'm glad I picked up the T30 Arcee. I will be honest, I'm still tempted to grab this Arcee. I might want to see the Takara version first to be honest.
Because they've never exactly been generous with regard to paint budgets on regular-release figures, and with a limited paint budget the deco artists tend to skimp on out-of-view areas.Fires_Of_Inferno wrote:She is pretty well articulated so there's that. It bothers me that the paint on her mid-section and waist doesn't go all the way around to the back. I don't get why Hasbro does that.
I admit I'm somewhat warming up because of the articulation, but that lack of the T30 version's altmode integration still bugs me. I hope someone makes a headmaster conversion kit for her.Fires_Of_Inferno wrote:That last shot really does sway me a little more to the "maybe" area rather than a hard no. I wonder if the rest of her backpack can be removed.

1. This happened two years ago, what's your excuse for not noticing?
2. Of course they went with the tighter paint budget - I don't think Hasbro's shareholders would allow anything else.
3. It's just freaking paint apps. Stop being such a spoiled brat about it.

1: I don't normally look at toy news other than releases.
2: yeah that makes sense really. the extra paint apps would be expensive and I'd probably go to Reprolabels for things anyway.
3: This is gonna sound weird coming from a guy who was just bitching about paint apps, but wow, calm down.
