He is really gratifying, and his head sculpt is fantastic! I think his eventual home is with my other Unicron Trilogy guys, and he is so cool. I love him!

I love the classic but this just has the articulation great proportions a great inner robot mode - with all that I can over look the wheels which are not wheels...because they’re galvaconductors.
I love hearing when a purchase of that amount is truly satisfying.

Re: Transformers War for Cybertron: Siege Discussion Thread
I'm quite torn: I like the Siege UM mold and this seems like a kickass retool. At the same time, however, I've already got more than one Optimus Prime and I try (often failing!) to stay at one version of each character, maybe two for the big guys like Optimus and Megatron, as I got their Siege and TR selves. So while I absolutely love the look on Galaxy Convoy I'm not sure if I should break my own rule.

Man I’d go with your gut they’re both great but if you’re leaning one way I think the great thing is you kinda can’t lose. It’s a great mold get your A choice and who knows maybe it’ll win you over you know?

Should I get him, he'll have a reserved spot on the "smaller non-Legion Leader toy" shelf. It's mostly Deluxe-sized versions of larger characters (like "Bendy" Armada Prime or Deluxe DotM Optimus Prime) but they've become dying breed at this point.

Hey DMax I’m stealing your awesome idea nugget:
Who here would ever think a build a figure piece in every Siege box would be uh, amazing?
Weaponizers are practically that already.
I think that would be so cool.

I made that rule for myself once too right after TR Powermaster Prime, and already having the older deluxe Linebacker Prime and the CW red and white versions (4 by then). But Hasbro keep making interesting new primes, those crafty bastards. I did manage to skip the TR regular voyager, but got the Laser Prime version (5). Then Magnus Prime (6). And SDCC Primitive Skate Prime (7). Then those evil geniuses came up with a Pax Prime combo in the PotP leader (8). So by the time Siege came around, I was like "That's it, NO MORE PRIMES!!!!". And immediately bought the Siege Voyager (9). Sigh.
I will be skipping Cybertron prime however, just no connection or interest actually, not will power, I clearly have none of that.

See, now that i have a large portion of the more "regular" cast members in toy form, I try to buy only 1 version of a mold, unless it makes complete sense and I am lacking both, like how I have Sideswipe and Red Alert as I did not have a generations version of either.
Now when it comes to Prime, I end up getting what i think is cool and what is unique. I bought the Battlecore Prime form CW for his head and unique colors, and he makes a kickass super combiner. I did not get powermaster Prime or the retail Prime in TR, but i got the black and red G2 Prime from the boxset and i got super Ginrai/Magnus Prime to combine with Godbomber. I got PotP Prime cause he has Orion and he is essentially a MP in robot mode. I got the retail Siege Prime for an in-scale good Prime, and then this Galaxy Prime is a whole other concept, a power up armor based from the UT, so he is justified by being a totally unique design. It's also why i am getting Star Convoy, because it is in a way a different take and he's one of the Legendary Japanese G1 Leaders, so he will go with my near complete Supreme Commanders lineup.
All that to say: I think you should go for it. The alt mode and the super robot mode are unique from your regular Primes, and represent a different universe Prime, or even a totally different G1 take on him. He is far unique enough from Siege voyager Prime to be worth having both.
And his head sculpt kills. Prime needs more head sculpts with yellow/gold and/or silver.

Personally, I've never liked the BAF concept... That's why I don't buy any of the Marvel Legends figures. There are some figures that look nice, but others I don't have a connection too. And because of the BAF parts being otherwise useless without the other figures, I end up not buying the figures I like just due to the fact that knowing myself I'd end up buying figures of characters I have no connection to just to complete a figure. But if they did it correctly with the parts having functions outside of forming the character like turning into weapons, I'd be all for it! C'mon Overload!

Oh yeah, that reminds me, I took a few days to formulate my thoughts on Optimus and then we got a puppy and I forgot to post them. Whoops. Anyway, I'm inclined to agree that he's great, Leader Optimus is currently my favorite Siege figure so far. I know that's partially due to the Unicron Trilogy being my source of nostalgia, and he's also my only non-Deluxe so far, but I really like him. I feel like the non-Super Mode Prime is just as playable as the Super Mode, the poseability's great, and while I will not try to defend the trailer-less alt mode being rubbish, and I love the combined alt mode, it feels like a combination Cybertronian firetruck and armored troop transport.
He's technically my second OP, as I still have my Bendy Prime since he was one of my first figures, but I needed an upgrade for scale purposes at least and I couldn't resist the design, so I think Bendy Prime is now going to serve as his pre-Matrix form.

Just got Galaxy Upgrade Optimus a couple days ago, and I'm kinda loving it. Even comparing him to the original I have (red and black redeco), I almost kinda prefer this new one because it's more... wieldy, I guess?

I do wish there was some way to detach the wing backpack from the chest window piece so I could have him with all these pieces remaining and with just the chest windows without the wings to replicate his armored-down look from Cybertron. Guess I'll just have to get my hands on another of the torso armor piece, unpin the backpack from the chest window/head bit, and find a third-party faceplateless head to put on it. And paint the forearms blue.

Magnus’ blue forearms complete the look for me personally. The bulk stays proportional it’s really cool looking. I’ve thought about knocking out that pin too I wish it had that same functionality. He’s totally my Red Nemesis Prime when he’s next to Voyager Optimus.

Yeah, but even if I were to use Magnus' forearm armor (I think it looks a little bulky if I also add Galaxy Upgrade Optimus' own forearm things on top anyway), that would leave Magnus without them, so I'd have to get another Magnus just to get the forearm armor. I think painting the forearms blue would be a more cost-effective way to emulate original Cybertron Optimus' look better.

Transformers Siege News with Wave 3 Micro Masters Sighting and Springer Video Review

We have a new US sighting for the Transformers War for Cybertron Siege line. The only new release for wave 3 Micromasters, WFC-S32 Decepticon Blackjack & Hyperdrive (Sports Car Patrol), has been found at Fair Lakes Target in Virginia. This can also be ordered right now on Amazon.com for $9.99 by clicking here. For those wondering, WFC-S33 Autobot Powertrain & Highjump (Off Road Patrol) is wave 4.
The sightings come from Golion who posted it on the TFW2005 boards. Golion posted comparison shots with previous Blackjack figures.

Regarding the Siege line, we also have a video review of Springer, who is also being found in the US.

He’s till schedule for June release along with springer separately in all online retailers. I think there might be 2 separate wave three voyager releases. One all springer and one all thundercracker
