For me too. Look more like candle wax than anything else. It's weird. Let's hope the in-hand pictures are better.
I still can't get over that garbage "jet" mode, but the PERFECT robot mode and that rocking ape mode more than compensate for that flaw.

I think it all started when they showed Megatron holding his Fusion Cannon.Sentinel_Primal wrote:Decepticon Stryker wrote:Takara's stock photos of Jetfire had this effect too. Looked a lot darker than the figure actually is.
I've been noticing this a lot since brand unification, Takara's stock photos of general releases seem to be darker and not always good representations of the final product. Generally Takara does better stock photos in terms of showing off the figure, but Hasbro seems to do better at balancing the lighting to make it look closer to the final product
I think that white has that opalescence, or sparkle fleck in it.Sentinel_Primal wrote:Oh, cool. It's nice to see how the head works. Though, don't know if it's just how Takara has everything lit for promo shots, but Apeface's white plastic just looks iffy to me

Well I am Australian. It's kinda what we're known for.
DeathReviews wrote:Sigh... I wanted to like Apeface. I had the G1 version back in the day. But after 30 years, this was seriously the best they could do? Lawful heart, that off-white plastic looks like badly melted cheese.
What about Holo Mirage?Stargrave wrote:Shockwave stands in solidarity as the only Siege figure to not have red on him. I’m telling you Siege is like 70% red.
You're not. But it's actually to be expected with Spasma!Stormshot_Prime wrote:Anyone else notice that bizarre double sided Headmaster? Or am I just seeing things?
ZeldaTheSwordsman wrote:As for the chunky jet mode... Since they were going for resemblance to the G1 design, there was no helping it on account of the twonk who designed the original giving him oblong beast limbs. A larger wingspan would probably help the looks, but price point strictures are a thing.,,
As far as I'm concerned regarding Springer: SIEGE Rules, Thrilling 30 drools!
ZeldaTheSwordsman wrote:Why those blocky gorilla shoulders on Apeface? To make room for the joints. And honestly, given where the original's intakes were and the way SIEGE Apeface's gorilla arms transform, your question should be "Why those blocky gorilla forearms?"
