Well, they've definitely gone HAM on this Siege thing. No doubt about it. I might have to skip this one, as I've almost matched the entirety of my Masterpiece Collection in like 3.5 months, with some characters still forthcoming.

So anyone else find it curious that they gave each of the 3 seekers their own WFC number here despite them all coming in the same package?

sad one upmanship between collectors unfortunately doesn't help.
Just wait and save that extra $100 for your family, a charity or more toys![]()
There is this whole thing about being the first to review on youtube, generating income for them as well. So maybe the 100$ was worth it to them.

If this costs as much as or more then 3 voyager class figures, it's a no for me. For these quick cheap offs, it should be less expensive.

Very possible. Red Wing's box didn't have a target logo on it either.
Is Redwing confirmed to be 100% exclusive to Target? Because this really, really **** sucks due to Target being stillborn and flopping in Canada
He is exclusive to target in the US only. Canada will have its own exclusive channel.
Speaking of which, has target put redwing back up since that fiasco a while ago?

Hasbro rarely if ever gives you value for a package deal. This is for collectors and getting them for the price of 3 voyagers is fine and better than it would be if this was handled by Funpub.

I would bet money that this set will be $100. $90 for the figures and an extra $10 for the exclusive tax.

Sigh, well played Hasbro, well played.
I had a feeling this might happen, especially once I finished getting all the reasonably attainable classics seekers that I wanted (11 so far).
Anyone else planning on keeping a mix of the deluxe classics mold and the voyager siege mold? I'm thinking that's the route I'm going to go, at least until all the ones I have in deluxe get a voyager. So far it is Starscream, Thundercracker, Skywarp and Acid Storm heading towards the selling block. I'm going to wait and see on Ramjet, G2 Ramjet, Thrust, Dirge, Hotlink, Bitstorm and Sunstorm.

Yep, my bet is on $100 as well, nice round number and isn't obscenely higher than 3 voyagers at regular release.

Well, my plan is having these Cybertronian jets mixed in with my G1 S1 MP shelf, similar to how CW Devastator is on there and Refraktor will join for army building with my G1 Reflector and G1 Insecticons to my Generations Insecticons.TF-fan kev777 wrote:Anyone else planning on keeping a mix of the deluxe classics mold and the voyager siege mold? So, yes?
When our basement is done I'll be putting my deluxe seekers back up on the wall (a single push pin is all you need to hang one), and keep any WFC Seekers displayed in bot mode.

Re: Transformers War for Cybertron: Siege Discussion Thread
Thrilled to see these. And since these — and a lot of the line — are modeled after the early episodes, the fact that they look identical to the on-screen model (albeit a little monochrome) is excellent. No compromises. Screen accurate for the win.
Now, though I still would buy the Welcoming Committee, truly the only one seeker I'd lose sleep not having would be Hotlink. That lavender cloned troop builder guy was everywhere in the early episodes. I hope he's in the cards.
As for the seekers, they never were seen as tetrajets to my memory. I'd be okay waiting till another wave and having them retooled to change up the wings and backs and not be tetrajets — like in a year or two. Right now, focus on nailing the cartoon — and bring out the Wheeljack, Bee, and Jazz.

Nah, let Sunstorm come by himself and make the 3-pack be of Hotlink, Bitstream, and pre-upgrade Nacelle (the Fun Pub toy was post-upgrade Nacelle, pre-upgrade would work better with the Siege Seeker mold).Deadput wrote:steals_your_goats wrote:leokearon wrote:Still waiting for Sunstorm

Ah man how did I forget about those guys?
Add those two to the want list, their color schemes would be much appreciated to have. (Nacelle would be cool as well bit I'd rather have him as a remold of Thrust if he's ever made.)

^That is actually a good idea, since of the WC, Sunstorm is the one character that had a breakout role of sorts in DW comics. It would be nice for him to be an Individial Selects release , and have the other 3 in a welcoming comitee pack, similiar to what we've just seen in the rainmaker pack.
I don't think all 10 seekers from the first season have ever been released in one line, and we already have Red Wing (which was not one of those 10) , so it will be interesting. Of course we've never had full re-releases of all of Soundwave and Blasters cassette minions either, Hasbro never seems to get past the most popular 4 or 5. Or turning them into things that are *not* even compatible with Soundwave/Blaster

Re: Transformers War for Cybertron: Siege Discussion Thread
The more I think about things, the remaining welcoming committee — aside from Hotlink — are reuses of the colors blue and yellow. While I'd certainly get it myself, I'm fearing Hasbro may not jump to put out a 3rd and 4th blue jet, and a 2nd and 3rd yellow/orange one. Maybe they can squeeze it in as a box set at a store... or in the Pulse store? That might be the only hope.
But again, I will flip the table if we don't get a lavender jet.

Actually, according to this (had to link via WayBack cuz the images in the present version are all broken), Red Wing may have secretly always been in "MTMTE, Part 1" with the other Welcoming Committee Seekers unbeknownst to all.o.supreme wrote:I don't think all 10 seekers from the first season have ever been released in one line, and we already have Red Wing (which was not one of those 10)

Seeing that crazy analysis just gets me more hyped for Redwing!
Would be nice if they made the welcoming committee instead of the rainmakers. I would have been more tempted by their less-garish color schemes.

Rushing in where Hasbro fears to tread (for now)...

An interesting point for sure, I do consider the upgraded look a more interesting color scheme though, although pre upgrade is nice too it's just not as desirable.

I don't disagree, but there is also the notion of the pre-upgraded form being something we haven't yet ever gotten in toy form before, so a toy of that would be something all new.Deadput wrote:An interesting point for sure, I do consider the upgraded look a more interesting color scheme though, although pre upgrade is nice too it's just not as desirable.

Plus, the upgraded version really works best with the Earth altmode, as that jet mode of his in that form looks superb, and probably wouldn't look quite as nice in this mold's tetrajet form.
