Hopefully not, nice that refraktor can do it, but nearly every other Perceptor figure out there is better as being Perceptor.

Maybe with some heavy retooling, to keep the silhouette right without resorting to partsforming too much of the optical cylinder. But then, why bother at all? The Titans Return version is already amazing.

Those were my thoughts, sure you could retool it, but it would be pretty hard to beat the TR version.

Phantomstrike and Alphastrike are only marked up 2 and 3 dollars respectively. But the *Fan Vote* one marked up by $10 seems a bit much. Hopefully since I only want Aragon to be my Grand Max Cog, I can sell the other two and recoup some of the cost.

Agreed on the Amazon pricing. I can forgive the "rounding up" on the Alphastrike and Phantomstrike sets. It's only a few more dollars each. But the "Fan Vote" 3-pack is just greedy. It chould have just been $60, or even $65 if they wanted just a little bit of a mark-up. It's especially off-putting when you consider that the Target Exclusive Rainmaker 3-Pack and Micromaster 10-Pack are both LESS than the cost of the individual size classes involved. The Rainmakers are a $90 value at only $79.99 and the Micromasters are a $50 value at only $39.99. That's a nice savings of $10 each. Thanks, Target! Amazon is just being greedy, methinks.

There is all that cell shaded like detailing. Looks really neat, but not to my taste. I'd also like to see some actual product shots. Hopefully they'll look as good as the 3P cell shaded offerings.

I can't help but feel that these figures will only look their best from certain angles.

I've preordered "Classic Cartoon" Optimus Prime and Megatron, but just to make sure I have them when actual product shots and in-hand pictures finally come out. I worry that painting these figures to look like they've got lighting effects on them will look doofy in a lot a poses. Shading in animation changes depending on the depicted light source and position of the character. My display shelf isn't a two dimensional animation cell where I can pretend the light is coming from off screen. There are real light sources in my room, and I can change the angle I'm looking at my figure at will. I can't change the shaded deco to match. I really wish these two were just "clean" deco versions of their regular releases without the battle damage and with the few added paint app details, like on Optimus Prime's pelvis and Megatron's abdomen.

Thank you, Wolfman Jake! Like seriously, the Titans Return version looks good and as G1 as you could ask for, and turns into a (working!) microscope once again.

I maintain that a better retool candidate for Refraktor would be the Decepticon warriors from War Dawn. They look kinda similar, they turn into boxes, they're army-building bait..

Yep, I just got it too. I think the original date was somewhere in September, but I can't keep track either. I also got one for the Alphastrike set last night pushing it from early August to the same date later in August as the Phantomstrike set.

I also have no problem spreading out the payments. As long as Pulse keeps that reflector set on target.

Transformers War for Cybertron Siege Deluxe Class Ratchet Found in Hong Kong Toys R Us

Postby ZeroWolf » Sat Jul 20, 2019 9:28 am

Motto: "My past no longer binds my future..."
Weapon: Battle Blades
Greetings Seibertronians! Fresh from his recent appearance at SDCC, Transformers War for Cybertron Siege Deluxe Class Ratchet has been found in a Toy's R Us in Hong Kong! And it wasn't just one that was found either but a whole shelf full. The sighting appears couresty of fellow Seibertron user, TFanPage101, who found it on the Snakas blog, who presented the picture. According to Snakas, the image was posted to the HK-TF Facebook group.

Image

It's been known for a while now that Siege Ratchet was going to be a Walgreens exclusive in the USA, but was unclear what that meant for fans elsewhere but this does mean they could show up at other stores. We'll have more news for you as we get it.

Siege Ratchet is a redeco and slight retool of Wave Two Deluxe Class Ironhide. Instead of coming with Ironhide's weapon, he comes with his own unique weapon and has a third mode of sorts where he can fix Micromasters.

You looking to get Ratchet? Does this spell good news for you? Let us know in the Energon Pub and stay tuned to Seibertron for all the latest news and reviews!
