The one from PotP since he best resembles the naive dockworker from the cartoon.

They are very close in height, which is why a slight tilt of the camera of a slightly uneven ground may make them look like they are the same size. Siege Prime is only 1-2 milimeters taller, as you can see below. He is the same size as Titans Return voyager Prime and no one complained about the size of those voyager toys. I think its because of how stocky Classics Prime is that we all think of him as short when he is in fact about the same height as other voyagers.
But my point was just that since I was using classics Prime as a reference before he came along, the fact that he isn't shorter is all that matters.

What makes Classics Prime seem short is Classics Megatron

That and the Unicron Trilogy Voyagers that preceded him, the movie Voyagers that came after, even some Generations Voyagers (like CW Optimus, who is as tall as an Armada Seeker)... But especially Classics Megs since he's from the same line.

TR and Classics prime are just bulky kibbly bots. Let's get really nerdy
Seige Prime - 150g
PotP Prime - 168g
Classics Prime - 204g
Includes all accessories. 54g difference is a lot of plastic. To put that in perspective, Studio Series VDub Bumblebee weighs 57g naked.
Siege Prime is very streamlined and feels heavy/dense, but felt lighter when I was taking pics. To each their own

That must be nice.
Could finally compare Megatron and Shockwave this morning. With all accessories they weigh close to the same; if anything, Megatron is slightly heavier. Optimus is obviously smaller.
What I did notice, though, is that all of them are more complex and articulated than the Leader Class figures we had been getting. I'd be interested to see a breakdown of parts-count per price point.

Unless, like me - you're minimum wage and you have to wait years for a wage increase and then its not caught up with the increased cost of living. I'm so glad that my job only patches over the gap between my student loan and my expenses...
Can't wait for these to be in the wild near where I live. I'd like to try and score them all at retail, rather than rely on internet sales to try and support the few toy shops left.

Fair enough. I personally prefer the G1 incarnations more on par with each other.
For my money, Classics Prime also ends up looking short next to a lot of the Deluxe-class CHUG Autobots as well as his fellow Classics and Universe Voyagers. It's one of the reasons I went for the CW Voyager instead of the Classics one. That being said, SIEGE Optimus at least isn't shorter than Classics, and is better looking and has less clunky arms than either of them.

Keep an eye on Symths, as they are the best bet for in store at the moment though The Entertainer will stock them eventually...isnt UK retail fun!
Also good point on minimum wage as that was what I had in my head.

The only people I know who get scheduled pay raises are Federal employees, and its certainly not annual. In education, your pay raises come at the whims of state or local legislation. And that's if you're teaching at a public school or a state university. Community college jobs can pay less than minimum wage.

Here in the UK the minimum wage was increased a couple of years ago to what the government deemed "living wage" and it goes up every April (I think) but it doesn't go up massively, we're talking about maybe 10p and hour which only adds on when you look at the monthly take home pay but there's a catch, the more you make, the more the tax man takes.

What line is that Bumblebee from?
I'm perfectly happy with the sizes of the Seige line. If anything, POTP OP was weirdly large.
I came here to comment on Shockwave since I just watched the reviews. It's amazing! Kind of makes the toy accurate MP figure redundant, since I already have the lavender one. We are so lucky to have figures like this as fans. Siege is an amazing line, after some already great ones. These are the kinds of designs we could only dream of when Classics first came out. Fantastic stuff. I keep telling myself maybe I can wind down collecting, but not when they keep releasing amazing figures like these.

Oh gods yes, PotP Optimus was oversize. He can go hang out with CW Megatron and the CW Seekers in the oversize club. I only want him for the matrix and Orion Pax, honestly.
Combiner Wars Optimus on the other hand falls nicely within the Goldilocks zone for me:

SIEGE Optimus is a little short for my tastes comparatively, but I'll most likely still get him since he makes up for it by being way less janky-looking than Classics Voyager Optimus in robot mode and having more desirable accessories.

Depends on what one wants for their collection. There is no "true scale", there is only what we personally like.
Me? I like my Prime's large and in charge, towering over all but Megatron, Magnus, and the Dinobots.
Some like theirs in as close to cartoon scale as they can get.
Some follow comics.
Some don't give a proverbial rat's hind quarters.
Everyone is different. I find Siege Prime, and almost every other prime from the last few years, too small, as it doesn't give me the imposing feeling my long dead childhood self associates with Optimus Prime.
We can't tell somebody they are wrong, we can only give our personal opinions.

Do we know how many cassettes the new Soundwave can hold in his chest? I'm hoping he's able to hold both Ravage and Laserbeak inside, but given the original Soundwave only could hold 1 until the reissues, and some of the shots from his reveal (can't remember which convention/fair) I think he might only have room for one

Until we get in hand images, I would err on the side of caution and just say one, which fits in with the recent reveal of G1 Soundwave and Buzzsaw as that is just the single door version as well.

I have to say, the SIEGE battle damage is a lot more effective and convincing than some of Hasbro's previous attempts. Like this guy:

Like, the marks on his chest, arms, and knee panels are okay in themselves. But they're undercut by the overall shininess of the rest of the figure, and the mark on the face being glossy black. Lessons have obviously been learned.
