I got Jetfire in and man, Commander class feels like the old surpreme class! I felt like a kid opening his armada Unicron again. He's nice and hefty. Totally met my expectations. I love that he can fit 2-3 titan masters and the fireblast effects look great as he towers over the 84 cast.

Mine is at home right now waiting for me. Where else can you put the titan masters besides the cockpit?

Meijer had them on clearance for $4.19 and Micromasters for $6.99.

Was surprised to see this. I picked up one more each of Firedrive and Blowpipe just for the blast effects.

can confirm for meijer, just got the rescue patrol and a spare pteraxadon on clearance

The rear cockpit/fastpack has two slots that look like they can accommodate titan masters (possibly depending on their head mode sculpt) in Jet mode. If you pull up on the backpack like you do for transformation you can place them in.

Remember in the animated movie that there was some discussion of who was reformatted by unicorn into scourge, cyclonus, and the sweeps...Does fracas being paired in this set with skywarp have anything with to do with him becoming scourge in the movie? Just a coincidence, or is Hasbro just "toying" with us...pun was intended :D

It's unrelated. And the argument was over whether it was Skywarp or Bombshell who became Cyclonus.

Besides, that's not really Fracas in the Phantomstrike set. It's Premium Firedrive. It was supposed to be something of a Fracas, looking at the back of the box, but the dinks at HasTak botched it. #-o :-x Everybody should complain to both Hasbro and Amazon - and probably cancel their order if they've ordered it.

I think either they wanted to paint him, and realized it was unpaintable, or something happened with the tooling where black wouldn't work QC wise. Nothing some black plastic dye can't fix. Plus we can keep his arms grey for toy accuracy.

Personally, I actually like the look and plan to use the Fracas in that set for Counterpunch and maybe pick up an extra Firedrive for Punch for a little nod to Sideways from the UT

Wowww. #-o
1. Black plastic dye won't fix the BLACK HEAD AND BODY. :-x
2. The plastic is not likely unpaintable.
3. You're talking out your aft with the "maybe black plastic wouldn't work QC wise" thing. Like, what kind of logic led you to that conclusion? Especially since it's not the body - you know, the part that has the potentially-delicate ball joints and which was black on Firedrive - that was supposed to be black.
4. It's much more likely that they simply, y'know, got the gray and blackplastics switched when they loaded the injectors.

This is what Fracas' original toy looked like:

This is what SIEGE Fracas was supposed to look like

And this is what he actually looks like:

The instructions of a mini bot nowadays are really hard to understand, so I don't think they would get any better with a Voyager triplechanger.

Anything in particular you don't like about the figure?(Besides the obvious Crayola colors and GEEWUN)

It’s overly fiddly to the point of irritation to try and get everything lined up for one mode, the latch’s that are supposed to hold him together in a vehicle mode just don’t line up or don’t take, and I just don’t see how this is better than the gen version we got a few years back which had character, and was way more concise with its transformation

Now on the other hand, I got to spend some time with jetfire, and other than being, just everything in a toy; I discovered that he came with no screws in his left forearm :BANG_HEAD:

So if anyone can tell me if I can source them at a Home Depot, that’d be great :HEADHURTS:

Sorry to hear that, sounds counterproductive but unscrew the right forearm screws so you know what size you need. I can't see you being unable to get any.

It's better from a cartoon accuracy standpoint and has a cleaner helicopter mode. And doesn't have awkward spoiler/tailfin parts that never feel like they have a clear correct robot mode position. The T30 toy can be fairly obnoxious to get properly tabbed together in altmode too- I know mine is. :BANG_HEAD: And SIEGE Springer's legs don't look any more convoluted than T30 Springer's arms.

Carefully check your SIEGE Springer's latches and slots for both flash and excessive room.

I was having a similar issue with mine too. The key for me was the grey hinge piece in Springer's lower back. When I had it pushed fully into the correct position (imo, this wasn't completely clear in the instructions), the tabs all lined up beautifully. Don't know if this the same issue that you are having, but thought I'd mention it.

These are Transformers Toys (keyword, toys) They are meant for us to enjoy, not to be blasting people that you might not necessarily agree with.

With that being said - I just got my Jetfire today, and he is amazing!! Hopefully everyone whose orders got delayed, get theirs soon! :D

CW Megs is oversize and, from what I understand, is overly limited in the arm articulation department.

And I guess "Hampered by gimmicks" is just slang for "Waaa (X) has a gimmick they originally didn't have and I don't like that they have it!" nowadays. As opposed to, say, things like ROTF Leader Megatron sacrificing elbow articulation so that his missile launcher trigger can hid a sound effect button in tank mode. Or poor ROTF Leader-class Jetfire.

So I managed to fix jetfire thanks to a small donation from an old cybertron override and the junker tr megs Ii had lying around.

With that out of the way, I have to say jetfire is easily toy of the year material, he's just so good, I love him; he just blows the gen leader class one away so hard :x

Nah, TR megs is pretty good and the gimmicks only make it a better toy. Small figure that can fit in planes cockpit, check. Can drive the tank, check. Can be eaten by Unicron, almost. Only two holes for weapons and none of the swiss cheese gimmicks of siege (more holes, less plastic content, higher price charged). Fitting alt modes despite being a Blitzwing used as Megatron with Megatrons plane tying into an episode even if it was cut out of it.
I think the Siege figures a little less blocky and the arm cannon looks better (back kibble is about on the same level and doesnt feel like megatron) but lazy/generic H tank alt mode.
CW Megs H tank only kind of works on the armada version, but then the toy pales against the orig armada one with its play features and then as a toy CW Megs really needs the 3rd party add ons to make it a passable display piece.
