That'd be a mighty big/strong stand. I've been looking for a stand that can support a CW combiner and would be interested if you find something that works.RodimusConvoy13 wrote:Does anyone have a good recommendation for a flight stand for Jetfire? Will he at least be accompanying the older one, given the accessories and actually having 5mm-compatible hands?carytheone wrote:I've never really studied Mirage, but he seems to have quite the interesting transformation. Looks like his legs house the front wheels and fold up over the chest, but where does the nose of the alt mode come from? His legs or back? Also really digging the transparent blue.
I don't care for how the arms fold up to make a wall of a spoiler, kind of kills the F1 car sleekness. This will be the rare case of a Siege figure not replacing an older CHUG toy.
Either would be easier to find than a clear stand or harness for Unicron's planet modecarytheone wrote:That'd be a mighty big/strong stand. Bot or alt mode? I've seen those three armed stands that people use for jet modes and such. Might be more realistic to find. I believe D-Max got a pretty nice one recently.
Not sure if I understand the question, but I think the answer is no because I'm skipping Siege Mirage. I probably should have made that clearer.ZeldaTheSwordsman wrote:Will he at least be accompanying the older one, given the accessories and actually having 5mm-compatible hands?carytheone wrote:This will be the rare case of a Siege figure (Mirage) not replacing an older CHUG toy.

Entertainment Earth hasn’t shipped any of that wave yet (that i’m aware of). That said Jetfire arrived yesterday from Amazon. He’s not street dated, I got some from meijer, seems like they got a lot of his wave in company wide, beyond that, bbts got theirs, mine should be shipping out soon; I think this is a case of Hasbro underestimating how much people wanted a reflector proper

I do like the look of the figure and wouldn't mind a redeco as not Dragstrip. Whoa, deja vu

If I may ask, why are you passing on this new Mirage? He looks G1 AF, is only the second "Classics" version of the character we've gotten, and his original 2006 update, IMO, hasn't aged well with his pin-head and overall wonky proportions.

I just got around to it today. I stated with ship mode and just 1 Brunt and it actually wasn't that easy to come up with something I liked. There is also a pretty good lack of useful 5mm holes especially in ship mode. I wanted symmetry and Brunt's arm pieces are really the only symmetrical pair of parts. So those became claws for the front of the ship because why not, and I was able to barely put together a central cannon that used the 5mm holes on top of the part of the ship on either side of the main ramp for city mode. I say barely because Brunt's crotch/upper thigh part is just like 1mm to short for the 5mm posts on his knees fit snugly in the holes on Trypticon.
Then I moved onto using 2 Brunts for better options with symmetry.
Then I switched to city mode and changed things up a little more. I went with 3 weaponizers for each city bot with 2 used for supplementing the ship/city and the 3rd to be the actual character. So Trypticon gets a brunt, and a bunch of bling in the form of brunt pieces.
ZeldaTheSwordsman wrote:You might get better results in ship/battlestation mode if you detach Full-Tilt and move him to the garage. That spot all the way at the back was where Brunt's cannon attached on the original, after all, so it might be worth a shot.
Also, the instructions are wrong (gee, there's a shock) about Trypticon's purple cannon barrels. They should be extended in ship mode (to make the towers look more like guns). and collapsed in city mode.
