I don't go to the toy stores much anymore and just get my purchases from online.
I was ready to be done with the Transformers collecting, but I was at a Toys R Us (Canadian here) for picking out Birthday gifts for relatives when I saw the Transformers toy shelf's and it was packed full of wave 1 Siege figures.
After that I just couldn't help myself and got back into it, I was thinking that Siege would be the last line and it possibly still will be but Earthrise is looking nice, got to snag a Cliffjumper for sure since he's my fave Autobot.
I just love Siege

Yes. Now go to your room and don't play with yourself.

Mirage is one of those figures that looks so good, so clean that it makes it hard for me to complain about GEEWUN when it looks that good on a deluxe budget. Him and the Sideswipe mold are basically the relatively basic design cues you expect of a transforming robot from the Diaclone line but heavily upgraded with modern engineering. If not for the faux chest hood, he'd basically be what the Diaclone designers intended but could not pull off. And no I don't count Masterpiece because MP is very much its own thing with an insane budget.

Hound, Skytread, and Prime. And Ivstill really like Classics Hound, but flat feet, good heels, and cool weapons really sold me on Siege Hound and Skytread is just funky and unique.

Fully agree with your points about the head and transformation. I cannot wait for the 3-pack one, with the IDW head. that is the one that I have been wanting. Was fully gonna pass on the retail one, but I counterpunched myself with how good it looked in the store.
It's a great figure, and hopefully the 3-pack one is the perfect version.
Also, Mirage is a pretty dang great figure. I love the alt mode, and the robot mode is pretty slick too. I wish he had some wrist rotation, but he's still really good.
I have said this before, but Mirage reminds me of a Dragster. I know its the wrong alt, b8t the higher spoiler and large, backset engine really sells it for me as a compact Cybertronian Speed machine. You can even atgue that the obvious fake chest sticking out the back is akind of futuristic airfoil wheelie bar thing for steering or lift management like a Hydroplane uses. I wish it was disguised more, but eh.
I have not convinced myself I care enough about or need the Powerdashers, other than Cromar and I am only getting him for G2 Sideswipe (between Cromar and Nonnef's upgrades G2 'Swipe is gonna be a BEAST) So I will for now be passing on the 3 pack. Maybe if it hits cheap but I'm not gonna double dip on Impactor at full price

how is that i see pictures of completely stocked shelves of transformers from other various stores but here in Oregon the walmarts and targets are basically empty except for one or two wave one siege and a couple cyberverse and a couple studio series

I am actually ok with the faux chest on him, it forms the back of the race car and reminds me more of the movie Sideswipe, with the back forming the chest. And the car itself really compresses and makes itself part of the robot mode.
He is really good. He is a good figure by itself, and a great figure in the line

The mold looks so good it make me wish he had a retool/redeco. I mean, yes he technically does via Holo Mirage but does it really count when its THE SAME CHARACTER? Give me Leadfoot. Speedstream/Deluge or Fracture/Crasher.

Give me all of those. Give ne those in a special edition Indy 500esque gift set. And give me a redeco as Rescue Bots Blurr just to add another car to the field.

I regret spending scalper money on Takara Tomy Legends as I could have used that on more of the Siege line. I came from the IDW comics so I wanted my Brainstorm and Chromedome but the articulation on those pale in comparison to any single figure from the Siege line, not including the Micromasters. And from the images of the new Optimus and Cliffjumper it looks like Earthrise is going to be even more articulated. I'm gonna make soooo many stop-motion GIFs
War for Cybertron: Siege really re-ignited my interest in Transformers action figures. It has been such a good line. The bar has really been raised by Hasbro.

Re: Transformers War for Cybertron: Siege Discussion Thread
So I have a lot more faith with Omega Supreme as a city/base component than the other titans. I do think he was designed more in mind with Earthrise’s “airlock” system and assuming they really lean into it with the other micromaster bases I think he’ll be a real gem.
The more I fiddle with Fort Max the more I really believe he was robbed of his true potential being such a retool of Metroplex.
I know the leader figures were supposed to “bases” for the most part in Titan’s Return, but the decepticons really won the “oppressing military vehicle” option.
I do feel the TR/PotP connections on Omega were more of an Easter egg given their placement up so high on the tracks. I look forward to the next phase of “transformable play sets”

Almost makes me wish they’d re-issue or maybe reuse some of the Titan’s Return leaders.... maybe spice up their articulation a little

I was thinking of setting mine up the the backyard as well, though we have a nice fake-grass patio. I have no problem with concrete, but I'd probably put some sort of padding underneath, blankets etc....but my son is pretty insistent on building it in the middle of the living room. Our main room is kind of narrow and long. may have to move a couch out of the way, and it certainly couldn't stay there for any length of time after photos are taken.

First off, great pics.

Second off, kick his butt to the Allspark, Mirage!

Not caring about scale since 1984. Just like Hasbro.

I give unto you, THE FIRESTORMERS
-Sideswipe
-Trenchfoot
-Cromar
A mercenary combat team who is not afraid to measure victory by the amount of Ammo spent, with a dedication to victory that would make even Slag pause.
Still to add: the Bandolier, guns, and spiky shoulder wheels courtesy of Nonnef.
I gotta tell you, I am giddy over these three and how well they look together. I have not been a fan of the Weaponizers as accessories but this has a huge, stupid, smile on my face

Booo! Was hoping to get to experience the Mirage and Impactor molds today via the Amazon 3 pack, but then I got the dreaded...
Hopefully I'll get to crack into them this weekend.
Speaking of the Mirage mold and speculation of what they might do with it beyond the clear version, what about this using the Amazon "sphinx" head and a new name?

Ooo, I'd be down for a red repaint of Mirage. And as for names, I think it could be a G1 Side Burn. The alt mode doesn't really scream Side Burn, but the color placement kind of reminds me of his super version and I don't see why not since we've never had a G1 version of Side Burn before. Alternatively he could be called Buddy because of the "elf" on his chest
