I got Ironhide a couple of days ago looking for Prowl. Funny how life works. I can't find Prowl to save my life. Chromia seems to be warming pegs...

Thats because female characters dont sell as well.

I still think she's a cool figure, not worthy of shelf-warmer status. But it is what it is.

The thing with Chromia and Moonracer is that, in general, the female characters aren't quite as much of a 'hot sale' for the mom-and-pops-buying-toys-for-kids as that has always been a thing with toys in the boy demographic. That said I've noticed (and if memory serves me from earlier and different toylines) this isn't anywhere as true whenever said fembot is a major character and part of the cast.

However, as is? Moonracer, Novastar, Chromia and Elita-1 weren't exactly an appealing pick in spite of the fandom going 'Its about damn time!'. Meanwhile RID Windblade and Prime Arcee? Those totally sold fine as far as I could tell. That said, for a line that is mostly 'Transformers greatest hits' then...yeah I imagine most people who aren't hardcore toon and comic fans would just glance at the gals ans go "I don't know who she is." Especially when her wavemates include Prowl and Ironhide.

It also doesn't help these figures I mentioned as recent examples tend to suffer from pretty bad kibble issues.

I'm on vacation right now. Was hoping when I checked out a local Walmart and Target tonight that I might finally find the Wave 2 Deluxe Siege figures again. No luck at all. Just a lone Wave 1 Skytread at Walmart and a Wave 1 Sideswipe at Target.

I can almost guarantee it. The problem is she would have to be the selects line instead of a regular release if she were sole combiner part in the line.

I think one of the main problems with Siege Chromia is that they re-used a crappy design, engineering-wise. For me, that mold only did 2 things okay, 1) giving a lesser known fembot a toy and 2) being a decent combiner limb. They re-used that design and took away half of its good points.

Thoughts on my final SIEGE figure from the first batch, Cog.

He's not a character from the cartoon, I got him to experience the "Weaponizers" gimmick and just 'cause he looked cool.

He is interesting, quite a few different configurations. And not necessary just how he assembles on other figures but his alt-mode, too.

Waist rotation and ankle tilts as a standard on a Deluxe is refreshing. Wish Hasbro didn't skimp on the fire/laser effects.. only the smallest and largest scale figures have them. And the "Battle Masters" are packed with only one or two effects.. it doesn't seem worth it just for that.

The peg-ports aren't very consistent, some are more loose.

Might get Brunt to have a Decepticon, too. Besides he looks cool.

Found Aimless and Pteraxadon yesterday at Target! I think that means I'm all caught up on Siege except for Six-Gun. I can't seem to find him anywhere and he hasn't been listed on Amazon at all yet!

The new waves are just starting to hit, so i think we need to wait a few months before deciding if she's not selling as good.

I would hope that with her starring role in the comics with Prowl she would sell better through the comic fans.

I don't think the combiner gimmick would have helped her sell too much better. That was a lackluster mold and we are already essentially getting it 4 times anyways, 2 at retail, so a 3rd use of a lamer mold wouldn't help her either.

I didn't get her cause I love my T30 one, so I don't see a need to get an inferior mold of her, in my opinion

Success at last! I was able to check out two more Walmarts today while in Maryland, and both had Siege Wave 2 Deluxes! The first I checked had everyone but Ironhide. I picked up Chromia and Sixshot, since I got Prowl a few weeks ago in one of my stores back home in Minnesota. The second Walmart had three Ironhides to choose from, so I got the one with the "best" paint job. I've got Wave 2 Micro Masters and Battle Masters in stock and paid in my stack at TFSource currently, so I've got Wave 2 set (except for Galaxy Upgrade Optimus Prime).

I didn't get her cause I love my T30 one, so I don't see a need to get an inferior mold of her, in my opinion

I love T30/Legends Chromia too, but I still got Siege Chromia, hoping to find a nice fan mode for her so she can act as a Targetmaster for the rest of her team when they're combined to form Orthia. It shouldn't be too hard to do something, especially with some extra accessories. These figures were meant to create unique weapon loadouts thanks to the C.O.M.B.A.T. system, so if Chromia herself doesn't make a convincing enough boomstick, I can change that be giving her a few extra weapons from some other figures.

I managed to get ironhide quicker than i remember. This guy is really a great toy!

putting the weapon in the middle really helps to make his arm blends in more with the rest of the vehicle.

and i love how he can properly dual handled his weapon.

Ah so he is a sort of retool of kup. Seeing it up close that's definitely kup's front end. Looks good though. Definitely going to get him and prowl. I was happy with classics 2.0 prowl but he got sticky paint and I tried to fix but made it worse so a new prowl would be nice.

I scored Ironhide and Prowl last night!

I haven't broken them out just yet but for those that have been enjoying Prowl...can his wheels pop off easy like TR Chromedome or are they on a pin that can't be seen?

Like many I wished HasTak would have gone with a simple black for the wheels and not clear. If they do just pop off I plan to color/paint them right, soooooo thanks in advance fans!

So here are some initial thoughts and photos of this figure i have. so this review is unorthodox and sadly one of my better ones do it being more focused, and with photos and not one or the other, took the photos the day i found him, and i wont get the figure do to personal reasons for at least a month, so this is all you get for now,


ok So here is a MISB review at the moment to kick things off,

first image i took basic poor flash washes out details like the battle damageseems he has battle damage on the robot mode arms and black paint on the side of the ladder/super mode gun to break up all the silver

side of the box oh look the image on every side of a siege box with a wheeljack we may not get, do to not winning the fan vote, it'd be like seeing in POTP Star Saber show up in every promo image, like "We wanted him to win guys, you could of had this"better view of the head and silver gun plus the black gun is visible and hey the battle damage is almost invisible in this image
close up on the chest and abdomen for clearer details along with legs and the other super mode gun visible at the same time with the left one
Says convoy in cybertronian and then Galaxy Upgrade Optimus prime in english under it, if i am remembering correctly, also as great as the box art is, It's weird his forearm is blue, I mean the one not covered by the smaller guns/truck bumper
Left black gun and larger gun, plus battle damage on that arm disappears in certain lighting

back of the box with Co release Shockwave and if I am reading it right, production number 90081, and no idea what the heck is in the smaller truck's cgi render, it looks like the super mode chest almost

So far from what I've seen this is gonna be an amazing remold of Ultra Magnus, it may not live up to the original Galaxy convoy in size or gimmicks but if he has the same articulation as Magnus which
I am sure he does, he should have a waist swivel, wrist swivels, ankle tilts, and 5mm peg hands. I do have a theory that the crotch shown on the back of the box, is for the larger robot mode do to it matching the same details on Galaxy Convoy/Cybertron Optimus prime more and the one in the box is mistransformed and is for the regular smaller robot mode instead, so the larger yellow details are for the smaller guy and the smaller ones are for the larger guy pretty much and the instructions and or TonTon along with Long's toys has it wrong
