putting the weapon in the middle really helps to make his arm blends in more with the rest of the vehicle.

and i love how he can properly dual handled his weapon.
Ah so he is a sort of retool of kup. Seeing it up close that's definitely kup's front end. Looks good though. Definitely going to get him and prowl. I was happy with classics 2.0 prowl but he got sticky paint and I tried to fix but made it worse so a new prowl would be nice.
definitely not a retool of kup. Even the transformation is 100% different, there are no shared parts or engineering at all between the two.
The front end is exactly the same. TR PM Optimus used completely different parts from CW Magnus but was clearly built from the same mould, much like Galaxy mode Optimus is to current magnus.
And I really don't get the hangup on terminology people here have. Can I not buy it if I think it's a retool? Am I supposed to pay a different price? Does it mean I cannot provide feedback if I do not conform to some invisible doctrine on language? Am I supposed to pretend PotP didn't reuse parts either? Maybe people should get over it and move on.

On Prime? Yes the front end is the same. But Kup and Ironhide have nothing in common their ront ends. Kup has a big, hollow, angular wedge molded to have a singlw headlight on each side, and a big grill. Ironhide's is neither big, nor solid, nor angular. It has to wrap around what becomes his collarbone. Yes, having it hinged to the bumper is the same as Kup, but that is an
engineering idea
and is about like sayinf Chevy is built from Ford because both truck have a hood attached at rhe back. TR Cheomedome used the same leg desugn as some of the CW Stunticons but he is in no way built from that mold. The whole toy is bigger. The other good example is Energon Starscream and Machine Wars/RID Smokejumper. Both turned into rough analogs of an RF22 Raptor and used almost identical transformations to do it, including having the arms become the vertical fins, the legs the side of the plane, and you even had to turn the front cockpit over 180* to get to the chest. But they are CLEARLY not the same mold based on detailing, and the fact that Smokejumper is Scout class sized while Screamer was a deluxe.
Kup and Ironhide ain't that.
Un fact, Kup has more in common with Siege Hound. No parts are shared, but both toys adopt the unfurling leg to side of car transformation scheme.
And sinxw you mentioned him, yes, Prime IS a retool of Magnus. They physically share identical parts
