SS-17 is probably just Shadow Raider.

Looking at it from a certain angle with my eyes it's definitely Shadow Raider (Pretty cool name honestly) mostly due to the shoulder "bullet/missiles" that Lockdown has on it, as well as the weapon (and the pose it's holding it) as well as the general color pallet.

...yeah, looking at it again, I think you and the others are correct in that it's Shadow Raider, the lighting in that picture just made him look more red than orange at first. I guess that makes Shadow Raider SS-17, so he comes out probably in the same wave as or the wave before ROTF Screamer.

Also is that the regular Jazz on the right or is that a repaint (Smokescreen?) of the figure?

Well, it looks silver and it appears to say SS-10, which is Jazz, so I'm guessing it's just Jazz. Wow, the numbers really make this kind of thing easier.

Honestly, when I read KSI Sentry before I saw the picture, I thought it would be a retool of Nitro Zeus to KSI Boss but I love all of these reveals. VW Bee looks awesome even if the backback doesn't fold up all the way and it reveals his weapons in the movie. I'm strangely liking orange Lockdown and Blue Stinger, though they feel less like characters in the movie and more like selling cars in those colors. DOTM Ratchet is still likable to me and I might just get him for the gun. Overall, I'm happy

One thing stands out to me with these Studio Series reveals. There are still no new Leader releases. Not even an easy repaint of Blackout as Grindor, amid all of these other repaints, some that don't even make any sense (e.g., Blue Stinger, Orange Lockdown).

I would love a Leader class Evac with a new head and the raft gun to replace Scorps



I would love to go back to the old days of the toy line only characters like Stockade (Awesome toy and character) and Landmine even if it's just repaints to fill out the line.

(How about Cliffjumper from the Camaro with a new head and horns on the hood like TFP or Smokescreen with a different weapon and maybe a different head sculpt?)

Didn't notice that rustic look to the yellow version of VW Bee until I saw this close up. What's the code on the hood though? Is that just a test shot code thing and not actually on the released toy? Also is that someone's hair on his rear wheel? I'd rather not have that.

(and please no Leader class repaints... Grindor might get a pass but non-movie characters, no thanks. They're far too expensive and space-consuming for me and I was hoping to kinda get collect every figure in this line)

The new VW Bumblebee looks really good and comes with a lot of accessories; there's a second masked head, a sword, and presumably his plasma cannon. He's also apparently packed with a seemingly unaltered TLK Bumblebee for some reason.

I’m sure VW Bee will be sold by himself though. I guess it’s a good opportunity for anyone who didn’t find TLK Bee at retail.

Looking forwards to (hopefully) some new mold SS figures tomorrow!

Not having TLK Bee nor the original SS Bee, I'd buy that 2-pack in a heartbeat. Plus Camaro Bee's issue should have been fixed by now.

I just had a closer look at the pictures, and I saw the Vol. 2 Gold VW Bee has the backpack transformed properly and much nicer looking. I was gonna like this VW Bee but now, it has to be my new favorite Bumblebee toy . I mean, awesome looking Beetle and Robot modes, flip down battle mask, sweet Jaeger sword and gun, wow, this Bee is just boss

I don’t think I like the colors on that SS ROTF Starscream as much as I did on the render we got not too long ago. I’m happy with the movie 1 SS Screamer.

I’m totally getting that DOTM Ratchet though. The paint needs a lotof work, but that gun is so cool looking. The brighter green and grey instead of white almost make me think it could be AOE Ratchet. The only practical difference it would make is the backdrop, but Ratchet’s shade of green in AOE always looked a bit more vibrant than it was in DOTM to me for some reason.

EDIT: I looked up Trax (on TFWiki) and it seems to be a cross between that guy and G1 Tracks or something.

Also, as someone else mentioned, this looks like a new set. The cassettes have different decos. (In total 1 original set and 1 Decepticon set?)

That's TRAX, the blue Chevrolet SUV "re-defined" into a super car since Hasbro need to re-use some of their earlier moulds to save money.

Featuring Age of Extinction remolds of Lockdown as Shadow Raider, Stinger as a KSI Sentry and featuring a Dark of the Moon green Ratchet, a Voyager Ironhide, and the new Bumblebee movie figures of the Volkswagen titular character and new entry Dropkick as a helicopter!

Hear hear! I regret selling my Generations Whirl but Dropkick looks fantastic, and so much more accurate. I love my aircraft and he looks superb. Bravo HasTak!

Also I like that the Bug Bee doesn't seem to have the rust effects as on the two-pack.

I'm in agreement that we need more good helicopter transformers but do they all have to be blue?

I know they're not all blue but there's quite a lot. Whirl, Cyclonus, Rotorstorm, Rotorbolt, Coptor, Rotor, Drift, Windmill, Blackout, Flip-Top, Obsidian, Skyhammer, G2 Vortex, Highbrow, Blazemaster, Twister, Botcon Battletrap, Grindor sometimes, Evac sometimes and now Dropkick. Not to mention a bunch of Minicon redecos and whoever I left out. Most Spinisters, Twin Spin, RotF Votrex and TCC Topspin are all part blue too.

Damn, how did I leave out Blue Bacchus? It's even in his name that's he's blue.

Don't know much about dropkick, but he is definitely high on my lis. A bit of retooling here and there and i could see hasbro using the mold as whirl.

Also digging the repaints, surprisingly.

So my theory is that Shadow Raider is meant to represent the various mercenaries that patrol the knight ship in AOE. Between the rifle and the mask, I believe that he is meant to encourage army building while also representing an individual character ( similar to Thundercracker). My guess is that the color scheme is meant to make him stand out.

Why are we getting a second Ratchet so soon. I mean I like the color but its too soon man! The Shadow Raider and KSI sentry look awesome though. Not too sure on the Ironhide but I do need the weapons from it if they are the same kind as the ones I am missing.
