There has never been a live action show that has pushed the boundaries of 3D like Transformers 3. We shot the entire movie with 3D cameras. I actually loved shooting in blah blah blah blah
This thread hit a nerve with Mickey? Oh thats just awesome, I wonder if somewhere, something randomly exploded....cause thats how the law of cause and effect applies to Michaels person
I would luv to come into your editing room Mickey, for soooo many reasons ha ha. I luv his close to bi-polar attitude concerning 3D, how it went from stealing jobs from americans to the bestest thing ever in cinema, it's pretty awesome just watching him "react" now. Like a bonus movie within a movie.
As for the footage, I guess it's all fine. Even so, I'm sitting in the back row when I see this film in 3D, however now I might just watch it in 2D just to see his reaction to that ha ha ha. Even so, I made the mistake of sitting too close for ROTF, and my eyes paid for it. It was close to Cloverfeild levels of dizziness. I can only imagine what my eyes will do if all those XCU's are in 3D
Only problem I see is for cinemas without digital projectors. Even the most high quality 3D pics can go off with digital projectors, problems get higher with traditional projectors (Shout out to my bud at the theatres) and if there are any sort of problems Mickey can't see on his awesome waaaayyyy too expensive digital monitors and home entertainment system...they will be amplified to ungodly levels once it hits the mainstream media. Hopefully, for his sake I hope he's right, cause thats an aweful lot of work just for it to go apesh!t.
