Kabaiya puts gum in their kits so they can be sold in Japanese grocery stores as "candy toys". Without it they're just toys and aren't allowed to be sold around food. Other companies include pressed sugar candy similar to Bottle Caps (appropriate because I'm pretty sure they're supposed to be ramune flavored).

Docking and pegging? I've already pre-ordered my Bravern figures and kits!

Re: Devastator

I find myself making comparisons to Marvel Legends very often with the direction the Transformers line has taken.

Toybiz made some really incredible stuff...for its time. They did some figures in a way and style that were at the time, the best thing going. In some ways, they fit in with the style of the current Hasbro offerings simply because they were pretty good, almost like a 3P transformer. Those older toys fit in more because they take up the position and not because the match the current "house style."

Now when Hasbro comes around and remakes the figure, it's definitely in the current "house style" and may be comparatively lacking when put against an older Toybiz version. You could definitely stick to the older toy, but it's no longer the best fit for the line-wide style.

That is where I see this Devastator. The Unite Warriors Devastator was interesting. I always had to justify it being as big as it was. To me though, it's no more "Best Fitting" than any of the various 3P Devastators.

The Studio one is being designed to be a part of the line and that is where I find that it properly strikes its place in my collection.

For me CW or UW Devy only really looks good with Omega and the Dinobots, and maybe MPs, outside of that he is just much too large and always has been.
