I think he will be availible to preorder in September. He might end up costing $70-80. He will be a Wal-Mart exclusive, and you can probably also preorder him online at their website when he becomes availible for preorder. He will probably cost more on E-bay, possibly due to the large demand there will be from overseas buyers.

The price for it isn't $49.99 or $79.99...

The price is actually $59.97 (yes $0.3 less since that is how Wal-Mart does their "low prices") and if you don't believe me, look for the articles in the news archives and you will find that information.

I don't think it's expensive, if I bought MP-04 for $180, I can buy this

80 bucks or less is a steal compared to the friggin wrong colored MP 03.

I also like that they're calling it a MASTERPIECE.

I am disappointed, the colours are way off from the animated version. Pass.

Off color?? It looks pretty damn accurate to me, and it's stated as a product sample.

That is true, but Myer only got in a few Primes per store, and from Memory Target only got 1-2 20th Primes in as well.
Magnus didn't sell well either, but apparently they were happy enough with his sale numbers.

Havent seen any larger Transformers in Target since though, I think they might be done with the larger exclusives. No-one knows what Myer will do anymore, they have gone a bit odd since the takeover. So I'm hedging my bets on TRU

For everyone complaining about the price for this, have you checked on the prices for the Takara Masterpiece's? $60 shouldn't look so bad now.

As for me, I'll be there with bells on when it's released. So you should be able to hear me coming!

I'll be right with you. I'll probably pick upa few of them so that I can do some repaints. I'm thinking like 4 of em.

This looks pretty awesome, just wish they did away with the 'battle damage'.

The colours, some may not like the cartooish look to it, i can now understand why they made takara MP starscream in the colour he is.

Is this really going to be called Masterpiece Starscream? I thought it would be more along the lines of 20th DVD anniversary prime, which is a far inferior product to the masterpiece, hence the omission of the masterpiece name. The packaging also is very similar to the 20th DVD prime.

I wonder if he will come with a talking stand or megatron gun, that crazy doctor or even the leadership crown from the movie.


Oh let's hope they dont shorten the missiles! 'they look like they can poke a kids eye's out!' lol

actually looking at the back of the box again, does anyone think the missles are shorter in the pictures than on the product itself? hard to tell.
