Side note SMyths now also have all the RiD deluxes plus sideswipe and the underbite 1 steps in as well as the bigger voyagery size RiD. Literally tons of them too, very few AoE figures left at all

The Smyths stores in my area have yet to get the memo. Went to the Goodmayes one (near Romford in Essex) this morning and not a single CW figure to be seen. A handful of RiD figures (small ones, didn't pay attention) but the entire aisle devoted to TF was still full of AoE toys.
I've just got back from the Beckton store and even though the TF section is just as small there's a bit more variety, but still predominantly AoE stuff. Saw a few more RiD figures, including the new Grimlock who looks quite a big boy!
As for the CW stuff - not too much, they had 2 Silverbolts and 1 of each Legends and 1 of each Deluxe, bar Drag Strip. I picked up Silverbolt and was going to initially get Powerglide, but couldn't resist Bombshell in the end. Must have done a bit of mind control on me! I'll be back for Powerglide, Windcharger and the other Aerialbots after Christmas when they've hopefully got more stock.

At the risk of going a little off topic (sorry Va'al) most people are theorising that Hasbro thought a wave full of jets would be a difficult sell, as there's a lack of variety. So instead we got 1 helicopter, 2 jets and an F1 car.
I might also wager that perhaps they figured if they left the combiner "unfinished" it might persuade both customers and retailers to come back for round 2

Unless I'm mistaken it's a little grey and orange turtle Arms Micron- I believe it's one of the ones that was sold individually rather than with a figure, but it's name escapes me
Correctly assessed sir. And for reference its Dado-2
Aha! Very clever use of it actually

A couple of the modes don't really work so well, but that's a given considering you're cramming in that many alt modes. Never had the original release Hexatron so I've had a lot of fun with him this morning/afternoon.
Robot mode and starfighter mode are just brilliant. Well worth the money, and he's towering over my Voyager/Deluxe figures right now like the beast of a war machine that he is.

In other news, in an actual news way - Toys R Us had nothing exceptional as you would imagine, Did snag a Deluxe AoE Drift as I was semi interested and he was only £7.99. No MPs though, would have got a Sunstorm if there was.
What was interesting though was they had a bunch of Prime Optimus's and Predaking Voyagers and amongst them were 3 (yes 3!) Voyager Beast Hunters Shockwaves!!!! First time I have seen him at UK retail. I think it is US packaging (Hub and IDW advertising). They were £14.99. I picked one up for some reasons even though I already have him... But yeah it appears that like Skyquake last year, the missing Prime Voyager is finally appearing in cases. I took a pic but its not that exciting so I wont bother positing it lol

All of the wave are there on pre-order. I think I am going to wait to see if they make it to UK shops as they are a tad dear for me this time: £17.99 x 5, £29.99, £12.99 (don't want Huffer) would cost me £114.94 ouch!
Christmas haul for me though, from various recent purchases:

Looking forward to opening and displaying these, have completed my CHUG 1984 Autobots and 1 off my 1984 Decepticons (No Soundblaster, so no Buzzsaw).

Just been to Smyths Toy Store in Milton Keynes which was nice. Found all the first wave Combined Wars figures except Legends Powerglide and Bombshell, but as I don't collect that scale no loss!
No more shopping for me now until end of January!!
PM ME PLEASE!-

Let's have a survey of UK Seibertronian's professions (and no HAWOOO! HAWOO!! I'll have no Gerard Butler moments).

It's safe to assume that I'm just taking the piss.

I don't have a huge amount of free cash (married with children)... hence loving the combiner wars and not having to purchase the 3rd party combiners. No matter how awesome, 3rd party toys are too expensive for me.
Just pick my purchases carefully

I don't think he looks as good as Superion either, but a CHUG combiner is a must for me. Combination mechanism is really sturdy and joint ratchets are great, so am looking forward to hopefully a few more combiners after these two
The prime combiner looks daft with the open chest compartment:

Looks like it doesnt need to be open and the addition of the legend figure BlackJack to the chest seems to make it a bit bulkier, which could help on Menasor:
