Incidently, what real gears are worth picking up? It would be daft of me to go over to TRU just for Soundwave, and as he's an objectformer, I figure I might as well pick up another one or two.
Arrr!

I dunno why your KO RM Prime has two holes, mine has a red button and a red LED where your holes are...
Also, I haven't head nor hide of Classics Soundwave since the original sightings. Hopefully they're just being hidden out back till someone buys the crap on the shelves.

I'm determined not to buy them. I have enough transformers to buy as it is.
But if they go cheap or on clearance, they'll make terrific stocking fillers for christmas.
They do look rather cool....

Interesting fact. Doughbot bout a consignment of the US release of C Excellion when he first came out in the states, which many of us ODBers of the time took advantage of. He was deffinutly a US release, beciase there was not even a mention of him coiming out in the UK yet (has he come out at all? Im not sure). BUT he still had the Hasbro UK address on him. Very odd eh?
Insurgent wrote:Arr, browsing through the galleries, I've decided I'll pick up Spyshot and Zoom Out (camera and digital videocamera) if I see them.
Spyshot is out, Zoom out isnt. Of the 4 out (Spyshot, longview (binoculars), the handheld game one and the mobile phone one) Longview is by far the best. The game one isnt bad, and even has automorph, but has HUGE legs, the phone one is rather fun, but suffers from increadly easy to pull off legs, and spyshot is looks a little lop sided. Still WELL worth buying.
Insurgent wrote:£7ish eh?Not to bad. It's so Soundwave will have some other objects to sit beside in alt mode as he will look out of place with the vehicles and beasts. Sure, I could plonk him beside real objects, but where would be the fun in that?
Odd one out?

Plus, you might lose Soundwave that way
That's funny. All I could find towards the end of Cybertron was Soundwave, Nemisis Breaker and Excilion. I didn't like the look of him though, and I don't just buy random repaints anymore. There's not enough moolah to do that.

Coz i took out the LED and button...they annoyed me.
Romford Wilko's doesnt have any Classics, they did have an empty shelf marked for them, also i read in another thread that they apparently have most of wave 2 and Astrotrain in some stores for £7.99 each...dammit...Astrotrain was the only Classic i really really wanted

Dave
I didn't even think about looking in Wilkos. I assumed they would have KO's.
Anyway i FINALLY got movie Starscream this week after months of searching my local area. Now i'm on the hunt for the rest of the classics that i don't have (Astrotrain, Prowl & Thrust) and also ANOTHER Magnus and Skywarp 2-Pack. When i brought my first one, woolies had loads in stock...now nadda!

I am new here and am definitely a Disgruntled Brit!!
Starting collecting the TF toys again (after 20 years off) after this summer's movie and have a fair selection of deluxes (BB 74, Jazz, Barricade, Brawl, Scorponok & Wreckage) and voyagers (SS, Ratchet, Blackout & Ironhide) and Leader OP... so thats pretty much that until the next lot appear!
Now I've found how cool alternators are and am looking to increase my collection without bankrupting myself!
Argos was useful for Wheeljack, Ravage and OP.
Woolworths provided me with Swindle
Anyone know of any good shops that still sell them for reasonable prices (max £20 would be nice) before I have to resort to extortionists on ebay?
Woolworths website is awful and seems to hint at other alts - anyone seen any recently in theirs and can let me know what they stock/stocked?
Cheers,
Andy

Wilko's - Nada, nothing TF wise. There was a nice Remote Control Zoidzilla KO for a tenner but not nice enough to warrant considering a purchase.
Woolworth's - full of cyberslammers, basic movie legends, rig blasters and helemts, only 2 bumblebee and 1 starscream in the classics and 3" titanium Rodimus & Galvatron.
Poundstretcher - some interesting stuff but not TF (megaman figures and some great Jedi Heroes figures I might go back so for mini-collider)
Poundland - Zip.
Conclusions - today was not worth the price of parking. I should have picked up Classics Starscream.
Antidote - bought Classic Megatron KO on ebay and will be giving it a G1 colours overhaul. Finally got to see the movie and had the cinema to myself. Ah, life is OK now.

Don't suppose that you ever have a look in City Cyber Anime while you're in Leeds? They're overpriced (no prices on anything, they just size you up and give you a price a percentage over current value) but they do often have a surprising amount of HTF Japanese items.
