im spending most my time getting 100% completion on the transformers the movie game, (man the energon cubes are hard to find lol) ive been off work for ages injured so bored dont even describe how bad it is lol.

Ouch, injury's must suck, I'm lucky, I get lot's and lot's of minor damage but nothing major, yet...If I did I would go mental though, I get bored very, very fast.

I have no time to play any games anymore :-(

ive only just started getting back into transformers so its kinda good that i can build up a list of what i wanna look for, but the bordem is poop, and i cant drive anywhere because driving hurts, so getting hold of stuff is hard......ie Spotlight blaster lol

HMW keeps me going when I've got uni work to do - without it I have no motivation for doing my work. And when I've got so much time off its just pointless getting up.

maybe the lack of numbers is due to the lack of TFs on sale, now that movie hype has died down, there isnt much till animated...

thats why i havent posted much, havent got a new TF since xmas

my "spotlight Blaster" came in the post this morning. WOOT!!!!! For my first transformer comic, i was really impressed, wished it was longer but i can survive with the length. proper impressed, might start looking for some back issues. any suggestions on good ones????

Ultra Magnus, Kup, Sixshot and Shockwave were my favourites. But to be honest, you want all of the Spotlight comic books. While short (only one story, what can you expect?), the art is truly amazing, and they are all great reads.

I also recommend Megatron Origins.

just about all the idw stuff really, all the spotlights tie into infiltraion, escalation and devastation somehow/eventaully.

same goes for stormbringer, fortunatly (or unfortunatly depending on how you feel about them) you should be able to get most of these story arcs as trade paperbacks

well i'll get all the spotlights (really looking forward to grimlock, from what ive heard he's far better in the comics than in the cartoon, so it should be really good) i was wondering about the devastation stories, might see if i cant trace some of them down, gutted about the war within series though, from what id heard (and seen from that little cartoon/film that was made) it was looking really good

Indeed.

Megatron Origins looks to me like it takes place just before the War Within series. I mean, they all share the same alt modes (in each comic series). And Origins ends with the death of Sentinel- pretty much clearing the way for the ascension of Optronix to leadership.

But yeah, I'd get what you can of War Within. It looks a great series.

Anyone managed to track down the collector's club images of the first five universe figures yet? I'm not having much luck this time.

If you're gonna read Devastation then you really need to read Infiltration and Escalation first, there's stuff in Dev that you might not get unless you've read them. All the Spotlights are brilliant - Ramjet and Soundwave are my favourites so far.

MB, I didn't know they had images of all the other figs - where'd you find that out?

i spent an hour or two this morning, but couldnt find anything, its pretty shoddy that we aint allowed to look in the uk even though with all the p&p it would cost a friggin fortune to join the club grrrrrrr.

as for Megatrons Origins, its advertised in blaster, was considering it greatly, and i meant those two as well as devastation.

Ah OK.

Apparently the TPB of Megatron Origins is better than the individual comics so go for that. The original colours in the individual ones were far too dark for me (and many others) to be able to see clearly what was going on. This has been (apparently) sorted in the TPB.

You been the collection hard(ish)back of Origins? Yeah, great quality. Haven't seen the original single-pieces, but the collection book is rather splendid indeed.

Yeah, the collection of Origins is what I was on about. The original comics were as if someone had coloured it them put black all over, that's what ruined it for me. :-(
