sunstreaker heh, will have to do some hunting online when i get the time on sat, i was mixed about the prosal given in the concept sketch!

Yeah, I know, the last hour or so of searching has finally paid off and I've seen it. It's a bit "meh" for me, the head doesn't scream sunstreaker at me and the body looks a little bland (could do with some more black on the arms and legs)

They say classics 2 (universe) will get a retail release? is that the same for here in the UK?

Did classics one get a retail release because the only places i saw them at where forbidden planet and amazon, is this wht they mean by retail release?

AFAIK, retail release means seeing them in real shops. I saw Classics 1 in:
Toys R Us
Argos
Tesco
Woolworths
Wilkinsons

The thread I started in the toys forum (linked on one of the last couple of pages) has a link to a story of TFW2005.com showing that classics 2.0 has a potential retail release of 9th May here in the UK

Did some browsing today.

Woolies in Oldham had nothing new.
Poundland in Oldham has 3 varieties of KOs: Constructicon; mini-brimstone & legends; and oversized Cybertron legends (OP, Soundwave, Vector Prime and Thundercracker, in different colour schemes).
The indoor market's toy stall had 1 of the KO Onslaught/Hotspot hybrid KOs.

Shaw Woolies had something new: Wave 2 TECH (the flashlight & video camera). Amusingly, the camcorder has the original colour scheme intended for Armada Laserbeak, or close to it at least.

It is out, I bought it yesterday from my local comic shop. One of my favourite comics, mind you I've mainly bought the Beast Wars which I hear isn't a high point of IDW.

You wont be able to get it at Smiths - you need to go to a shop that sells American comics (not our style of comics). The 2 big companies in the UK that I know of are Forbidden Planet and Travelling Man (where I get mine from) but there may be a small independent supplier near you (for example there is a small shop in Harrogate called Destination Venus and it only has 1 branch)

we have a forbidden planet in wolverhampton, but its still a way away from me (in telford lol) i just bought one from http://www.oneshallstand.com/index.html might order a few back issues, was hoping to buy all the "war within" comics from there too, but ill survive lol. Doesnt surprise me about the comic not being widely sold, its hard enough to find the figures around here :-(

btw, has there been any images of the classics 2.0 line???? ive looked but cant find any

As did I, but unfortunately he's not growing on me. I'll still be getting him but until I actually see him in the flesh he's in the "meh" pile.

Three offers receive now. I go to Sheffield on the 19th, Liverpool on the 9th, and Birmingham on the 4th of March.

The one thing I don't like about is that he looks to have hollow legs. How poor is that? And he should definetly have clear plastic windows.

Other than that, he's still good.

Nothing new this week. Just trying to save to buy Classics Cliffjumper and Takara Grimlock.

Then it's just alternators till my birthday.

The missus just bought me a reissue Prowl from Toys r us yay. Never had prowl when i was a nipper, glad i got him now though, he's cool

You will not find an Alternator hot rod in brick and morter stores in the UK. The best you can hope for is the Internet, E-bay or an online retailer (Perhaps Forbidden Planet). Hot Rod like most Altinators never has had a UK release. There is only the US version or the Japanese BT version.
