Blaster:

I must have bought off him in the past as he's down as a fav seller of mine. Although I couldn't tell ya what it was, ya see I got a bit carried away with the whole eBay thing when I first started collecting again.(after a 15 year gap!!) :D
Spent a bloody fortune in the first year or so.
My bit of advice for eBay is that it can be quite addictive, so keep a check on yourself and your total spend. Remember that the total in "My eBay" does not include the postage paid, so the real figure is quite a bit higher!

I had the same problem myself - wanting to have a full collection of G1 Autobots (only those that appeared in seasons 1 and 2 mind) and a lack of patience, coupled with the excitement when your item arrives did not do my bank any good at all.

Morale of the story - if you can get to a car boot sale (when its not raining) try there before eBay - its amazing what you can pick up for £1.

My fellow Brits, I bring news to remove our disgruntlement for the near future.

Want to know what it is?

I direct you to the toys forum if you haven't already seen it:

Yeah, true.
But they don't hold car boot sales in my lounge at a decent hour of the day!!
Unfortunately I live the oposite side of town to the nearest car boot, would have to get a couple of buses and don't like to get up before midday if I'm off work! I-)

Just found this at TFW2005
http://www.tfw2005.com/boards/showthread.php?t=163943

Apparently animated toys are set for release on 4th April and Classics 2.0 set for release on 9th May. If this is true then it looks like they'll be out soon
(assuming us Brits will be getting them after somewhere else in the world)

That's a big assumption going by past experiences!! :-?

By that I meant that they'll be out soon in America, due to the tradition of us getting things after them.

Looks like I was being pessimistic with my last post!

http://www.tfw2005.com/boards/showthread.php?t=163943

Animated and Classics 2.0 UK release dates

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Just had an email from my toy shop's wholesalers saying that Animated Deluxe, Voyagers and the 2-pack are to be released (in the UK at least) on 4th April 2008. The price list also mentions leader class Bulkhead and Megatron - not sure if we've heard of these before???

Universe (aka Classics 2.0) deluxes are listed as having a release date of 9th May (just after my birthday, YAY!). Ultras and Voyagers are down as release date TBC.

Nah - other than most of the fandom, who cares about US release dates. The most important ones are when they get released over here

Today's lesson - always click on links provided in posts.
So now you know - and knowing is half the battle

Universe supposedly comes out in May, its animated that comes out in April. There wont be any galleries of the toys yet cos no-one has a figure to take photos of. The only way to look at the Universe Sunstreaker (at the moment) is to join the Transformers Collectors Club.

Universe is the official name for Classics 2.0 - They will be deluxe and ultras.

Yeah, I know, the last hour or so of searching has finally paid off and I've seen it. It's a bit "meh" for me, the head doesn't scream sunstreaker at me and the body looks a little bland (could do with some more black on the arms and legs)

Yeah, I was reading it before I went off to lectures this morning. It's like the Botcon seekers last year, those who are privileged enough to see the images don't like the fact that those who aren't privileged enough to see them are complaining, while those who can't see them feel like they're being left out of the discussion (which to a certain extent they are) and the only solution those who can access the club forums can come up with is to say "join the club, then you'll see them"

I think he looks ok - not as good as the concept sketch (although that was the sideswipe transformation) better that his Alternator version though. It would have helped if the photographer had got the arms right and posed him better.
