I was one upgrade away from Level 3. =( Lol. Sucks.

But the reset has been fairer all round for us new players I think, and makes the grand scheme of things much more interesting for all players.

If anything it's a bit unfair to those who havn't played at the lower levels in 3+ years and are too used to being able to throw xp at any percieved shortcoming. I've been working to a cookie cutter set of builds for lower level play based on the mechanics of the game and the understanding of a level playing field (no higher levels) to maximise xp returns from minimal xp investment. Oh, and playing all day long as well, that helps too.

Only figure that was a surprise was the Legends Rod, but it might just be that I've missed the name previously whilst being dazzled at getting a new Beachcomber, Warpath, Cosmos, Wheelie... Yeah I must have read Wheelie and just blanked out Rod as another sucky third season character... Or he's not been mentioned before, or something.

Whereas I'd heard about Rod but not Wheelie. I'm pretty much gonna be picking up all the legends figures (except Ani Starscream as it suck in comparison to the wonderful Activators version)

Just Wheelie, Rod & Warpath I'm looking forward to seeing there.

My days of level 5 HMW playing are long gone, I just can't give it the time I used to.

best grinding build is a mix of speed and avoid, the 50xp & 50 energon per avoid really helps in levels 0-2, then when you get to mid level 3 strafe & courage mix is the key, you'll need to invest a bit in firepower as well though and you need plenty of opposition to get the best out of that build too.

Essentially, until you get to level 2, your priorities should be avoid and speed

Good advice, but the combination of strength and ram is just as good so don't think you need only alts with avoid (ones with avoid and ram are new I think, but are a welcome addition to my team)

Yep, that chopper rocks, one of the most underated of the Animated line.

I play con, always have, always will.

As of about this time yesterday there are more bots than cons in the game (can't be bothered to get an up to date figure) we just play harder.

The pound is still pretty strong, but in this ever changing world waiting for something to get cheaper before buying it can often lead to nothing but price rises or even you not being able to get it at all.

I find it's always best to bite the bullet and purchase early. Life's too short to fret over the pennies.

Can anyone convince me on buying Universe Onslaught? I've looked at him in stores on three seperate occasions, and I never find myself really wanting him. So is there something I'm missing that would make me really want him?

I really like Powerglide. But Onslaught... why does a toy that size require such a huge box? And the sound effects I tried through the "TRY ME" window were ****. What's the point of a siren sound that lasts about half a second? Is that supposed to represent him thinking he's in a hurry, then changing his mind?

Other than masterpieces I think he's the best looking Decep on my shelf - a real brute, and he poses quite well.

So, in short you're missing the fact that he's awesome!

*edit* I would like to swap his sound effects for the ability to leave his glowing visor switched on though.

Sledge, I haven't seen the actual figure, but from the pictures I've seen and reviews I've read I think he's cool but expensive for what he is. Onslaught is my favourite G1 Decepticon and this version does look good but In my honest opinion I think all you're missing is a half-price sticker.

Yeah. He doesn't look bad I guess, just not £25 worth of good. And I rarely find figures with light/sound gimmicks worth the cash.
