yeh was gonna see the inception today, but i was out last nite so, i'm still recovering, going on orange wednesday so should be gud

as for drift he should be ok, wave 1 is usually ok, i reckon argos or tescos/sainsburys will get them at some point, i'd be really suprised if they dont get it

wait till the 24th and see wht the argos catalogue brings us

With Hasbro's fantastic UK distribution it normally goes:

Wave 1; overstocked everywhere and eventually shelfwarming, except for the one that you were holding out on and suddenly can't find anywhere,

Waves 2 and 3; start filtering down a few months in, but check different retailers as whoever overordered most of wave 1 will end up carrying wave 3 and the stores that got it right will have wave 2, very few retailers will end up putting both on their shelves,

Wave 4; we either don't get at all or is another case of overstock everywhere, generally the latter when it's a movie line,

Anything beyond that; bite the bullet and order the suckers, not likely to hit bricks and mortar stores on these shores.

Basicly don't panic about the first few waves, it's only when a line starts winding down that we get trouble with main line figures. Store exclusives are still pretty hit or miss over here though.

If Drift's an indication of things to come, the 2010/11 range is gonna be truly awesome. He really is a thing of beauty. Excellent articulation, great detailing, RotF Ravage-like centre-of-balance... I could go on, but I'll let some pictures do the talking for a bit:



In the next picture, note the ball-jointed shoulders, double-hinged elbow, bicep-swivel and ball-jointed wrists for a huge range of movement in the arms (there's a similar range on the legs, ball-jointed hips, swivel in the upper leg and a regular knee-joint):

His excellent balance allows him to pull off some awesome poses (demonstrated perfectly with RotF Bludgeon):




I only have one slight niggle, and one that I'm not alone in noticing: His vehicle mode seems slightly over-sized in comparison to other deluxes (Animated Blurr & Jazz to demonstrate):



Overall, if it's a scale issue that's the only thing I can even begin to think of to criticise with this figure, I think Hasbro have definitely nailed this one.

Also when are the UK getting Power Core Combiners, and will it be the usual suspects (online, Argos, Toys R Us) who'll get them?

Also I'm in London next weekend, do Forbidden Planet usually have good stuff/reasonable price.

i usually just go to bbts and check the waves, because they sell them in waves aswell as separately

as for powercore combiners? dunno? this stuff isn't due till end of summer/autumn

Hey everyone, I just ordered a Takara ROTF Bludgeon from Kapow, I've always liked the look of him but I held of on him, is he an alright figure? Because he certainly looks it

I also find it funny that the Takara Bludgeon is £25 while the Hasbro one is nearly £30 on Kapow

Also Drift came about 2 weeks back, excellent figure, I love it so, his weapons are abit lose in his sheaths and hands but a little bit of clear nail vanish soon sorts that out

I wouldn't know, it's my first time ordering from Kapow, but I do know that on my Bludgeon it said it should arrive to me in 2-5 working days. Hope that helps
