Turn it into Blurr.
I'll be happy and I will never complain about Transformers ever again.

Really, why would they make Universe Smokescreen's taillights YELLOW? It doesn't even make sense. I guess because the car is also red, but Takara managed to do it right...which is exactly CP's point. If all these toys are made in the same factories, for essentially the same cost, why are the Hasbro ones inferior to the Takara ones? It's gotta be laziness, or indifference. "The kids won't care." It's weird. We know Hasbro gives us collectors a lot of what we want, heck, there's probably a lot of stuff that wouldn't exist if they hadn't been listening, but they still somehow make mistakes that would've been so easy to get right.
For the record, my Henkei Skywarp is a little loose too...not as bad as Thundercracker, but still.
And I'm not pleased with a good portion of the Henkei chrome placement. At best, it's great, Convoy being probably the best example. Some, I'm indifferent (Astrotrain, Hot Rod). Some, it's just plain ridiculous (seekers, Galvatron). Overall, it would probably be best without, but it's a minor flaw for overall superior figures.

The chrome does look really sweet on Prime's grill.

Rattrap would be great, but not if he's a full size deluxe. Doing scout/basic sized could be pretty interesting, there's a few others they could do. Wheelie, Botanica, Terrorsaur other little things.
Really, I'd rather see a two-pack. They could do rattrap smaller than a deluxe and pack with rhinox, who would be bigger than a deluxe. You can have my 21 dollars.

In theory a headmaster fig should be easy to design. You don't have to figure out where the head will go in vehicle mode
Of course to be even remotely close to in scale with the body, a headmaster should be no smaller than a voyager class fig.

Classics/Classics 2.0/Universe is one of my favorite line... ever, so seeing it continue would be great. Here's a short list of stuff I'd like to see... maybe not whaT can be done, but what I'd like to see.
1. The 1984/85 line finished. Jazz, Trailbreaker, Tracks, Soundwave with Cassettes, proper Constructicon/Aerialbot/Combaticon gestalts and not the Energon abominations. The Insecticons, Whirl, Roadbuster...
2. Aww, hell. As much G1/G2 as possible.
3. More War Within molds.
4. Human two-packs, like the GI Joe/Star Wars ones. Spike and Sparkplug, Karly and Chip Chase, Archeville and... I dunno, Lord Chumeley? Marissa Faireborn would come by herself, since she is made of concentrated win and awesome. Epps and Lennox, Sam and Mikaela, Fig and Donnelly. Trick them out with accessories. A comic book, too.
5. Updated RiD figures. The Autobot brothers would be sweet.

universe characters you want to see.

1. G1 Jazz, CANNOT STRESS ENOUGH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
2. G1 Wheeljack
3. G1 Soundwave(with lazerbeak)
4. Any G1 Dinobot (Slag, Sludge, Swoop, Snarl)
5. G1 Blitzwing
Some G2 characters like blurr, kup, and arcee wouldn't hurt either.
p.s. only in deluxe (NO LEGENDS CRAP!)

10. G2 Cyberjets - People forget about these guys, but they're basically the first poseable transformers
9. Victory Leo - Great JPN character that deserves some kind of recognition here in the states.
8. Beast Machines Botanica - She was a major character in the show, yet never even got a toy!
7. Beast Wars Rattrap - Cool character, and I think he deserves to be made into a Deluxe
6. G1 Apeface - Lets get some headmasters in the Classics line! Plus, he's a triple changer!
5. G1 Snapdragon - Same as Apeface above.
4. G2 LaserRods - Again, these were some awesome figures that set the bar for TF Poesability.
3. Beast Machines Silverbolt - Look at his toy...seriously. This guy NEEDS a makeover.
2. Armada Starscream - The toy had so much promise, but the designers went WAY overboard on the sound gimmick. He had a backpack that looked like a damn launching pad and he had all but no poseability.
1. RID Ultra Magnus - Pretty random, I know. I'd just like to see him be a stand alone figure. I think he could have been a truly awesome toy if he wasn't solely designed to be armor for RID Prime.

Umm, those are NOT "G2" figures. They're third season G1. G1 itself continued on for some years after the TF Animated Movie, and was comprised mostly (initially) of repaints of G1 figures, followed by original mold figures such as Laser Optimus Prime.

Do we feel we are really out of luck because they did Thundercracker/Ramjet/Thrust as the Botcon exclusives in 2007? Obviously they have gotten a lot of mileage out of the starscream mold, but the cone heads mold really saw very little use, being it was just that one release in the states, 2 botcon exclusives and the 3 Henkei's in Japan.
Lately I have been pondering actually going after the set of all 6 henkei seekers, but man that will be expensive, and I am a bigger autobot fan than con's anyway, seems like a waste.

Good luck, I've been after that for a long time now on ebay, only to get sniped in the last ten seconds of the auction. My latest attempt: Henkai Dirge. My max bid -- $65, the winning bid -- $69.01
Even if Hasbro would just make a new mold, significantly different from the Botcon and Henkai releases, it would at least give some of us a shot at some form of a complete set.
There have been many times that I have just wanted to give up. Thundercracker I can repaint from an extra Acid Storm I have, but Thrusts and Dirge have their specific wing designs and I'm not that great of a kitbasher.
The soon to be released Dirge in the ROTF line does nothing for me, so that isn't even an option in my mind. I might just buy a few extra Breakaways or Thrusts to turn into Dirge and Ramjet, but I'd rather have something that looked closer to the Classics/Universe line.

Maybe a fresh new Hot Rod or a new Rodimus Prime figure would be nice too! Too be real about it, we wish hasbro could do everything we want, but the only thing we can do is wait and see, which that's the aggravating part...

Counterpunch wrote:So, compared to what the Japanese got with the Henkei releases for Ironhide, Ratchet, Hot Shot, Dinobot, Hound, and Smokescreen you were satisfied?
Maybe it's just me. I bought one of each because I'm compulsive, but the differences with side-by-side comparisons are drastic.
I was pretty disappointed with many of the U.S. deco choices. I purchased the Henkei versions of all the figures you mentioned except for Dinobot and Hot Shot; I only bought Hot Shot at all because of the "Jaam" license tag.
I try to buy doubles of all my 'bots so I can display them in both modes on the shelf, and I'm pretty cheesed off at how much getting a dupe of the Henkei figures I didn't already get a double of is going to end up running me in the end....
As far as what I'd like to see in Classics 3.0:
Autobots: Jazz, Trailbreaker, Hoist, a U.S. release of Red Alert and some Leader-sized riff on Powermaster Prime (with a cab that combines with the trailer for a super mode, if anyone other than FansProject knows how to do this anymore)
Decepticons: an [at least] Ultra-sized Galvatron, Shockwave, Soundwave & Scourge (G1)
I'm officially sick of deluxe-class seekers. I'd rather see them redo Starscream & company as at least Voyagers, or better yet just skip them and retool the Masterpiece Starscream mold for the three coneheads.
In general, I'd like to see Decepticons that have huge alt modes come as larger-sized-class figures. Can you imagine how awesome Octane, erm, I mean Tankor could have been as an Ultra? There are plenty of Decepticon candidates for being made into Deluxes with cars as alt-modes. A proper Wildrider, Dead End and Breakdown/Brakedown anyone?
