As everyone knows by now, Leonard Nimoy voices Sentinel Prime in Dark of the Moon. Here is the legendary Leonard Nimoy interviewed at the Dallas Comic Con. Listen to him talk about how he got the Sentinel Prime gig.

At least it was shorter.

I still like those movies though.

You can bash this movie before it comes out all you want, but you cannot bash Leonard Nimoy. I'm not even a Trekkie, but he is awesome.

Best thing about Star Trek Online back when I played the beta. He voice acted as the character of Spock during the opening narration and a time travel mission.
I'm not a "Trekkie" by any stretch of the term but I do likes me some Star Trek.

Sentinel Prime should have been Ultra Magnus for the movie. I hope they pull a Brawl/Devastator name switch for the movie.
As for Nimoy, He is an Icon so I give him his respect. Even though I always hated Star Trek. The original series was nothing more than a low budget show where spaceships sported plush carpets and flower pots and aliens were humans with green face paint and fake ears. I never watched any of the modern versions because we have Star Wars when I'm in the mood for a sci-fi flick with real special effects.

I don't like how they have CG in 70s trek now... makes it so much less tangible (you know what I mean)
Star Trek: Paved the way. Made use of cheesy dialogue and wierd acid-trip stories. I watch it for entertainment, not realism.
Next Gen: I really don't need to defend next gen, it speaks for itself.
Voyager and DS9: Eh, hit or miss, least it adds to the lore in a fairly dece way most of the time.
Star Wars: Empire Strikes Back.
The rest I have lost interest in save A new hope and most of ROTJ (until ewoks win against stormtroopers

Either way, don't know how you could compare a TV show with a series of movies... unless you include the star wars books i guess, which I've heard are cool.

Have to agree, you can't compare any show with the associated movies. As cool as the Firefly series was, the Serenity movie took every episode and blew them out of the water and it's the same with the Trek movies. Even if they do the talked about upcoming SW show it still won't compare to the movies. The only way they could get close would be to base them off some of the expanded SW universe books done in 2 book or trilogy formats. Any of the books done by Tim Zahn would be good show fodder (Yes, I'm a Transformers, Trek AND Star Wars geek. I'm rarely lacking for entertainment)
As for those thinking that Sentinel should have been Ultra Magnus, I'm saying they made a better choice with using Sentinel considering how events are going to go in this film. Magnus doing what Sentinel winds up doing in this film...it just doesn't fit 25 years worth of what we have come to know and love about UM and hundreds of thousands of fans the world over would be seriously pissed off, myself included. No, let's leave Magnus out of TF3 and let Sentinel catch hell in this film.
Regardless of the character though, having Nimoy on deck to voice act in this film is awesome. I can't wait to hear what kind of job he does with Sentinel. I'll probably get chills.

Not really, but if I want the 60's I got a Cheech and Chong disc. LikeI said before the biggest turn off on the original star trek for me was the carpets, plants, and flower pots on the damn spaceship. That was just plain wack. With the exception of the control room, the rest of the Enterprise looked like some rich sultans palace in the middle east.
