I know this goes against the rules of not being able to modify your bot while in the CR Chamber but it is an interesting thought.

Maybe this has been thought about already but here goes anyway. What about a minicon that you could equip while you were in the CR Chamber that would decrease the amount of time it took to repair your bot? It could be a one use deal so after your bot was repaired, the minicon would (for lack of a better term) die.

You could call him Life Flight for instance. So what do you think?

It could add a small bit to intel or be a repair minicon?
It would die pretty quick unless you deployed it really carefully, but if the minion eating it survived, it could reduce his CR time.
Nice idea, cant imagine it happening though.

We could do it that way. Probably does make more sense.Tammuz wrote:wouldn't it make more sense for it to cut repair in half if you aren't slagged? make it more than just a single mission use minicon.

well it makes it more in line with how the rest od the minicons work, where it only cuts CR time when your slagged with it, it's effectively a one off, as the only time you get the effect of the minicon is after the battle where it's destroyed,

So if we were to survive a missoon then the minicon would help repair us in half the time?
Awesome stuff.

well maybe not half the time, maybe they'll be a gradient of time decreases in proprotion to the cost of the minicon?

depends on whether there will be differents level of minicons, like the 2 different speed ones or just the one that cuts all times.
Shame there isnt a realistic way to do one for armour install times.

Pie-in-the-sky thinking here but what about a minicon 'leash' for Kremzeek - Reduces damage to self and own faction from your Kremzeek.

Interesting thought though Supercollider; doesnt the Deflector minicon reduce the damage that Kremzeek does when it bites you?

Mostly I was thinking around to idea that minicons didn't necessarily have to just be stats/armour boosts and found that idea amusing.
"Kremzeek tries to turn on Couldstrafer but is stopped by Leash." complete with an icon of an unhappy Kremzeek.

I was wondering if its possible to make a section in the CR chamber for minicons. Lets say it costs half the price of the minicon, but can only be healed a certain amount of times like 2 or 3.

Finally hit 500!

My original thought was that you would equip the minicon while you were in the CR Chamber but I like where this is going. Even if you had it equipped during the battle, it would be great to have a minicon that got you back into the game quicker rather than just helping you in the battle itself. Variety is the spice of life!

I still like the idea of your team's repairers reducing the CR time/cost for the rest of the team.
This would only apply if the Medic wasn't in stasis lock and wasn't in combat at the time, but you could either have it be a passive effect, or something you actually assign the medic to do for an hour at a time. How much he accelerates healing would depend on his Intell and Repair Tactic.
